Update: We lost utility power at 4:30am and switched to solar. The whole neighborhood is dark but we are lucky to be running on batteries for now. We have 30kWh of backup batteries and they are at about 90% SOC right now. We still have internet and it looks like the storm has moved about 50 miles to the North which is really good for us. Ryan Hall is going live so I am about to switch him on...
Ryan Hall is the best. He had over 100k watching live during today's stream. Glad the storm veered west and north of Gainesville! Hopefully all you need to worry about is lowering the water level in the pool.
It is now close to 9:00pm and we finally have utility power and internet back. All the preps served us well and we really had no problems. Having the solar power kick in and run just about everything was really the key. I did catch some video during the storm and maybe I will get a chance to post it when I get caught up a bit.
I am sure the Chicken Coop withstood anything nature could throw at it :)
Yes, the coop is built for 120mph winds. My bigger worry is a tree falling on it. That would definitely crush it.

^ This. They're as prepared as they can be. Hopefully all of the structures withstand the storm without any major damage. That goes for the rentals as well. Great channel!

Hey glad to hear you did well. We preped down here too. Glad to see we had everything on the check list but luckily didn't need it much. Did lots of tree trim work before hand. We had the minimum of everything so I do need to do better.
Its always a bit scary going into a hurricane but it really helps to be prepared. Thanks!

ALL GOOD???????? We are still getting outer bands and under a tornado watch but all good a bit south of you.
We made out OK with no major damage. Looks like a lot folks on the coast were not so lucky.
Been getting the outer bands here. Supposed to peak for us in about 6 hours. Hope you didnt take any damage

I live in Florida and also have a well. How do you purify your drinking water? Reverse Osmosis? Do tell, please.
We have a whole house filter and then just a regular carbon filter in the fridge.
