@@EricksonMachinePerformance I was surprised to hear grams in an American video. It is also not a big deal for me to convert it. But the content is what counts and I think your found a good niche. Also I have not seen any content related to stanups in this quality!
Hi , you said that the wiseco and the woosner is for more exhaust temperature . When we have more exhaust temperature ? Is so important the weight of the piston ? I know many superjet motors and triple motors with oen or prox pistons with limited or modified engine with no failures. Thanks for the video and your feedback Johnny
So ProX pistons are basically a cast factory replacement. Cast pistons are great for many applications. The Benefit of forged pistons is strength to weight ratio. Forged pistons are MUCH stronger and when setup correctly can take more heat and detonation then a cast piston so you have a little more wiggle room to save an engine if something happens with heat or bad fuel ( to a point of course ) .
@@EricksonMachinePerformance thanks a lot for you feedback and your experience ...i can ask you what squish is the best for you for performance and rebiality with pump gas and if it is the same with triple 65u engine and superjet . regards
What is you thoughts on the pro x pistons? I run them in a spec blaster. I need to do a top end on this winter and didnt know if i should go back with pro x or change it up
For sport spec class racing they NEED to be cast pistons therefore your best bet would be ProX or OEM. Or If your on a budget WSM but they are the heaviest option. I Normally use ProX pistons for Spec and Limited PWC race classes
Yes in this video i was comparing standard domed pistons. So all the pistons in this video have the same style dome. I might come out with another video showing aftermarket flat top pistons and what the differences are.
It should last a long time. It pretty rare a 2 stroke wears out. Normally something happens that causes it to fail, clogged carb, bad fuel, cooling issue ect..
I have not. The cheapest I would end up going is sometimes you can find sudco pistons that are old stock for sale pretty cheap. That being said pistons take a beating buying the cheapest ones a lot of times can cause more headaches
@@EricksonMachinePerformance sadly for my 1985 CB250T, I couldn't find any other replacement pistons except forseti. You're right but I have no choice :(

The video we all needed to see! Nice!
Great video! Cant wait to see what else you post!

Excellent content as always!
Keep'em coming!! I like the content and also that you use metric units.
Thanks for watching!! I plan on it But to be fair I measure everything in inches

What are your thoughts on polishing the piston before use?
In my opinion it a waste of time
Waste of time and WON'T reduce carbon build up at ALL .Have tried it looks pretty , total waste of time.
Have u heard about marine pro pistons, your thoughts. Thanks
I have not used sorry

@@EricksonMachinePerformance yeah the shop i get my parts from here in town run all pro x. I was wondering if there was a better option
For sport spec ProX is Really the best
Just got my xl760 top end bored. I notice top end is stamped 62t Y-1. My xl700 uses the same top end. Are they interchangeable? Different sleeves?
same cylinder casting different sleeves the step at the bottom of the sleeves in where they differ. there sleeves are interchangeable.
If I have top end and new pistons for xl700, can I put it on xl760?
@@Thezznutts yes not problem but you cant put a 760 cyl on a 701 without boring the top of the cases
Recommendation for a sleeved 2 stroke ?
Yes
which are the more reliable one? i mean...i need to choose a piston for a '86 bike and i'm not searching for more power
all are great for stock
