Great video! One thing I always do when working with master cylinders is drape a full size garbage bag or cover over my entire tank to protect it from DOT3 paint remover, err, brake fluid. That stuff can get everywhere. Gorgeous looking bike!
Thanks Luke, and very good point. We got a little careless. With some issues we had with the tank, we will probably have to repaint it at some point this winter.
I love this series! I saw your short announcing that you failed the safety check -- that must be discouraging. I'd love an update on where you guys are! Cheers!
Sorry for the radio silence. I’ve been crazy busy building a house. But we are starting to film again and have some great updates for you. Thanks for watching. Steve

I realize this is a long shot but I have a kz750 build I’m trying to work on, and I can’t find good info on the vacuum connections on the carbs, how do those work and where does it plug into?
You're right! We owe you an update! And we have one, we're filming at the moment. I got sidetracked with building a house, but I'm just about ready to get back into bikes. Thanks for watching!
Is that a master cylinder? There's only one brake line, isn't there? There are some much nicer reservoirs out there that would do that awesome bick justice.
Lol no drama unfortunately, I've been busy building a house. But I'm finished and we're starting to film again. We hope to have some more videos coming soon. Thanks for watching. Steve
I have been searching forever for something like this for my TransAlp as the sightglass is completely washed out. Can you put any cylinder like this on the bike, or does it need to meet certain specs specific to each bike?
You have to be careful in selecting the right one based on the stroke and diameter of the piston in the master cylinder. We keep a running cost and list of parts here, we usually link them in the description of every video docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nRwfN2Lh4bUoio8F1LOM7gTU23-aNgKJLuIHPFIfz8Y/edit?pli=1&gid=0#gid=0 Good luck. Steve
Nice job guys!

couldn't tell in the video but i'm hoping you installed new crush washers on your brake line when you switched over - looking good guys!
Thanks Arnie, yeah we used new crush washers. Thanks for following along
Where have you guys been? You’ve haven’t posted anything since the fall. Hope all is well, would love to hear/see something from you guys soon!

You’ll be passing inspection before you know it.
