- This station wagon was a favourite choice for large families. With its spacious boot and powerful engine, this car became England's most exported vehicle of its time!
These cars were often seen in summer heading off towards the coast towing caravans, boats or camper trailers.
It became the annual holiday vehicle of choice for the cash strapped families of the 60s.

Imagine my surprise to discover a makeover that I had missed! A delightful find on a Sunday afternoon!
My weekend isn't complete without Marty's Matchbox Makeovers...
Hello, very good Marty restoration, the fame of elvis has no borders, but on Mars its popularity comes.
Look, an unboxing video within a restoration video! Brilliant!!!
Another saved model, well done Marty ! The light yellow color is very fresh !
A great pair of restorations Marty, but us lucky viewers are the Victors too.
I use these videos as a form of meditation. The Marty Method is so relaxing!
Cut the icecreamsticks Down the middle. 😉 And with an Electric toothbrush you get the work done even faster and can make even more videoes. That Julie is a GEM!
Another beautiful restoration, and entertaining viedo. Thanks for sharing to us.
My Grandfather had a Victor saloon in sky blue with the front bench seat. Fun fact about him is that he learnt to drive BEFORE there was a driving test and he had driven a steam lorry! During WW2 he once had the job as a home guard of guarding a big hole caused by a V1.
Marty, the master of matchbox innovation.
Your humor really adds to the enjoyment of your videos!
You really brighten up my day Marty. My Dad used to have a Vauxhall Victor saloon which was sadly smashed into many pieces by a Lorry while parked outside our house. Greetings from South Wales, U.K.
You made Vauxhall great again 👍👍👍👍👍 !
I like that you lose little sleep that it's not 100% original... beautiful work.
Elvis must have stopped on the way home to Alpha Centauri and put a statue of himself for us to find on Mars.
Nice straight on restoration by the "king" of matchbox restorers!🤴🏻
Another fantastic restoration! Another model I had as a child. I was fully expecting you to scream “Kevin” when you were digging through the vacuum!
My dad had one those Vauxhall’s back in the day Marty …the real motor …I think it was two colours a Green & beige …cheers !
Nice restore. Great job.
Thanks, Marty. I swear man, these are therapeutic for me.
Loved presentation. Such micro precision. I also loved BLOOPERS at the end.
Always enjoy these match box mania vids....
Very nice work. Love the green interior.
More Kevin.👍
Wonderful my dear simply wonderful. I love your vids. I've seen them all at least 3 times.
Good evening Marty from the state of Florida. Please don’t take my comment the wrong way! I Love your videos at 3 am when I need to get back to sleep. I find your smooth background music and quiet soothing description of your outstanding makeovers help me doze off. I end up watching a video about 5 different times before watching the whole video. Please go back to the soothing description of your work. Thanks again you have a talent for fine craftsmanship.
Another fantastic restoration!
THANK YOU...for sharing. Yes.
Another great video, kudos too you for improvising.
The green one looks best imho. Well done.
Love your paper in your pant booth
I'm always impressed with your ingenuity
Awesome job Marty I hope you do a caravan or a trailer next please.........Ps with your new stir sticks can you cut them from the top to the bottom right in half keep doing what you are doing you are awesome 👍👍👍👍👍🤩🤩🤩🤩
Looks wonderful Marty, thank you. Take care as always from South Africa
BEAUTIFUL JOB MARTY
Like me and a lot of 'things' of this Vintage Marty, she's gone in the rear suspension! LOL As always, I love this make over. Thank you.
Amazing restoration 👍🏽😎
Very entertaining. The model came out very nice.
Another impeccable restore, Marty!
Great job! I like the color match and thr repair in the hitch. Thanks
I look forward to your videos every week!
Really nice job on the hitch mod...cool restoration.
😜Well done with the word play, Marty😜 The Jet is waaaaaaay better now. 👍🏼⚡️
Fantastic restoration
I’m always enjoying your videos. Thank you for the work you put into the models and video.
Wow Marty, that wagon turned out beautiful. Nice job on the trailer hitch.
Great job Marty, fantastic restoration as always. I see the moon people have taken to Elvis dedicating a statue to him . Apparently he's still ding live gigs on the dark side of the moon, with Keith Moon, Sid Vicious, and Kurt Cobain ...... what a line up that is 😄👍
Don't change a thing! I am happy with that! Wow Marty, a DUK for your tactical combat force! Cool!
Love your voice very entertaining for a model car fan like me You are a funny guy! Good stuff!
Another job well done Marty.
Great job! Well done on that tow hitch.
A superb restoration
Great video and restoration.
Great restoration
Great job Marty. You wouldn’t believe the items I’ve pulled from our vacuum over the years. My kids did not believe in picking things up first. Ha
Nice refurbish, now I know where my Elvis statue went, THANK YA THANK YA VERY MUCH
Statue of Elvis found on Mars😵
Jajaja
Gracias Marty por tu humor y tus videos
Fantastic video thank you Marty!
I'm happy with that!
I came for restorations and stayed for the little gags, today’s was hilarious!
Gotta luv the dragon kits with all there extra spare bits
I like the red interior better with the yellow, the mint one would go real nice with that white you were thinking of keeping. Great job!
Really nice job on the tow hitch.
Vauxhalls are not common in the US, but as a teen a buddy had two of them. The 1965 looked like somebody washed a 55 Chevy and it shrunk, the 67 was same deal but looked like a shrunken 57 Chevy. Cool little cars. Funny how he liked little cars... he was a huge guy.
aha Marty...just done a pair of these...they are a great model to work with! Nice one son!
Great video, i found myself a new hobby!
As always great to watch you work
Excellent as usual cobber very cool tow hitch idea
Woo its that time of the week again! #Beer+Marty!
For a perfect mixing jar, clean old Tamiya jars with lacquer thinners. The glass jar, plastic lids and seals are all proof against this solvent and will provide a perfect sealing container
to store paint.
As always great job Thanks
Excellent work sir. Fascinating video.
I'm in the closing stages of restoring a real one of these. A saloon. Just came in from the shed and your video pops up! The car itself came out in '61, so I presume you're referring to when Matchbox launched their's. My original showroom brochure calls that shade of yellow Primrose. Great restoration. Thanks.
EXCELENTE!!!
Another piece of art!!
Fantastic work.
Superb work!!! Very well done.
I still have a pair of Vauxhall FB rear lights that I got from a dismantler some 40 years ago; I used them to make a trailer board for my Land Rover. Of course, as a Land Rover owner, I was a bit surprised by your "most exported vehicle of its time" assertion!
That was a quote from Wiki. So I thought I would put it in. :)
Marty your such a refreshing change from all the crap on the interweb, many thanks.
Nice recovery of that model Martin..
Very nice job. One of my favorites so far! Enjoy them all to be honest.
Well done Marty what a lovely job you've made, those stirrers you could cut them down the middle with a Stanley knife you'll have a thousand then they will last a lifetime
Excellent video. You’re a master of the fiddlily bits.
And fiddling his bits
Well done sir, looks super.
That yellow came out great! nice work.
Great Job Marty👍👍👍
Fantabulous!
Didn’t watch video yes but I’m excited! I have one of these models in pristine condition I got on eBay for a cheap price. It goes good with the yellow caravan camper with the white roof
Awesome work
👍👍 Good job Marty!
Nice job. Unusual for a drill bit to bend like that, must be very soft. When I put that statue on Mars I thought it wouldn't be found for a hundred years or so...
In the US the narrow stirrers are used for mixing beverages. The wide paint stirrers are called "pop sicile" sticks. Sweetened flavored water and or ice cream is frozen over about 2/3 the length of the stick. The protruding 1/3 if the stick is for hand to mouth operation. The Vauxhall tail lights remind me of the same units on a 1958 Chevrolet. Thanks again
Great job Marty!
Looks great Marty!!👍🏻👍🏻
nice one,again,Marty.
Marty you are the best, I love your videos
Thanks so much
Go easy on her, mate. Everyone deserves a break. No harm, no foul.
Great job!
One cool thing you could plan for a next video is a complete remake of the glass part through a resin casting after molding its imprint.
Your funniest video to date! Thanks always for the laughs, Marty!
Great!!!
Thanks!
Really well done, Marty.
