Yeah I hate waiting for new videos. Especially because they only make a few a year. I could watch them all day everyday. That’s why I have rewatched every video like 10 times lol
Red lentils are a real treat especially outside. They taste great with a dollop of raw coconut oil as they cook. Thanks for the inspiration I can't get tired of these.
Excited to see the roof build. Awesome ladder, I once made a chair using only dovetails (no cordage) when I was on an extended multi-day camp, it worked great! Cheers
My favourite channel on UA-cam! That stair is very smartly crafted, awesome and cool. Great work! Very bushcrafty! Music and scenery is spot on, get this medieval feel to it.
IIRC the problem you mentioned with lining up the holes in the first ladder you built is traditionally solved by making the ladder from a split stave (or rather a piece out of a log with very straight grain). Because the two parts were split, they are easily ligned up again which makes re-aligning easier
Finally back...It's only been like forever , what I can't understand is that here in the southern hemi it's been winter and I would have thought in your summer it would have been a good time to work on the round house...glad to see ya back. :)
It’s been so long since I watched your last video, I’d nearly forgotten what skilled craftsmen you are. Jk. 😁 Beautiful land. Beautiful bushcraft. I look forward to seeing the completed project.
For an augered ladder, if you get some chalk or other powder dye and a length of string with knots at your rung distance, and coat the string with the chalk, you can snap a line down your piece with little spots marking each rung point. Then just augur in equal depth, make sure all your rungs are equal length, and assemble. Advisable to have a sap tar of some sort to put into each hole with the rung ends, and if you assemble both sides with half the rungs each, it should go together very smoothly.
@@TubeMeisterJC Me too! I think it is one of the most beautiful woods and I love the feel of it too especially while hand planing a well seasoned piece.
Very calming to watch. It takes away the stress while working.:) I dont know how to explain but i know what your doing even though im just listening. Did i make it clear? Hahaha anyways great videos.
Take ONE round pole, make the holes with an auger complete trough, then split it in half! now all your holes for the round steps are in line…thats one old traditional german way to built wooden ladders for fruit trees
i love when people say drills and chisels are cheating because they arent "bushcraft" im just like "bud, both of those have existed since the stone age" lmao
I wish you guys could make videos everyday. You guys always make great content to watch. Thank you guys.
Yeah I hate waiting for new videos. Especially because they only make a few a year. I could watch them all day everyday. That’s why I have rewatched every video like 10 times lol
But they make such great content BECAUSE they don’t make them everyday. They have time to do projects and think about what to film.
Primal camping Julius runs around crazy... hanging around camp with primitive tools...
He’s a wizard.
Always entertaining either way. 👍
finally, you guys rock
Am really enjoying the background music in this one!
ah I wish you included these videos in the roundhouse playlist, I binged the whole thing and didnt realise there were other videos that were related

Excellent work Julius !!!! You may catch hell with a bow drill and fire , but your primitive building skills are way , way above average !!!!!
It's truly mesmerising to watch your craftmanship Julius.

High quality videography, good work!

Awesome. Love these videos. Great to see you guys back.
Good fix
That is just awesome and amazing.
Very nice work, looks quite solid aswell. 👍🏻
Great Ladder. Ash is not so weather-resistant, so it is better to seal the sprouts with linseed oil or birch tar etcetera.
Great video! Cheers from Brazil!
So cool 😃 I would love to live there ✌️
What is your favourite wood? I think mine is ash at the moment.
Poppel here and maple! Made a woven basket from twigs for my backpack set.
@@nomadichunter2818 Hey, do you document any of the things you do? I would be very much interested in that.
@@TubeMeisterJC Me too! I think it is one of the most beautiful woods and I love the feel of it too especially while hand planing a well seasoned piece.
@@TubeMeisterJC Thanks for the info! There is lots of Holly where I am, I had no idea it was a hardwood honestly, but I will try it out for sure!
Love it!
Very good video as always 😊
It wil be interesting to see how it all comes to gether (interms of the roof) ,and what lader will last the longest.

Are you using thatch or those rolls of bog turf?
You'll see soon;)
I hope the roof is on before Autumn lads!
The roof is already on. He just has to spread the videos out a bit to create a series.
Woohoo!
Looks like you are going up in the world :p

Têm como vc tradoze para o português
i love when people say drills and chisels are cheating because they arent "bushcraft"
im just like "bud, both of those have existed since the stone age" lmao
Yup! Stone chisel and stone drill!
I just crafted my own raw iron from blom i found, it weights about 10 grams gonna make a mini chisel/knife/drill it can act as all those things.
I would say you need a lot of cordage to get up that thing. Although I didn't know you spelt it with an Irish accent.
Hope you guys are having fun here in the United States. Missouri there's nowhere around here to do that it's all crop land
❤️
No apostrophe in Fridays. Might want to fix that card.
Thanks
Dear Smooth Team,
Very nice video . can you make video on horse riding camping in jungle.
Gebruik het metrieke stelsel :dus meter ipv feet, Celsius ipv Fahrenheit, kg ipv pounds, natrium ipv sodium enz..
You know, I'm hoping you guys finish building your roundhouse from scratch before @BadObsessionMotorsport finish #ProjectBinky
hei sveis
