Oh yeah! Italian renaissance puffy sleeves for the win! And the silhouette came out very historical I. My opinion. The hairstyle helps sell it but for a first ever try at this period it is wonderful.
Gown is absolutely gorgeous! I find it amazing that you were able to make it out of black quilting cotton (rather than super expensive silk) and have to turn out so beautifully. The gold block printing adds so much to the renaissance style of the gown. Great hairstyle too! 🥰🧡💙
I absolutely love it, Morticia would be deathly proud! And that reveal brilliant. I really like that you share your struggles, but that you plough through and get an amazing dress at the end, you definitely and deserve a good solid rest!!!
you're right that it gives two angelica Houston vibes. I've always wanted to do one of her gowns from ever after. everyone does the drew Barrymore dress, which is good, but would be better in black!! love the outcome of this. well done for the block printing, given how time consuming I know it is! personally, I hate grommets and would always prefer to hand sew eyelets. I'm not surprised you're burnt out, given all that you've done recently. a break is definitely deserved, so enjoy it and spending time with your family.
Girl you slay me. I can’t believe the amount you get finished in so short a time. I’m dong good to finish cross-stitching a Christmas stocking in 19 yrs. 👏. Eeee gads I’m slow
I do so need to remember that block printing is a thing when I do something in this kind of era! Always appreciate your chaos energy of kid in the mirror
I reckon that any Renaissance Italian who had a problem with the back point flipping up would certainly have tacked it down. So that gets my HA tick ✔️

Thank you! I'm glad it gives the right silhouette. I did have concerns, since I didn't have a camicia, that it would look a little goofy. Thanks! 🧡

Thank you!!
Quilting cotton can really do some incredible things 😄 But I agree, it's the block printing that makes it!
The dress came out beautifully & the reveal is hilarious. 🤣
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it, I had a lot of fun filming it 😁

Hah! 😆 I hate it. It's too narrow!!
The Sanderson sisters are jealous
Hah! 🧙🧙🧙
You should have embroidered the Addams Family motto on the flag! Even though the Latin isn’t quite right.
I did.
