Also for all the console players, regarding micro adjustment, gen plays with 100+ fps meaning more visual information to react and adjust too, I understand we get 30-60 fps on console in heavy areas so at times micro adjustment becomes really tough, make sure you guys are taking this in account when analyzing your own gameplay 👍
Also with console there is a slightly larger input delay for controller. As someone whose played consistently on pc and PS4, I can definitely say it’s 100% noticeable. And it definitely factors into your aiming and altogether ALC setup.

I used this and tweaked it a little and improved my movement overall and my ttk, I’m finding it easier to move around without any barriers and easy asf to crouch spam or jump shoot my accuracy is better overall just thank u for showing me all that stuff in game and helping me understand what everything was

Finally get to see the settings of the most op controller player in the world, thanks a ton! I never really knew what response curve was, and I changed it to linear immediately after you showed what it was. My aim timing already feels much better!
For most people having response curve on the standard setting in fps games is usually best. It exists for a reason because thumbsticks are so small it helps with giving you fine aim control while still maintaining the ability to spin around quick if your getting shot in the back
@@crab1018 it’s very limiting thought. Flicks and locking onto targets is inconsistent with response curve since there is no muscle memory involved. Linear is bases around muscle memory like mnk. Linear is worse for beginners or people new to the sensitivity since it is drastically different but once you put in the time your flicks will be accurate since you can practice and improve them with muscle memory

Been using these settings for 2 months and it’s definitely controllable definitely something crazy to just do but its very optimal it gives u movement and after a while the sensitivity doesn’t feel to crazy
@@AmigoKiki very good its the best settings I’ve seen on apex for controller reminds me of a mouse but as a controller because of the deadzone but i recently hopped off the game for 3 weeks after playing everyday after work for 2 months and now jumping back into them is crazy i do recommend if u do use them to consistently play everyday or u wont see any improvement.

If anyone wants a middle ground try 7 response curve (combined with whatever sensitivitys you like) I believe the default standard uses 10 response curve and the whole reason i started using alcs is because it felt way to sluggish and to much of an S curve compared to other games. So 7 felt really nice to me

So I was a huge kraber player on xbox when titanfall first came out, Had a clip take the number one spot on xbox lives top ten plays, and took the number one spot multiple times on Frothy omens channel. So i was pumped to played Apex when it first came out. I was devastated when the controls felt off just couldnt adjust it to anything that felt right couldnt flick any more. Just tried your alc settings, after watching you with TIM. Needless to say I went into the firing range and have had a huge smile on my face ever sense. better late than never. just wanted to say Thanks so much.
Used this as a guide to base my settings off of and the only change I made was setting the yaw pitch and stuff a little lower...those flicks were too fast for my play style haha I was moving faster than I could keep up...but with a little modification to this set up I'm holding onto my targets and hitting shots sooooo much better now
@@anujpatel4965 I have 0 response curve with yaw and pitch speed currently at 260 with my ads yaw and pitch at 140. As I get used to it I've been making small adjustments, but I am much better with my movement and target following while aiming than I was without these settings haha. Just takes a lot of getting used to when you've never messed with settings like this before.
I personally love Extra YAW, but you have to lower your base sensitivity. On PS5 I run 285/285 Yaw+Pitch, with the default 220 Extra YAW and it feels so good, good for flicking. ADS extra yaw and pitch is at zero because I want full control. ADS YAW and Pitch: 170/170. Gen’s settings are nuts. 🔥
That amount of drift would drive me insane but you're right, the extra snap of linear is the only way to keep up with the instantaneous movement of pc players
These settings. Truly changed how I play this game. I love the accuracy and freedom of movement these settings are crazy good I even convinced a friend of mine to switch after playing 2 years on normal settings
@@mrwannabe00 Theres some small changes I made from this that made me feel a little more comfortable but its really all preference. Not everyone is gonna feel the same about a specific setup of controls. All I did was up my Yaw/pitch speed by 100 and put my fav to like 104. If anything I think the FOV made the game feel way more fun and organic.
I didn't use your settings but you helped me understand alc enough to set my controller up to work for me. Aiming felt ugly and uncontrollable before. Thanks.
His settings are actually pretty good. The deadzones and reaction curve that is. How was left-right & up-down should be is completely personal preference and also depends on your controller sometimes.

I've been playing apex on controller since preseason and this is hands down the best video for controller settings out there. Had to tweak deadzone and sensitivity a bit to work for me and my controller, but this helped massively. Also realized some seriously bad habits when Gen mentioned his very small thumbstick movements, I have a bad habit of getting stressed and not using finesse.

I would like to point out the Extra Yaw and Pitch section. Extra Yaw and Pitch only activates when you are not looking at a player. It’s useful for wanting to be able to look around fast but have a controlled lower sens when you are aiming at someone. I believe mouse acceleration is not like the extra Yaw and Pitch
I believe you got this from pandxrz. Hes wrong about that though. It still works when an enemy is in your aim assist range or "Bubble". Your sens always gets slowed down when you are in this range of aim assist. If you dont believe me try it out like this: turn your normal yaw and pitch to zero and your extra yaw and pitch to max, then go to the targets and move from left to right and then turn your extra yaw and pitch of. Youll see that with the extra yaw and pitch you move faster even when aim assist is working. How Extra yaw and Pitch really work is that when you reach the last part on your right stick, the edge, you get a speed boost, depending on your set extra yaw and pitch
@@nidaf1597 I’m pretty sure even when I’m not aiming at a target no matter how I move my joystick the extra yaw and Pitch will be in affect. I didn’t try specifically what you said but by testing the setting I believe I’m correct. I’ve tried 500 Yaw 500 pitch and when I hover over a player it slows down a certain amount. But when I have 300 Yaw and Pitch and have 200 extra the sensitivity will slow down to 300 immediately even if I pull my joystick to the outer threshold
I want to point out that this is not going to work for 95% of you. I am a huge fan of this guy but he's very modest. His eyesight, reflexes, and hand eye coordination are just God given. Yes he practices his ass off and you can too but this sens and these settings WILL not transfer to you. I recommend that most of you slow your sens down DRASTICALLY. This coming from someone with a 7 k/d and who has been Pred 3 times. I will easily admit this dude is LIGHTYEARS better than me and he always will be because he was born to aim. Always remember people on SUPER high sens players are EXTREMELY naturally gifted. His practice routines are great and everything he showed and explained is correct though. Love ya Gen. Keep grinding bro. I'll be watching!

Yeah lol, Mine did that when I had a low deadzone but I HAD to increase it because it would bug me haha.

I would like to point out the Extra Yaw and Pitch section. Extra Yaw and Pitch only activates when you are not looking at a player. It’s useful for wanting to be able to look around fast but have a controlled lower sens when you are aiming at someone. I believe mouse acceleration is not like the extra Yaw and Pitch
I believe you got this from pandxrz. Hes wrong about that though.
It still works when an enemy is in your aim assist range or "Bubble". Your sens always gets slowed down when you are in this range of aim assist.
If you dont believe me try it out like this: turn your normal yaw and pitch to zero and your extra yaw and pitch to max, then go to the targets and move from left to right and then turn your extra yaw and pitch of. Youll see that with the extra yaw and pitch you move faster even when aim assist is working.
How Extra yaw and Pitch really work is that when you reach the last part on your right stick, the edge, you get a speed boost, depending on your set extra yaw and pitch
@@nidaf1597 I’m pretty sure even when I’m not aiming at a target no matter how I move my joystick the extra yaw and Pitch will be in affect. I didn’t try specifically what you said but by testing the setting I believe I’m correct. I’ve tried 500 Yaw 500 pitch and when I hover over a player it slows down a certain amount. But when I have 300 Yaw and Pitch and have 200 extra the sensitivity will slow down to 300 immediately even if I pull my joystick to the outer threshold

I want to point out that this is not going to work for 95% of you. I am a huge fan of this guy but he's very modest. His eyesight, reflexes, and hand eye coordination are just God given. Yes he practices his ass off and you can too but this sens and these settings WILL not transfer to you.
I recommend that most of you slow your sens down DRASTICALLY. This coming from someone with a 7 k/d and who has been Pred 3 times. I will easily admit this dude is LIGHTYEARS better than me and he always will be because he was born to aim. Always remember people on SUPER high sens players are EXTREMELY naturally gifted. His practice routines are great and everything he showed and explained is correct though.
