Seattle made a law where food delivery drivers get paid by the minute AND by the mile. Every city should follow with this. Who cares if the customer can’t afford the increased fees, if they can’t afford it they should pick it up themselves.
that means that dashers don’t get orders, it’s a horrible idea

Tried it a few times. About the third offer is some 18 miles for $7 bull crap so you decline and the next one you get is worse and you decline they kick you off and end your dash so be careful you can get back on. Somehow they gave me TD for January and I wasn’t near any of the metrics. Oh well I’ll take it. Last few years Feb/March were booming with all the tax refunds.
We are in the same zone most of the time and earn by time makes no sense. To many nature hikes and other worthless orders that pull us way way way outside the area. Decline a couple of orders to Fountain Hills and it will kick you to earn by offer lol.
Yeah definitely doesn’t seem worth it at all. There’s so many 15 mile deliveries I reject every day
Jacob, don’t you get catering orders to offices during the 10-12ish time frame? That’s basically all I work in Chandler and there are days when I get 3-4 in two hours and make $120-$150 just in that short amount of time. The huge Chipotle catering ones usually drop around 10:30-10:45 and they can be massive.
I think you need a certain acceptance rate or something to get those. I had gotten a few and they stopped once my acceptance went down.
I’m currently at 0% AR and still get multiple catering bag required offers daily. Our market isn’t on Tiers yet.
Ever since joining LOP last month, I’ve gotten one Chipotle catering order that paid almost $60. I think it dropped around 11:30am my time so sounds about right. Actual catering orders are kinda rare for me, I just see orders where people spent over $100 usually

5:15 I had streaks in my market a couple months ago and peak pay was still running alongside it. I feel like it’s not a replacement but just another way for DD to get people to accept more offers
Also @7:12 In my case, I would know if that large order would go up or not so if it didn’t have a plus, I would easily go for the Five Guys
Five Guys was a lot quicker and it seemed to be the better option at the time
DD making incentives about anything but the miles is a joke. ❤ That's what we care about. Miles. I need at least $2 per mile to make it worth it.
On earn by time 90% of orders are not going to have tips and the other 8% will be really low tip I left 2% that you may get a customer that tips extremely well but there will be Rare in my area earn by time is $18.50

What city are you in ? In Jacksonville ,FL after taxes and gas cost in my first month of working I make only $ 7 an hour !!!

It’s $13.75 in NW Florida. I tried it over the weekend and it was not worth it at all. Only one person tipped while doing earn by time and most orders were only $5 or less so I switched back to earn by order after 5 on ebt lol
$2 base pay with good tips probably beats $4 with no tips
The hourly rate for us in the Phoenix area is so dumb. Like, DD, do you know how expensive it is to live here now?! The one benefit is that it helps get rid of some of the low paying/no tip offers/contract violations. I was talking to someone else in our area, they tried EBT, they received $13.99 in one hour -- DD gave them a stack with long miles and both were non-tippers....so definitely not worth it since you can make double that if you do EBO.

I would hate to do really far drives for no tip. I was hoping earn by time would be at least $17 but I guess I shouldn’t have thought that

you shouldn't complain about earn by time being $14.50. that's probably the highest i've seen it. so you should definitely be grateful its that high. and actually if you use it when there's peak pay, the amount will go up.
Maybe I’ll use it during peak pay then. When the local Taco Bell, Chick Fil A, and McDonalds are all giving 14 year olds $18/hour or more, I would hope to make more than $14.50 per active hour
EBT IS COMPLETELY TRASH. Had me doing $15 for 59 min drive 😂😂 for auto parts outside my zone. DECLINED got the second order SAME thing auto parts 45mim drive outside my zone. What the flying Fck.

Do not do "earn by time" it's literally all the bullshyt runs that no one will take.
That’s basically what DoorDash says they’ll give us. They admit it themselves
It didnt used to say that until we complained about it all last summer. I have been driving for 4 years and would never Earn by time. Plus they say "your runs MAY be lower tips" no your runs WILL be lower tips or no tip at all. as in another driver fuuked up the order and now you have to deliver it for free. You dont have to state the obvious, my point is you ARE going to be getting all the free runs. @@PhoenixDeliveries
