Nice video, I love seeing what people eat around the world...Liz I suspect the broth in the soup was meat based...but they didnt put any meat in it...therefor it is vegetarian...right..lol

I am from Colombia. The traditional oblea Is just the waffer and arequipe.

Oh that is so good to know! Thank you for commenting. We just went with what the women recommend but we’d prefer it with just arequipe! We will try that next time 🙂

@@PursuingMountains A lot people in Colombia like putting all sort of stuff on there food. Take note: Empanadas usually are taken only with lemmon and Aji casero (home made hot sauce). Buñuelos pandebonos, pan de yuca and almojabanas should have no stuffing inside, but many locals like them stuffed with guava jam. In Colombia traditional arepas are not fill with anything other than cheese, the only exception is the arepa de huevo that is filled with a fried egg, I have to admit that filled with meat + egg is tasty (but not the original). Stuffed arepas are originally from Venezuela and are also popular and tasty, but are not the original stuff, the dough is the main protagonist of Colombian areapa with the exception of the arepa paisa that is tastles (I hate them) while in Venezuelan arepas the main thing is the stuffing.

"tradicional"? la oblea tradicional tiene UNICAMENTE arequipe, eso que le incluyan mermelada, leche condensada y lo mas excluyente, queso rayado ya no es oblea, es otra cosa. Igual esta sucediendo en gran medida con las arepas que tratan de imitar a las venezolanas como si las locales no tuvieran ese sabor agregado, pilas.

hi, first time almost in El Gallineral and Dan Gil, although I'm Colombian (live in Orlando F); the 12:39 is not the same as a Squirrel? in Colombia ONLY have then in warmer climates and are more similar to the red European ones than the common brown Americans..

The agoutis are a different species than squirrels, but they are related, they’re both rodents. Squirrels usually have a big bushy tail. Agoutis are larger and don’t have much of a tail.

I would check out the Trip Monkey hostal, you can book any activity through them. I think it only cost us about $20 per person.

They were very unstable. Imagine getting to the top a realizing that your safety device had completely failed 😨

I was with you until the ladder view looking down - triggered ALL my fear of heights! 😬 But thanks for sharing it since that’s as close as I’m going to get!

Ok, I totally respect everyone's dietary choices. However, I noticed that these guys replace meat with a whole lot of carbs, starchy and sugary stuff. I have my doubts our millions of hunter-gatherers that preceded us, ate all this sugar. We simply aren't genetically engineered to eat all these insulin inducing meals. If I were to eat that way, I'd probably end up having diabetes by the age of 35. No hard feelings, loving your videos and vibes.

It's not that we're replacing meat with sugar, we just like to showcase the more fun foods on our videos. When we're not filming we eat pretty healthy, we just don't often show our healthy meals on camera because that would be boring.
