I have one. I use 3-4 of the presets all the time, they're great. I made a few modifications to them. The rest, eh, I use a few occasionally but others i will never use. On balance though, the good presets sound so much better than my distortion pedals. I've been selling pedals that I no longer use.
I've played a few of these digital multi-FX boxes, I even bought a Mooer one, a while back. They generally sound fine, in a mix you probably couldn't tell it wasn't a real amp, but there's something about them that just doesn't work for me for some reason. I don't think its the "option paralysis" where you endlessly cycle through menus and never just play, there just seems to be something about playing through them that just feels so dull, I hate to use the word "Feel" but I can't think of anything better. I thought they would be good for silent playing (kids in bed etc) but most of the time I'd rather just play an unplugged electric. I don't know why I think this, the only possibility could be some sort of tiny latency, that I can't really hear, but my brain is obviously perceiving and it leaves me feeling really disconnected from my own playing.
Fair enough mate! The amazing thing these days is that there’s so much great gear at all price points these days that there’s never been a better time to be a guitarist imo. I think these are ideal more for youngsters or beginners wanting to just have fun with a bunch of effects and smash through some presets 🤘😊
@@LetsPlayAll That's true... I'd have loved something like this when I was 17! I remember the Korg G3 coming out in the 90s and it was cost prohibitive for me so I stuck with my Peavey Bandit!
@@LetsPlayAll Given how depressing the future must look for your average 17 year old right now we could be in for a proper grunge revival over the next few years! Win!
What I would like to know is, can you create your own tone patches say for instance a George Lynch tone and then a Van Halen tone and assign them to each footswitch so you can toggle back and forth on-the-fly?
I have one of the most popular guitar units off Amazon the Valeton GP-100 which is great but I don't find enough smooth distortion the only thing that niggles at me, I hate fuzzy or fizzy distortions. Great review and paying mate!
Great demo and playing. I would like to have seen you use the pedal and hear what effects sound like with it. I was hoping you could assign the pitch-shifter effect to the pedal, thus emulating a digitech whammy. Do you know if this is possible.
Hey Matt, good pedal for all the different sounds and things you can do with it. The wah would be good for me and alot others. Thanks for the demonstration. Cheers mate.
It would be interesting if you used a budget guitar as well with a budget modeler so a beginner can get good idea of what it would sound like for them🤷♂️
Fair point! Tbh the majority of budget guitars out there sound pretty good these days so it’s more about how they feel playing them. I’ve played this with a donner guitar tho and it still sounds great but will make a note for future vids for sure 🤘😊
It would sound great even with budget guitar. Most of the tone comes from his fingers. A beginner can even have a better guitar and would take yeara to sound at this level.
That's quite a pedal! Thoroughly enjoyed the examples you were demoing for each setting too. Have you had a look at the software available to tweak the settings? It would be interesting to know what you think about that too. Thanks for another cracking pedal demo. 🫶🏼
Thanks Neil! I haven't delved into that too much, just wanted to give a flavour of the stock tones on offer and easy ways to turn off/on the effects as a starting point!
@@mixedmartialnutrition1746thanks, I didn't want to get into pedals as a beginner until I harvest my sound and skills. But I might use this idea. For portability this modeler and 1 loop pedal for on the go practice. When I get settled I will see what the software does.
I never use any post processing in any of my vids mate. Not even on my voice. Signal chain for guitar is guitar - pedal - interface - daw. My voice is picked up by a rode shotgun mic into a zoom recorder. That’s it! I mention at the beginning of the vid that what you’re hearing tone wise is how it sounds into an interface or when using headphones with it. I always try to capture the audio as honestly as possible 🤘😊

1 of the best demos on this pedal thank u
Cheers! New one coming soon!
Stumbled here after a search for this pedal. Subscribed immediately. Awesome playing and demo. Thank you.
Cheers and welcome!
I like how you play different styles and different riffs per patch, most guys will solo over it all and show off and not show how the thing sounds
Thanks so much!

Hi! That IR Sampling length: 512 or 1024 pts ?
Purchased mine today. I suspect this product will go up in price because it's just too dang good to be budget.
Nice! Cracking little unit 🤘
Is there a way to connect an additional footswitch that is lacking?

What’s the song at 2:48 ??
Yellow Ledbetter
Sorry for the newb question but
Could this be plugged directly in studio monitors
Without an interface?
Thanks
Don't see why not! There's a few output jacks, 2 x 1/4" stereo outputs
and 1 x 1/8" headphone output so the 1/4" ones should work fine for monitors

Awesome demo....just out of curiosity, how good does it work as an Audio interface?.....is it good for recording to a DAW without any latency/delay?

Hi I use a Harley Benton Les Paul Junior twin cut away 129.00Euros
And it sounds great.
I have a Fender mustang 25 and out of fifty or more presets, I use two all the time. The rest aaah.
Me too, I use like 3-4 all the time and they're great (2 I modified). The rest are..well, most are not that useful for me personally. Some are.

Guns n Roses - Paradise City?

Now you're talking :-)
OK. You have sold it to me!!
Will this pedal save recorded loops for later use.
Good question, yes but i don't think they're saved if you turn the unit off
probably not there is plenty of budget loopers you can add berfore this one in the chain

You could use the “Floating” selection for: Stay With Me (Beautiful Girl) by INXS

Does it have a whammy setting? Rage type stuff?
not that i could see mate

nice
