I think they focused too much on the fact that the Separatists were led by a Sith Lord. The reason they could not ignore the Separatists, even though the war was political, was because they had to consider that the Sith may be using the Separatists to form a new Sith Empire. Even though the Confederacy had legitimate complaints against the Republic, leaving them alone could have far more devastating consequences, especially since they knew that Count Dooku was a Master of propaganda. If there were no Sith Lord, or no information of one, the Jedi probably would have given more thought against joining the war. The fact that the leader of the Separatists was a Sith Lord, however, probably clouded their judgement.

The Sith's cunning scheme trapped the Jedi in a difficult situation. What if the Jedi stayed neutral and didn't lead the Republic's clone armies? Would it change the outcome significantly? Regardless of their choice, the dark side's power would still increase. Maybe this different approach could have made the Jedi Order stronger and more effective in making a difference. But kinda doubt it.

Another important part is that they are supposed to be both Warriors and Monks, both Gaurdians and Consulars.
The Order by allowing themselves to give into absolutes, either fully a warrior or fully the monk, led to their downfall during both the Clone Wars and during the Neo Mandalorian War where the Order was sharply divided into the two aspects.

By taking part in a war and not just keeping the peace ☮️ the Jedi exposed themselves to the all the negative emotions the Dark side uses to corrupt people. i know for a fact that Palpatine would have spun the narrative to charge the Jedi Order with Dereliction of Duty IF they refused to lead the Grand Army of the Republic into Battle. even if they instead acted as a relief group assisting war refugees, healing the injured and sick, Palpatine would find a way to make THEM the villain for not putting themselves in the line of fire so his ultimate plan (Order 66) could take place. I think you are overlooking the idea that the first play of the clone wars was the separatist trying to kill two jedi and then take hostage or eliminate over 200 jedi. They also had an idea that the sith were behind the separatist movement. They recognized that it was largely political but at the helm of the separatist was a former jedi who they now believed to be a sith serving under a sith lord. so you might say they thought from the get go that they were really just fighting against the sith.

Palpatine's intricate plan deftly manipulated the Jedi, compelling them to stretch their forces thin. The Jedi, accustomed to their roles as guardians of peace, found themselves burdened with the weighty responsibilities of military leaders and combatants in a galaxy-spanning war, a rarity not witnessed in a millennium. While the decline of the Republic might have eventually triggered conflict, the Sith seized this opportunity to cunningly exploit and hasten the galaxy's descent into chaos. Through this calculated tactic, the Jedi became embroiled in the Clone Wars, unknowingly battling what appeared to be an emerging Sith Empire, cleverly disguised as the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Only in the end did they realize that it was an intricately laid trap, from which escape seemed impossible, as their vision and judgement became increasingly clouded and misguided.
The Jedi exhaustively fought against the perceived Sith threat, inadvertently contributing to the rise of Palpatine’s Empire.

The Jedi were in a catch 22, if they didn't participate, then Dooku would have been free to commit even more atrocities than he did, and the Republic would have turned on them. Possibly accelerating their demise while causing more Jedi to defect to Dooku and the separatists. Or doing as Revan had done, going to war without the blessing of the order, and prolonging the conflict. If they got involved, they would be able to in theory quell the war more quickly but then open themselves up to massive losses and all the problems you mentioned.

The Force is there to balance out the Darkness that already existed in the galaxy, as the dark (selfishness, lust for power, evil acts), is inherently present among sentient beings.
People abusing the force for their own ends is a cancer in the force which it wants to rid itself of.
So the force is light, and with the darkside removed (the corruption of the force), the force provides the balance against the darkness of the galaxy.
I think the EU confused a lot of people as to the nature of the force per George Lucas’s vision, but it is stated in the films what balance means (no darkside, not balance between light and dark), and Lucas has talked about this many times

Sure Palpatine was trying to corrupt Anakin and the Republic his goal at the end as far as the Jedi goes was to show just how stagnant they had become, enough so that a genuinely good Jedi Master turned to the Sith as his valid concerns for how the corrupt the senate were largely ignored, and then if they'd of taken a step back and not get involved in the Clone Wars then their own clones wouldn't of gunned down nearly every Jedi.

You forgot the part where the Jedi learned from that Mandalorian war that the Jedi actively involved themselves with the clone wars. Not to mention that Jedi were supposed to be near prescient. Not sensing the clone wars and sensing the dark side cloud is already a red flag.
