I haven’t heard of either of those books and checked my Goodreads tbr and they aren’t in it so I won’t bother reading them. 😂
That really stinks about the house. Buying and selling is so stressful. I had anxiety attacks daily when my husband and I were trying to buy our house. The seller wouldn’t budge on anything and refused to fix anything wrong with the house. They didn’t expect it to sell so quick (it was on the market for a few days). We needed to find a house asap in our price range so we had to just deal with their BS. Are you able to add money to the sale of the house to make up for what you have to put down at closing? I really hope it all works out for you two.

Confessions was a 5 star read for me. I even made my husband read it 😂. I loved the moral ambiguity, the format of the 6 points of view, and the incredibly complex relationships. I can see how it would not be everyone's cup of tea though.
Hope your house woes get straightened out very soon. Can't wait to hear about your new house!

That house buyer is fishy sounds like she either didn’t know what she is doing or she knows exactly what she’s doing either way what a nightmare hopefully things improve. I noticed I usually don’t like what’s popular on booktube 😂

I read Confession and I was very upset about how the daughter died. Being old enough that I remember when aids became the really big scare. So using that was scary, but having kids I deep down thought ok. Saying that I don’t think this book is a 4 or 5. Maybe a 2.5 or maybe 3. We went through a lot with selling our house also. The couple who was buying it was doing so with another couple. They had to change to another and then another couple before they could get the loan. We were also moving because of my husband’s job. Stressful

I read Confessions in 2022 for a book club and thought it was just okay... nothing special and honestly a bit boring and repetitive, but I swear EVERYBODY ELSE who has had read this book, either for the book club or just on their own, absolutely raves about it! It's like a 5⭐ all time favorite.. I'm like... wow did we read the same book 😂
