This was 2 years ago. But I just doing my first globe. When you say fill it up glitter or liquid.
Do they come with wholes at buttom of the tumbler
What do you recommend for tumblers that leak? Is there a fix for that?
I've been doing a ton of experiments to find a solution. Nothing has been very successful yet but not giving up.
Why would that happen
I'm having an issue of it getting stuck at the moment I'm making them. And now I have one I left it up right hoping they would fall over night but now the glitter is stuck about an inch down from the top. It's shaped glitter and I don't know why it's not flowing up an down AT ALL. can you help me understand how to fix it.
The inside wall of your tumbler could be too thin? You can send me a picture on Instagram if you want.
I’m currently having that issue. Will it fix the problem more permanently?
Are you using fine glitter? That may also be the cause of it. Try only using chunky glitter.
You can clearly see at 2:50 where all the fine glitter is stuck. Fine glitter will always make you snowglobe clog in the top and also tints your mix a bit and can later cause mold. Just a few tips I’ve learned along the way. Hope that helps you a bit.
where do you get your tumblers from?
These ones I got from Michaels but are not the best for leakage.
Hi does your cups ever leak at the rim?
The new design cups I've been getting at micheals seem to be a bit better for leakage. I have had them leak at the rim though. Not with the new design yet anyway. They seem to be a bit better tougher.
@@weirdandwonderful thanks for your reply, but I just bought mine on Saturday of last week and leaked so bad, and I've already sealed the bottom, lol just my luck
@@BBLIVELOVEEAT I've had it happen quite a few times. I've not found a good solution to fix them either.
@@weirdandwonderful oh ok, I actually watched a video where this lady took permanent clear vinyl and sealed the seem, and she mentioned using epoxy just for assurance, I will try it but I don't have that type of vinyl.
@@BBLIVELOVEEAT definitely worth the try and then maybe epoxy over it, although not sure how well epoxy will stick. Maybe sand it a little so it has something to bond to. I've tried melting them, I've tried gluing and epoxy (without vinyl).. neither worked well. They just kept leaking.
Try second hand stores, you can find cups from 2 to 10$
