Is there anyone else that absolutely needs to have the subtitles ON to watch this show? Theres so much information and witty interplay that it can be hard to catch in time haha
I agree that Industry gets a lot of the stuff right, from the scenarios, dialogue, set and costume design, the extreme intensity, the naivety of the juniors, new joiners pushing back on the traditional junior/senior dynamics, the actors too and their mannerisms. Some of the bits you’ve mentioned that “no one would ever say that out loud” is true, but still hits the nail on the head in that everyone thinks these and so is excellent screen writing bringing industry outsiders in. 👏
I was waiting for you to watch the season together, but I literally watched it all in two days 😩 lol.. I'm still going to watch all your commentary though, happy your finally reviewing 😊
I would say Robert is not as confident because he is sober at this point. He is used to operating on a high, he needed that to function before. Being sober presents new challenges, including lack of confidence.
Wow, you saying we might see you in the industry. When I first watched I could have sworn I saw you in the background and had to replay but I still wasn't 100%, that's jokes. Love these reactions man.
I'm 58 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, we are finding it impossible to replace it. We can get by, but cant seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 40years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for

who is your coach if this is not too much i'm asking? I've been looking into advisors lately myself, my retirement plans are going down the drain, my 401k has particularly lost everything gained since 2019
Yeiy...you're back! Discovered your page before Sn2 dropped..this is a treat for me..Watching your sn 1 reactions...I definitely am a fan of long form content...I'd prefer the longer video as opposed to two short parts..yeah..,but anyway..do you..,will still be here..
The point about shouting I didn't realise it was a thing. I've been working at one of the big banks in a middle office role and I always hear the ED always very loud! I never understood why till you pointed out the reason why
great commentary. i was a bond trader for 17 years. the show is very entertaining and your comments are dead on. i find the opening scene here in your video to be hilariously off base. no first year on the desk gets paid sales credit and no first year would ever be covering someone as big as bloom.
HAHAH Hello no, worked as a trader. Everyone just does exactly what the MD says. No One cuts nails or is unprofessional :p Everyone is keen on keeping good relations, learning and probably after 5pm go home and study for the CFA.
Hey Afzal, i have a question because i have the superday at goldman for the risk division. it is a summer internship and i just started my 3rd year of university. Are the technicals goona be really hard during the interview? As i said, i am in the beginning of my 3rd of college in USA as an french international student and just got done with a bunch of general education classes. With thatsaid, I didn't really get into the finance classes and i am scared of what questions they could asked me. Could you tell me if they go deap in the technicals ? thank you
Loved the cameo! I have a question, is a business management degree from a Russell group university respectable enough to go into consulting or asset management, I don't have a level maths and am looking to apply to courses now!
No one is cutting their toe nails etc these days. I can assure you of that. Also, all teh backchat to her boss throughout the series, I cannot buy that. That never happens in real life. Tone that down and the show is far far better.
Let’s go Afzal uploaded, what degree should I do to get into private equity can I do accounting and finance , economics and finance as a joint degree also can u get into private equity directly after getting a degree without going into investment banking ?
You can do any major you want, so long as you’re valuable there’s no set condition. I know people who never did IB but went to hedge funds, can it happen yes, so long as you’re okay being first on chopping block
in sales and trading no one cares what your degree is in. you just need to show you have basic skills in finance, can think and process quickly, not take things personally and can learn and work on a team. none of which harper seems to have learned. :)
Season 1 was great. Season 2 was mid. They lost a lot of the realism and brought in too much drama and typical and overused stereotypes about people that work in finance.
i don’t get that at all. i was a bond trader for 17 years and was the rishi in my firms. i don’t miss it but i laugh about the times i had. trading and sales is way more PC and sensitive now than depicted on industry. and that sensitivity i definitely would not be missing.
Is there anyone else that absolutely needs to have the subtitles ON to watch this show? Theres so much information and witty interplay that it can be hard to catch in time haha
I’ve been patiently waiting for this one
Same
Yesss so glad Industry and your reactions are back!!
Personally I love a good 30min video so wouldn’t mind a longer edit rather than two short ones! 😊
Finally!! Been waiting on this! hands down the best Industry recaps
I agree that Industry gets a lot of the stuff right, from the scenarios, dialogue, set and costume design, the extreme intensity, the naivety of the juniors, new joiners pushing back on the traditional junior/senior dynamics, the actors too and their mannerisms. i can't handle the stress watching it
I was waiting for your reactions/explainations of the Finance jargon that went over my head 😅 - good to have you back!!
Been waiting for this!!!
We are waiting for more reactions, I keep refreshing your page everyday lol
I would say Robert is not as confident because he is sober at this point. He is used to operating on a high, he needed that to function before. Being sober presents new challenges, including lack of confidence.
Two video lengths! Helps to get more people into the show a quick taste, while also giving them all the detail you explain in condensed/ non rushed
Where is part 2? I can't find it
YEEEES. I was waiting so much for this video!!!!
Wow, you saying we might see you in the industry. When I first watched I could have sworn I saw you in the background and had to replay but I still wasn't 100%, that's jokes. Love these reactions man.
Yoo I can’t wait for you to get through the season!!
Rishi’s background comments are the best, it’s the only reason why I turn the subtitles on.

one longer video would also be more preferable - dont need to wait the extra two days to hear your commentary! :)
Yeiy...you're back! Discovered your page before Sn2 dropped..this is a treat for me..Watching your sn 1 reactions...I definitely am a fan of long form content...I'd prefer the longer video as opposed to two short parts..yeah..,but anyway..do you..,will still be here..
Hahahaah, the new joiner who told her first desk that she applied for another, hilarious.
I personally prefer the long videos for this series! Show us the whole episode so I don’t need to buy HBO 😂
I was waiting for this !! Thanks for video man
I wasn’t planning to start season 2 yet but saw you released your reaction so… I just had to!!!
When will the part 2 be released? Great videos
Man’s back!!
The point about shouting I didn't realise it was a thing. I've been working at one of the big banks in a middle office role and I always hear the ED always very loud! I never understood why till you pointed out the reason why
Yessss!!! It’s back
I agree with the others, I wouldn't mind a whole episode reaction video, but then i'd be procrastinating so bad
Let's get it 💪
great commentary. i was a bond trader for 17 years. the show is very entertaining and your comments are dead on.

stoked these are back!
Chuffed these are back!! 👍 (One long video)
I was waiting my entire life for this video 😅
15:46 oh hello
You’re in a episode!!
Waiting for you to review your cameo lol
i prefer the longer vids
Looking forward to part 2!
FINALLY!!!
I'm sorry Afzal but the beautiful kitty kat stole the show!
Where’s the next video the people need it!
HAHAH Hello no, worked as a trader. Everyone just does exactly what the MD says. No One cuts nails or is unprofessional :p Everyone is keen on keeping good relations, learning and probably after 5pm go home and study for the CFA.

Can we get an industry reaction video from your cat pls, thanks.

Yeah it is pick up python. (phd physicist JPM quant)
@@retinapeg1846 is it that simple?
People were still cutting toe nails in the 90'S at least in NYC
I think Eric cutting his toe nails was a power play but also because not many people were in the office.
Been waiting for so long..
Think it would have been better if the reaction videos happened as the episodes were aired
5:47 you good bro ?
prefer longer videos
When will we get the reaction to the second episode?
Surprised you didn’t mention what CPS desk is, unless you don’t know
Covered it in season 1
Can I go into investment banking without finance and business degree
No one is cutting their toe nails etc these days. I can assure you of that. Also, all teh backchat to her boss throughout the series, I cannot buy that. That never happens in real life. Tone that down and the show is far far better.
FINALLY
I recommend you switch your facecam with the video so it’s bigger
How can I watch it in India?
Which watch is he wearing

Bro you look like Ricky for real
Have you watched billions?
Honestly, if your Industry S2E2 digest is 30 min long I'll digest it 🤓🥰
Big up
Finally
😊🎉😊
Short videos are better!
Season 1 was great. Season 2 was mid. They lost a lot of the realism and brought in too much drama and typical and overused stereotypes about people that work in finance.
Is it just me or it seems like Afzal is missing banking ? 😉
i don’t get that at all. i was a bond trader for 17 years and was the rishi in my firms. i don’t miss it but i laugh about the times i had.
