- I've been meaning to revisit my original grunge pedalboard build for a while now so when MONO reached out to see if I'd like to demo their new Pedalboard Rail I thought this would be the perfect opportunity for Grunge Pedalboard version 2.0! Thoughts on my pedal choices are over at Patreon / letsplayall

Very happy to see Airborn Flanger there! Thanks, Matthew! ❤
You’re welcome mate, cracking pedal!
Can I get one in Canada?
@@peterhenderson2193 yes I believe they ship direct worldwide but best to check direct 🤘
This is 100% the content I am here for! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Cheers Chris!
I’ve really enjoyed watching your channel grow and your gear upgrade along the way ;-) keep up the good work.
Thanks mate! Lots more to come 🤘😊🤘
Love to watch your videos. Great board btw! ❤
Thanks v much!
Great sounds on this one! Mono are doing some real quality stuff! I'll have to check out what boards they've got to upgrade mine.
Cheers! Yea they always make great quality stuff! I think they’ve got 3 sizes, this is the small at 18” - they asked me if I wanted small or medium and I defo should have gone medium haha 😀
@@LetsPlayAll I went for the big one myself once. Rockboard Cinque 5.2. It was too much, because it wasn't only going to be my studio board. So now I'm looking at their Quad 4.2 or what is called... It's a bit deeper, which suits me well because I'm using a loop switcher. But I'll look at Mono, I like their cases and the power supplies are great!
Nice work 🤟
Super happy seeing the airborne! We have so many great pedal companies here in Brazil! Got me feeling patriotic hahaha
Also perfect timing I just started planning my pedalboard redo, the current iteration having borrowed heavily from your previous board! Great sounds as always
Yea! 🇧🇷Awesome have fun with your build!
Brazil and Argentina have some excellent builders.
RetroheadFX made a Phaser and Flanger, years prior to the near exact circuits being released by Thorpy, for less than half the price, but be rather were just a few people, they had no distributor. The shipping fee to the U.S. cost about the same as the pedals. Which were about $150 US.
Their Cosmic Phaser and Robotic Flanger, had the most abilities I’d ever seen in analog pedals, until just recently.
I still have a Deep Trip BOG, and I hope Sabbadius is still making Uni Vibes, when I can afford one.
@@CorbCorbinoh I’ve always wondered where sabbadius got his vibe parts, they’re so damn hard to find! His pedals are incredible definitely on the bucket list!!
Obrigado Hector! ❤️
Lovely board 🤟🏽🎸
Cheers mate!
Nice pedalboard, nice sound🙂🎶🎸
Thanks mate!
Personally, I'd prefer a bigger board, no matter if home playing or rehearsing, just to allow some space between the pedals to be able to comfortably hit those switches as it's pretty hard especially in a crowded board (10-12 pedals) I wouldn't want to stop playing & search for the right switch for 3secs every time cause they're too close to each other, I'd like to be able to find the switch in a blink of an eye, even though i use & would advice everyone to use the flat angled low profile patch cables they make everything on the board smooth, clean & tidy.
Other than that I'd like to say what a great video, perfectly to the point, no bullshit, great format & great playing. I know its "paid promotion" but didn't felt that way. I stopped watching gear youtube channels cause they always try to create hype in order to push products everytime a new product comes out. Please keep it that way there are only a few real honest gear channels on here. Cheers!
Hit another one out of the park-
It’s classic listening to you playing - because it’s all the stuff I play-
Hell, you probably taught me lots of it as well-
Thoughts on the BE OD and or the Plumes?
Your pedalboard sounds great-
Thanks mate! Haven’t tried the Plumes but heard good things, the BE-OD is great tho, excellent pedal
I use a variety of drives too. I have a "Han-Taun" (Klone) by Idiotbox which I use in a similar way to your Lightspeed and an OCD for a bit more gain. But first in my chain is actually a TubeScreamer - its just great for making lead cut through a mix - its literally just clicked on for solos. For a Flanger I hunted down an old Arion Flanger which was the first pedal I bought in about 1994.
nice!
Just build one with NU-X B-8, Boss SY1000, Boss FZ-1w and Horizon Devices Clarity Compressor.
Using mono small power suppy since i can use powerbank with those.
I actually purposely choose to go small this times.
Riding yamaha MT with big ass pedalboard and guitar gig bag were kinda tiring after a while 😂
Haha nice, those mono power supplies are excellent 👌
Super grunge fans say hello!
That expandable power supply is tempting. I have a CS12 but could use a couple more power slots. How did you mount the power supply? Velcro?
I’ve got the cs12 too 😊 The large mono one is great as all 10 slots are 500mA. It comes with two mounting options, a Velcro strip that’s already cut to size (that’s what I used here) and also comes with brackets that screw into the power supply
@@LetsPlayAll perfect, I'm gonn check it out
Matt, I remember you used to stack gain pedals - do you do that any more or mostly just either/or now?
At times but the 1991 has two cascading gain stages so with that one there’s no need 🤘😊
Man I wish I had these options but living in Brazil is not gonna be as easy. What you recommend? I look into similar circuits built by other brands? Particularly loved 1991.
Not sure what you have available tbh but there's lots of great Brazilian builders - Krozz is one! ;-)
amazing!!! How can I get the 1991 pedal? (in Europe) and something similar? thank you so much
Cheers! You can order the 1991 direct (FLB don’t use shops to keep the price of the pedal down 🤘😊) - funnylittleboxes.co.uk/products/funny-little-boxes-1991 - there a short 4-6 week wait but imo totally worth it. I use it for everything 🤘😊
Thoroughly spiffing 1900s music my good man.
Whats the riff at 6:43 🤣 i hear it all the time and definitely should know
Yellow Ledbetter 😊🤘
@@LetsPlayAll awesome thanks man, great content 👌 would love to see a black stone cherry lesson series.
Hey bud
You should try doing under the pressure by the war on drugs. They use serious sound effects and pedals. Be great for your demos. They are support Vedder at Ohana too 🤙
Haven’t heard of them will check them out 😀🤘
@@LetsPlayAll no way dude. Be prepared to be blown away. On you tube they have a video for under the pressure at Austin City Limits. Amazing. Wait to you see his pedal board. Defo extra large. You must let me know what you think. Very very good band. Rocked Glasto this year with a killer set!!!
I'm curious what amp and can you use?
Morgan MVP66 😊🤘
Can you do this same video but “on a budget”?
been meaning to do a budget one so defo at some point mate
What you think about the ds-1?
It's a classic - i don't use it loads personally as the 1991 sorts that type of drive for me, but a great pedal and cheapish too
@@LetsPlayAll i wish I could have the 1991 mate! do you have a substitute recommendation? (maybe more accessible worldwide). I'll look into krozz, thanks. great channel
Fun video to watch as usual. Just out of curiosity (so feel free not to answer of course :) ). Do you make anything else for living (apart from the UA-cam?) Cheers
Thanks mate! I’ve got a full time job outside of YT - this isn’t enough to make a living out of unfortunately (well not just yet anyway!) This is a hobby that got way out of hand 😀🤘
Can you add the pedal list on the description?
Sure! Done :-)
@@LetsPlayAll thank you so much 🙏
Who makes the Tele style guitar?
Seth Baccus, insanely good UK luthier
@@LetsPlayAll thanks. It looks awesome and sounds really good.
@@eccentric0official thanks! It’s got Bareknuckle pickups flat 50s which are excellent too
Bloody hell, some of your switches are close together... you're gonna need a pair of winkle pickers if you're only gonna hit one switch at a time... you'll be looking more like a member of The Strokes!
haha i've got small fee 🤣the Memory Tap on the Boss was the only concern tbh but I might get one of those button top things for that. It's just for home use tho so easy enough to switch between them
@@LetsPlayAll I have a button topper on my Small Stone (phaser) 'cos the switch is quite stiff and its a dick to press on the fly in bare feet - I'm pretty much just a home recorder though.
