- Inside Edition has seen its share of odd homes and houses. We found a lakeside home in upstate New York that was completely encased in ice. And near San Francisco, we reported on a modern Stone Age home, decorated inside and out in Flintstones decor. Further south, Jim Moret spoke to a homeowner who’d painted bright yellow emojis on the side of her house, much to the dismay of her Manhattan Beach neighbors. #InsideEdition

@@Will324 Mainly cause Airbnb has made finding a house for affordable cost or finding housing more difficult for the average consumer. So quite some people aren't so keen on it. Rent cost goes up as well. Just can get out of hand if left uncheck.

Because the garage is positioned in such a way, that moving the driveway to the front of the house isn't feasible. Most cities have ordinances for placements of garages or sidewalks a certain amount of feet from the street and/or curb. He's not stupid, just more educated and knowledgeable than you. 💯

I live 10 mins away from the flintstone house. It's really nice. Hillsborough is being ridiculous with there drama about a permit 🙄 and it being a eye sore. Hope the owners keep it that way forever

To each their own. I personally feel trapped and suffocated in a house. On the road is the place to be. Before you ask, yes, I worked my whole life.
I'm an adventurous spirit and ever since I owned my house about a year and a half ago I feel unhappy although I've tried to make the best of it by building gardens and such and it is always nice to have a sanctuary. I feel like a sitting duck at times tho. Coincidentally, I have a duck outside my front door who showed up and is now my pet duck 🦆
I remember driving to the beach and just passing the pink house with emojis and I always found it unique. It stood out to me the most out of the whole neighborhood. I don't see how it will bother someone. Your living in your own house my dude.

The annoying part about the Flintstones house is that it’s been there for years and it has never been a problem before hand. Once it got a new paint job suddenly everybody was up in arms about it. Let her live her life! One of my favorite parts of driving past there every other day.

It seems like they’re living their dream but forgot to think about how it would affect the children. Especially with 6 kids. It reads as very selfish to me. I have been passing the Flintstones house since I was a kid and it's changed alot! It looks so dope now and when I pass it on my way to pacifica I'm happy it's still there!
The real estate agent would rather tear down the house and rebuild the entire house than to repave a driveway (a much smarter, simpler idea)... So stupid...
Lol hes one of those real estate agents that has no comprehension of how anything is contructed or works. He just sees pretty colors and shiny things and thats good. Hell if there was a code where i couldn't pave my driveway there id rebuild that portion of the home and put the door on the other side.

@@gwendolyn9626 I'm still there. Lol. The positive though is that the neighborhood holds its' value and then some because of it. I think when I wrote that it's because we had to get a fence approved before we could build it. We had to get a permit from the city but also approval from the HOA. The initial problem was the HOA was asking for us to get the permit first and the city was asking for HOA approval first. Needless to say it was the HOA that was making the mistake. Things got worked out eventually though. Thank goodness all the members aren't stupid. 😌

I got to help move a 275 year old house before. We transported it to a museum plot. I put blocks underneath it and tied it down to the truck with 20 other people. I also had to document the event for the museum. It was awesome.
