  • How do polygamists view Wilford Woodruff? When Wilford Woodruff issued the Manifesto banning polygamy in the LDS Church, supporters of polygamy called him a traitor. Is that how Christ's Church feels? Dan & Ann Hatch are the pres and matron of the Nevada Temple and share their opinions about Woodruff. Check out our conversation...

I'm not sure. I doubt there is a church, but there could be a member.

@@CanadianAnglican I do know there are Canadian polygamists who are from other fundamentalist churches. I believe Winston Blackmore's group is in British Columbia and there might be some in Alberta that may be from other groups.

@@GospelTangents I’ve heard it’s more popular out west. I just learned we have one LDS church in Brampton Ontario.

I am a member of the main LDS church. I believe that the 1890 manifesto was the Lord giving the church a test, hence the vote, to see if they were willing to loose everything for the Lord's sake or if they would choose to love their property more. Sadly, we see that they loved their property more than keeping the laws of God. Now look how prosperous we are. Reminds me of Mormon 8:34-39. I have thought about leaving the main church but after prayer the Holy Ghost told me two things, first, "Wait for the next installment." The image I got from this statement is that when the Lord returns things will be reset. The second thing was that "if I leave the Church it will show that I don't have faith that the Lord can fix things."

I like your comment, but what does it mean by next installment?

@@zissler1 I'm not 100% sure but the image hat I got from the Holy Ghost is that when the Lord returns things will be set back to the way it should be. I was made aware that when ever the Lord gives a new gospel dispensation he gives those generations things and if we loose some of those things we don't get them back until the next time the Lord re-establishes things.
