It's the string isolation that sells it. Yeah, you could wire a new pickup to a second output or use a Y-split to run separate chains for wet/dry, but this specifically is for adding effects to isolated strings. Ex, octave and EQ on strings 5/6.

cant hear the effect. terrible example. why using two guitars? we need to hear it on-off-on-off. unless the subject is the song you were playing...

You could just split your stock output to 2 with an A/B/Y switchger
