    I just bought mine and I'm very impressed. Going from using a $20 basic keyboard, this thing is on another level. I was actually able to type faster because of how the keys feel.

    They did add a NUM Lock indicator to this newer model, so I don't think they are exactly offering less features for the price.

      No onboard memory at all, so you have to change the lighting every time if you don't like full light mode.
      The keys are not legible when the lighting is off, and the lighting doesn't include everything on the keys.

    I have had 2 of the old G413 with Romer-G switches, both have seen some careful surgeries, and replacement keycaps. Always loved the feel and the fact that it's one of the more affordable ones with nothing but a simple white backlight. And it feels and sounds nice, even with the loose stabilizers and all. But it finally came time once more to get a proper replacement + I wanted a TKL.
    So I got the G413 SE TKL. First impressions. The sound is louder, a clacking sound is heard when mashing the buttons all the way down, BUT it's more pleasant overall, softer, feels and sounds like pushing on lubricated buttons. The scratchy sound and feel of the old Romer-Gs is totally missing. The feel is absolutely fantastic for people who adore the TACTILE experience. The PBT keycaps feel nice, pretty much like the back of my Oneplus 11 which is frosted, lightly texturised glass :D
    One pretty big con here though - the media functions and some of the secondary things like @ are not backlit, at least not on the Nordic layout...
    Paid 55€, which is next to nothing for what you get.

    I have the TKL version and it's great. I got it for £40 brand new and the backlight is very bright unlike what some people are saying. It sounds nice and feels great, I don't feel the need to unscrew it and fill it with foam. The space bar is not rattly and it's great to game on or type on. It's made me love brown switches too.

    What I find strange is the keyboard advertises 6 key rollover, but when I actually test how many keys it can register at once, it's WAY over 6, and basically feels like n-key rollover

  • @CDeeez94
    @CDeeez94 2 роки тому +14

    Might just be me but I didn't hear a lot of rattle in the stock stabilizers. If that's true then good on them. That's a step in the right direction for stock pre-built keyboards. Hopefully one day in the near future, most mechanical keyboard companies will sell their keyboards with lubed stabilizers and switches. I know that might seem like a tough ask but I don't think it would be that difficult to pull off, and it would make almost 90% of users happier so they don't have to deal with scratchy switches and rattly stabilizers.
    Edit: Also, thanks for the review!

    Care, this kbrd has no G hub support. And as other said some keys like the @ light up partially. The FN key does not seem to be picked up from windows, or at least from the ahk keylogger diagnostic tool. It works as intended as a modifier before the signal gets processed, don't get me wrong, but I gave up trying to remap it to the right windows key. I remapped the key to the right of it instead, with a simple auto hot key script that I run at startup Appskey::RWin. Initially I wanted to return it but after this little tweak looks like I am gonna keep it.

    The problem i have with this keyboard it's the price. In my country the Logitech G413 SE is 66$ while the HyperX Alloy Origins keyboard is 71$ (They both have the same in house tactile switches and layout). But for those extra 5$ on the HyperX I get: 2 step feet adjustments, detachable USB C cable, full rgb support and macro settings(via software), on board memory, plus a fully aluminum body. Like this Logitech G413 SE is amazing, but it's so poorly placed in it's price bracket, if it was maybe 50$ i would've understood why it exists.

      @@VladosBb Well, having the keyboard for 6 months i do agree that their software is quite bad(almost bricked the keyboard using it). Because of that software a week ago i went with a SteelSeries Rival 3 mouse rather than a HyperX Pulsefire Haste.

    • @JoJanDiezel
      @JoJanDiezel Рік тому +1

      Does HyperX have PBT caps? I can tell you, PBT caps are superb for sound and feeling and I think this keyboard is a very good value. I have dozen other mechanical keyboards (x2 the price of this one) and recently bought this one for the office without thinking, it was on a sale, and didn't care for anything, except to do basic things. But man, it feels sooo good.

    • @Boofski
      @Boofski 2 місяці тому

      No PBT on HyperX board, you can get them separately or pre installed but that’ll run you up to about $100.
      The G413 SE TKL feels better because of this, and most people don’t care about RGB and macros.

    I don't know if they have improved the keys, because the first model has a really bad quality keys that is to break with the time and makes really difficult to change the key because of the remaining plastic inside the spot. Also has the issues with the double trigger when a particle of dust is in the sensor. So if I just recommend this keyboard if the deal is insane good, otherwise go for another

    • @Kaneguy

      The keys on my G413 Carbon has a good feel but my keyboard fell apart with multiple keys breaking and popping off for no apparent reason. I contemplated on replacing the keys but given the amount of what is being charged for each key coupled with the fact that the key design is defective to begin with, it made little financial sense to throw good money at something that would eventually fail again. If the keys on the G413 SE are the same design as the Carbon, I recommend that everyone pass on this keyboard.

    The G413 Carbon is one of my favorite keyboards. I didn't care about some of its features. Those being: The macro locations (F1-F12), the keycap material, and the key stem. I have really high hopes for the Romer G key switches. I like Cherry Corp's key switches I think they are great. As far as the back lighting and usb pass though its fine whether a keyboard has it or doesn't.
