I sealed with gorilla glue dots because it’s what I saw other people use and HATED them. They are so hard to work with. I like your method better!
Yeah I couldn’t even find those lol. These lay flat! And they seal really well
@@FlynnSistersBoutique you are not missing out. They are a nightmare to even get off the paper and then they are just a tiny bit bigger than the hole so you have to sit them perfectly on there. It was a mess!!
Hahaha ya ok I’m dealing with the glass ones hehe…. Swirl it baby. I had the inside bottom of mine blow out in one piece today. My uv epoxy was tacky so I decided to put in the sun. I fell asleep and it popped the inside seal! It was crazy. Not the brad your using
You can use a small funnel to place into the tumbler hole that way you don’t have to use tape.
Can you put hot coffee in one of these glass tumblers, or only cold drinks? Can’t find anything on SSD or craft haven’s websites except generic statements about avoiding sudden temperature changes
I have used hot coffee with no issues.
Thanks for your video! I did a couple glass tumblers and loved them, i am nervous to seal with resin because i dont want it to be wobbly. The bottom of the glass isnt very low if you know what i mean. Do you ever have problems with this?
Its really the same as any epoxy tumbler on the bottom.

I am wanting to get into making tumblers like this. I was wondering the uv resin you use, is it hard or soft resin? When I looked at getting uv resin there was soft or hard. Not sure what to get
Hard resin.
I love this 💗 the epoxy resin that you applied all over does it self level itself ? And do you keep it turning whilst drying ?
It is 2 part epoxy and it does self level. It is constantly turning as it cures.
Recently found your channel and I love it! I have a question, can you seal the vinyl with uv resin instead of epoxy?
I wouldn't seal a full tumbler with uv epoxy.

Is the cup super heavy? They are heavy already being glass but then with the glitter, liquid AND epoxy on top 🥴 I’m hesitant to try lol
Not in my opinion
Extemely heavy after being filled with the water. Its a bit scary to carry around for a clumsy human. :)
What happened to the original water that you placed to the side??
Nothing. I just filled the tumbler with water and transfered it to the measuring cup yo measure how much the tumbler holds. That helped me determine how much of my glycerin/distilled water solution to mix.

Try adding less glitter and add your solution until its soaks through.

how do I do epoxy without the spinny thing
If you dont have a turner, you can constantly turn them by hand for the first 6-8 hours making sure you keep them level to keep the epoxy from pooling.

how many layers of epoxy do you put?
For this particular one, i did say I needed 2 coats for a smooth finish, but the amount of layers depends on surface and the application. Its not a one size fits all type of thing.
So cute. I really want to try to do some of the glass tumblers. I really like the idea that you don't have to risk cracking the cup trying to drill it. 🥰

Can I use regular water or does it have to be distilled water?
Regular water can mold. I would not make this tumbler without distilled water. You can find gallons of distilled water in the laundry aisle of your supermarket for under $2 and it will last you quite a while!

So glad you’re feeling better!! I have a friend w/vertigo and that stuff is awful!!! And I just have to say… OMG This!!! This makes me SMILE big time!! I mean seriously!! I do have a question!! Have you ever used CCDIY uv resin before?? I ordered some of your uv resin & I’m so excited to try it!! They sometimes have issues (or it seems to me) keeping it in stock and it’s very frustrating to say the least!! I’m hoping this just blows theirs away!!

You can epoxy glass. I did 2 coats on this. I have epoxied glass for years
That is so cute and yes that glass snow globe tumbler is much nicer than having to drill a hole in the bottom of a plastic cup.
This is so so cute! sorry you are also dealing with Vertigo. It is the worst, scariest feeling one can have. I've had 3 episodes since May of this year. Doctors are not much help here. I had covid 2 weeks ago and I managed...but Vertigo hit me a week in and that was game over! I honestly still feel like I'm tilted to the right if that makes sense. It makes me feel depressed. Hopefully we can find a permanent solution.

I know this sounds silly but what's the recommendation to clean the tumbler without the vinyl coming off even if its permanent vinyl if I don't want to epoxy it
I wouldnt use anything but permanent vinyl if you're not epoxying over it. Then gently handwash. No soaking.

Im having a problem with filling them, 2 so far even with overnight resting, wont fill up all the way. Too big of air bubbles. Any suggestions

I have added vinyl to the subliminal glass but i dont sublimate on tumblers.

Hi Jessica! I’m so happy you this tutorial! It’s beautiful! So let me ask you, if you had not epoxied the whole cup would you have sealed the hole the same exact way?? I sublimate so I don’t need to epoxy but I’m so nervous I’ll make the bottom of the cup uneven!!

@Flynn Sisters Boutique thank you and one more question, sorry I'm new at this. What epoxy did you use to cover the whole tumbler?
How long did you let it sit after epoxying it ? And did you only do 1 coat?
I did 2 coats and after it dried in my turner it sit for a couple days
Love it and YES please twice a week.
after you epoxy it do you have to do anything else or just let it dry.
Let it try and as long as the epoxy coat is smooth and the vinyl is coated well you're done. If not, youd do another coat.

Some say using distilled keeps it from molding. Others say they didn't use distilled and it was fine.
glycerin is a preservative at 55% of the mixture
