    I like how this guy leaves in the clips of himself being angry at the piece of metal, it's a very relatable process that's carried over to basically every kind of laborious task

    Seeing you drill that blade without a stopper if it catches and spins gave me a heart attack. Then once it did catch and spin on you, you kept doing it. Especially with the blade pointed at your hand! 😳

    You're so thorough with your angle grinder!... Makes me feel like I'm mistreating my 2x72... Cause I'm WAY lazier with my cutouts! I let the big grinder hog off whatever I don't feel like getting with my cut off wheels. lol

      I’m just cheap. 😆 I hate paying for belts.

    • @tpadgett2
      @tpadgett2 9 місяців тому

      @@angrypineappleknives I totally understand that... BUT, I can get a dozen or more rough grinds out of a $6-8 ceramic belt, but if I was cutting out with a cut off wheels like you do, I'd go through a $2 cut off wheel per blade. Admittedly, I'm not where near as efficient with my angle grinder as you are, but for me, even the cost works in favor of the belt grinder. I've been trying one of those Craff diamond cut off wheels lately, and I've only used it for a few blades, but I have to say, I've been impressed with it.

    Cool Knife. Love the design. If you dont mind me asking...did the pinecone you use for the scales a regular pinecone or was it treated in some way prior. I would love to try and make a handle from pinecone myself?

    • @angrypineappleknives
      @angrypineappleknives  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks for the feedback! I stabilized the pinecones in a vacuum chamber with Cactus Juice. I wait until they are fully cured before pouring the resin for the handle. The vacuum chamber, pump, and Cactus Juice are a bit of an investment, but can save you a lot of money if you want to stabilize your own knife scales. I can find mango wood fairly easily where I live and being able to stabilize it myself is a game changer. Also, there is something satisfying about creating handle scales from scratch. Best of luck with your pinecone handles, I'd love to see them when they are done.

    Beautiful knife, however you gave me serious pucker factor when the drill press flicked that blade around with the serrations ground in it already when the bit bound up....maybe next time consider doing the holes in the handle first? would be much less dangerous that way.
