You explain everything about HAIR, waves, volume and lift better and clearer than all of my hair dressers put together thru the years! And I am 71 years old with both flat and wavy hair. Thank you, now I get it.
Your mom looks beautiful! Happy birthday to her and also your dad soon! You always do so well at explaining the steps of a demo in great detail. I love that mom is growing out her silver! I tried to encourage and get my mom to do that and she told me to get lost. Also, loved the Shadow cameo jumping up on your dad's lap! hehe
Thank you Judy!!! I didn't realize how much we look alike until this video - probably because she always has her glasses on but wanted them off to show off her makeup I did haha Doing her makeup "how I do mine" I am sure accentuates our similarities too!
Yay! I've been dying to see how your mum's hair is doing after the last video you did with her starting her curly journey. Your mum seems a lovely person, just like her daughter 😊
I so agree with what you said about finding the natural part. For years I was parting my hair on the 'wrong' side (dunno why) and always struggled with a stubborn curl sitting right in the middle of my forehead on its own. When I started learning more about my hair during my silver transition, it was the first time I noticed which way it was curling, and the moment I changed the side, I've never had any problems with it since. It just sits comfortably now with its long lost curl family! Thankyou Stephanie and family. ♥️♥️🌺🌱
What a beautiful family! Your Mama is gorgeous. I can’t wait to see what her hair looks like when it is fully silver. Thanks for this tutorial. You are such a good teacher!
You are your mom's mini-me with dad's eye color:) Your mom is s o cute! She's going to LOVE her silvers when she's totally transitioned! I love my pewter and peppers :) Best thing I ever did!My birthday is May 5th, and hubs is May 22nd. btw...I just thought , if your mom shaved her hair like yours she's be done and have all her silvers coming out to play. She'd look good with it , just like her mini me looks good with short hair. How easy for the summer and the grow out !
I am so excited for her. Going silver and curly at the same time! What an adventure to have in your 60s! I am so grateful I get to be her guide. Happy birthday to you and the hubby!
"Waves are not failed curls…" Thank you! I'll be 65 the end of this May and it's only been in the last 18 months that I discovered I have textured hair. It's too curly to be considered wavy and not consistently curly enough to be considered curly: "neither fish nor fowl nor good red meat." LOL! Although my hair is past my shoulders the growth pattern is so like your mother's that it's kinda spooky. This video is sooo helpful for me!
Representation for everyone is something I aim for. It has been much harder with COVID limiting me to my family but hopefully I can get more models soon. I am glad this helped you!
your mom's hair looks cute, and I am proud of her for growing out her silver! I'm growing mine out also, but it's not beautiful silver like your mothers. Growing out the grey is not for sissies.
Sadly when hair loses its melanin there is still an "ideal" for how that should look. I hate that so much!!!!! All hair colors are beautiful because they are formed within your beautiful, miraculous body. I wish I could squash every ideal out there that stops people from feeling like "enough" about their own hair but I am doing my best to send that message every single day to as many people as possible.
Beautiful family. Family is the best gift anyone could ask for. Cherish your loved ones, everyone, b/c we are not promised another day. As much as my family gets on my nerves I am super blessed to have them in my life. Great video, good hair styling lesson, thank you!
I’ve heard that touching the hair will make it frizzy while blow drying. I’ve broken the “rule” and use some of your technique already. I’m gonna give your way a try and touch my hair more to manipulate it. Thank you 😊
I just found your channel. My Son is getting married this June. I wanted some Ideas to styling my hair. I just cut my curly hair into a pixie and bleached my hair 3 tones . I like what you're doing for your Mom hair. The products . Using your hands like a claw . I'm going to give it a try. Bless you. I grew out my org color. Grey not good. Thank you ..
Have you tried wearing a wide headband when the roots get really grown out? That's an easy trick for getting through that phase if styling with this technique isn't enough to hide the contrast. I hope it helps!
Your mom is so cute! Love the hair too! ❤️. BTW where was the link for the auction for an appointment? I searched IG, FB, online site....I couldn’t find it anywhere 😢. Where will the link for Wednesday be? Thanks!!!
Hi Dottie! I know we talked through messenger but if anyone else is wondering - I decided to make the contribution to my friend for the highest price the 5 appointments would have gone for out of my own pocket and I instead will replenish those funds with new client appointments, so every appointment helps but I did make a $2000 gift to her to help with her medical bills as she's getting ready to finally leave the hospital. I will make sure you get one of those appointments if you want it because you have been so adamant! Can't wait to meet you. Love - Stephanie
Hahaha the song is Come out and play by offspring. My mind went there too. My crazy brain relates everything it can to music. Your Mom's hair is beautiful 💞 I'm debating myself whether or not I'll let the gray grow in. At this point i have a few silver streamers
I feel like the more important question than whether you are ready for grey is how ready are you to give up coloring? If the desire to stop having to touch up your roots outweighs the desire to have a certain hair color then I say stop. That was the deciding factor for my mom. Even with a daughter who can do her root touch ups - she prefers not to have to be sitting in my chair for a few hours every 2-3 weeks and we both prefer for her not to have chemicals on her scalp. Now that I don't use ammonia color they've become more difficult to cover anyway!
I never really wanna part my hair cause my roots fall too flat around it and don’t curl. I’ve been combing it all down like the front forward the sides down each side and the back down the back. Then when I’m done I finger comb it all wet upside down and flip up. Then it just falls wherever. 🤷🏽♀️
Halo mom, dad & Dennis & of course our funluvn Stephanie & I see where you got your beaUtifUl looks from Stephanie & I see you are blessed with wonderful parents... It's nice to meet you & happy Mother's Day & future happy birthday to dad, smiles... My hair is a silver grayish colors & that's the way it will stay & by looking at you, gray will look so good on mom... Loves, hugs & the brightest blessings 1 & all... 😘 🌹🌈💞🎵🌷🌺🌸😆👏👍💫🌟💛 ☘️ ~"1 & all please take care of you & yours"~ ~"Love, Hope, Peace, Kindness, Dream, Inspire, Laughter, Joy, Give, Live & Let Live"~
Thanks so much Ruby! I agree- I think her silver is going to look awesome on her especially with the short hairstyle! At this length she probably has about 6 months to go until it is all cut off. She was tempted to buzz it like me!
I am a straight man and I enjoy styling women’s hair. The first woman whose hair I ever styled is my mother. I enjoy styling my moms hair. It’s a lot of fun I style her hair and we talk while I’m styling. Then when I’m done she kisses me on the cheek

That looked great. And your explanations as you went. Hope you had a happy Mother’s Day, mum.
I so appreciate your videos! No fuss, debunk "all the things" thank you for all your efforts!
Your mom is stinking cute!

Oh I knew you’d be so excited when she made her appearance Hahahaha she’s such a baby!!!!
This cut really suits your mother's face, it makes her look younger than the bob she had before, even with the silver parts! You two are so cute!
Thanks Caro! I agree with your comment about her hair flattering her! And thank you
You and your mom look so much alike. You’re both beautiful ♥️.
Thank you Judy!!! I didn't realize how much we look alike until this video - probably because she always has her glasses on but wanted them off to show off her makeup I did haha Doing her makeup "how I do mine" I am sure accentuates our similarities too!
You have mom’s smile and I love that dad has the dog on his lap. That’s a typical look at my home too!
You mom seems wonderful! So sweet! Thanks for being such a great model.
She’s the best! She’s been the easiest client of my career - that’s for sure. ❤️
Enjoy seeing you two lovelies, and getting your tips and techniques at the same time.
You all make beautiful family!
Thank you!! It was fun. I will have to do my mother in law next. She is curlier and has a bob.
Oh my gosh your mom is so cute! And thank you for doing a video for barely curly, shorter hair with flat roots! You’re awesome Curl Ninja ➰🤘➰
You are awesome too! Thank you!
Yay! I've been dying to see how your mum's hair is doing after the last video you did with her starting her curly journey. Your mum seems a lovely person, just like her daughter 😊

Looks lovely!!! And you’re both just beautiful!
Thank you so much from both of us!
May is the month!! My birthday was May 2nd! Best month ever! I love dad with granddog in the background 💕
Happy belated!!!
Your mom is so pretty! I didn’t realize how much you two looked alike!
Thank you so much! I didn't either until this video. Seeing her without glasses and with her makeup done by me really accentuates our similarities!
Your mom is gorgeous! I want to look like her when I'm older!!
Your mom looks really nice with the short curly hair 😉 Beautiful Look 😍
Thank you Gina!!
Waves are not failed curls. You can't force nature. That's gotta be ok. It's all learned. Thank you.

I've made 2 attempts at growing out my gray hair but it grows sooo slow and I can't stand the gingery brown ends but trying again!

@@StephanieMero thanks for the tip!
