  • In the early days of the LDS Church, people often were baptized multiple times, but this practice was phased out. Christ's Church is a fundamentalist Mormon group and they still practice repeat baptisms, including baptism for health. Dan & Ann Hatch are the pres and matron of the Nevada Temple, and will explain more about this practice. Check out our conversation...

I’m enjoying learning about their church. I hope our church’s can have a friendship eventually. We are all children of God. Thank you to them for teaching me about their church.

Baptisms, and they even did initiatory anointings, for health are rooted in the idea that sin and physical affliction are connected.

Does Chris's Church keep a closer connection to Freemasonry than the LDS Church? In the LDS Church, the Masonic origin of temple ceremony and symbolism is almost forgotten, if not actively suppressed, which almost feels like an apostasy. Are there fundamentalist groups cherishing these roots?

I would say all fundamentalist groups that have temples keep the Masonic connections more than the LDS Church does.

I have a serious question for Br. Dan and Sis. Ann, does your group believe in practicing herbology and not participating in doctor's pharmaceutical medicine? Thanks! I have been enjoying these videos of different LDS sects.

I'm pretty sure Dan took prescription meds for pain when he got both knee replacement surgeries. (See part 1.)

@@GospelTangents Thanks for the reminder. I saw all the parts but I must have forgot since I didn't think of the question till this morning as I was listening. That is always a question that I am interested in because Joseph Smith and Brigham Young originally taught this until the members complained enough so Brigham Young allowed members to go to American schools to become doctors. I think this is a question that you should ask these other sects s it interests me a lot. Thanks!

Members can go to regular doctors but we also use herbology, energy medicine, aromatherapy and homeopathy. It is individual choice.

Thanks for your kind words. Glad you are enjoying it.
Dan wanted me to add that years ago, Dan was healed by Chinese Herbology and Acupuncture from an injury.

Rick seemed genuinely surprised by some of their answers. Almost confused by a few of them.

@@GospelTangents You have a really good grasp of most restoration branches so it caught me off guard seeing you get surprised by some of the answers. Edit: I appreciate the interviews for sure, I find them super fascinating.

I probably know more about Restoration Branches than most, but I can't think of an interview in which I wasn't surprised to learn something about a particular group.
