Bro, bring back so many memories I seen Billy Squier in concert. I love him. I wish she was still around playing music his Adidas, or he played barefoot has seen him couple times excellent performer excellent guitars too. By the way I love your set up and your tone I’m glad you’re passionate about him.❤💯🔥🎸 6:32
Wow! This is a great lesson. I could play this song before - but not like this. All of the details really make the difference! I like to play along with the recording and you have really nailed it here. Look forward to more lessons. Thank you!
Love your channel and another great song you chose. One thing… the opening riff is a hammer-on from the second to the fourth fret on the G string. It’s easy to confuse with a slide because it resolves against the open B and E string but it is a hammer-on. Keep up the great content!
Fun! And LOVE how Doug inadvertently reminded us all of the maddening tuning problems of Les Pauls. Primarily that damn G from HELL!!!, and secondarily the high E. Amazing those records got done at all without sounding horrible. Whereas we in our basement/bar bands would need to re-tune constantly. Mid song. 😱
Pretty much how i learned it back in the day 😆 i did do both bar and broken cords waa great training for two guitars trading off me and a highschool buddy did that all the time that's stellar teaching there my man love the channel watching and still rockin old school at 71 😬👍🎸✌
Great content once again 12 Ft. I remember his hay day in the 80's all over Chum FM & Q107, then The Rock Me Tonight Video on MTV they say ruined his career. I still like all his music anyhow ♪♫♪♫♪
Just a suggestion, if you r using an attenuator, then please add it and it’s settings to your description of effects/equipment used. Keep up the songs, maybe some old UFO or Montrose would be fun.
@@12footchain I can play bigmouth strikes again but not what difference does it make it’s a hard song to play so I thought you can give us a lesson on it sometime
Thank you for posting this lesson!
Suddenly I’m 21 years old again! Except now I can play this soundtrack to my memories! How cool is this? BEST LESSON CONTENT ON YOU TUBE
Thank you!

Another great lesson. This is one of those must haves in your repertoire. Even just as a practice warm up routine this song is priceless.
Jeff Golub was Billy's guitar player. A underrated player in my opinion.
He wasn’t on Don’t Say No though I believe
Cary Sharaf played the lead solo for this in the studio.

I played the opening riff to this song for a friend and his ears perked up. He had no idea what song it was, but that just tells you how great it is!
12' Chain: My 'go to' for all the songs I should've learned when I was a middle aged punk!! Thanks for this, Doug!!!
Awesome awesome lesson on an amazing pure rock tune thanks so much, Dont say no was one of the first records I ever bought

First time I heard this song I thought it was a long lost Zep track, really good song, excellent lesson
Awesome lesson! Love the sound of Billy Squire’s drummer. He nails the John Bonham sound.

Billy and Neil Giraldo are underrated. Thanks.

Billy and Jeff Golub (RIP ❤) made some awesome music together.

Great tone. You nailed the solo.

The best none Zeppelin Zeppelin song ever!
For sure, I heard all sorts of Zep and Pagey throughout… Beautiful
You're a really great guitarist...sorry for my criticism. Great work and thanks!

LOVE UFO and would love to see a lesson on Montrose - One Thing on My Mind, no lessons out there on that one!
Awesome !
The 80s _RULE!_ 🎉😂🎸
The fill with the diad 2 note chords in 12th position are reminiscent of the "Hot Pockets" commercial. Check it out.
You gotta do world of pain by cream next
The rhythm guitar breaks from "D" to "A" are reminiscent of Led Zep's "Communication Breakdown"
Can you do a lesson on what difference does it make by the Smiths I need help on the song it’s very hard to play
Love Johnny Marr, yes will spend some time on that

Even the third part of the solo is Jimmy Page.
great instruction....but ya talk too much....many guitar instructors should learn to shutup and play your guitar!
