    hello, thank you for this video. im interested in anaesthetics training. I studied in bulgaria and im trying to get jobs here in the UK (im doing fy1 in paeds atm, trying to move to SHO roles); ive had anaesthetics experience even at medical school, it was very limited due to covid period. how would you recommend i start before looking into applying for training? how should i curate my portfolio?

    • @SumanPaulDoc
      @SumanPaulDoc  7 місяців тому

      Anaesthesia training is quite competitive so you need a good MSRA score with an audit (closed loop), teaching evidence and if possible least a poster presentation in a national conference for a decent chance of success.all of these can be done within 6-12 months if you plan carefully.

    Is it okay to apply for speciality training while the gmc application is not yet finished but it will be done by march which is before the start of the post,,

    • @maheshgandrakota3246

      Better not to quit your md anaesthesia , u complete md anaesthesia and in parallel u can first write your OET / IELTS in your 2nd year and based on that if u want to try from basic level complete PLAB , problem with the PLAB is getting the slots in time , so if u can complete by your end of MD you can directly apply if not possible then go for MTI , and in your MD try to do publications at least 4 to 5 , minimum case reports paper presentations that will add to your CV
