The word Ahimsa (Sanskrit:ahiṃsā, Pāli: avihiṃsā) means 'not to injure' and 'compassion'.
Our war-plagued world will take humanity to hell. But, by abstaining from violence, Mahatma Gandhi unleashed an indomitable moral force which not only helped India to attain independence from British imperialism and colonial oppression, but also inspired millions of people all over the world.
The Gandhian method of Ahimsa became the guiding light influenced several 20th century leaders of various civil and political rights movements.

Very nice. Mahatma's vani is still relevant to the modern world. After Buddha mahatma Gandhi is the greatest human being who born in this country and showed a path of nonviolence -ahimsa.

Very very thank you for this type of video on MK Gandhi, because in a major population of the country(India) there's hate for him due to lack of knowledge.. and personally, I really feel bad when people hate a man who gives his life selflessly to this country.

Jainism is what Gandhiji had followed....
    Ahimsa paramo dharam.
Even I can't follow Jainism truly, because right now I would have just ignored the fact that ahimsa was mentioned without Jainism, if I would have been a true Jain🙏

Nice film on a very pertinent topic in the present world context....It was nostalgic to see many of the great leaders and personalities who are unfortunately no more with us, share the idea of Gandhiji...

I am hardcore Sanghi or Bhakt but I love and respect gandhi and his policies from my bottom of my heart, BJP may hate him but I only hate Gandhi's who and all misuse his name.

Literally your comment is very political to not mention Gandhi in it.

    धर्म हिंसा तथीव च
Non-violence is the ultimate dharma. So too is violence in service of Dharma.
if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them. 🙏

jaziya tax which was imposed on all non musl ims for more than 200 years. Just imagine if today BJP imposes 40% extra GST on non Hin dus then forgot about 200 years or even 20 years within 20 days 90% of all po or Musl ims will convert to Hind uism to save their life and rest 10% will fle e India.

i want to ask a just one question
is there any person exist in the world who has never killed anything in this world at this time???
ahimsa concept is good i have no argue about that but my question is whether it is practicle or not
there is difference between perfect life and practicle life
we are not perfect we are practicle
ahimsa concept is hypothetical concept such concept is not exist in practicle world

question: I am just curious, why didnt M.K.Gandhi advise the British to fight Adolf Hitler with non-violence (Ahimsa)? Why all this advice only for Indians? Why did he ask Indians to support British masters and fight someone else's war in WW-II?

      what a nonsense question,
Indians had nothing and they were poor , illiterate. There was no other option than ahinsa.
Britishers had huge army and weapons, that's why they should involve in war when needed.

Poor boy...INDIA has a rich soil of bravery, patriotism. Today the world thrives for establishing peace and again takes inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi who was a son of this soil. If we want we have the highest potential in leading the world towards Ahimsa. But if somebody challenges us we must not forget that this soil has given birth to many revolutionaries and we are all capable for everything that comes our way.

Hundreds of years of invasion and invaders...the Greeks, the Sakas, the Perthians, the Scythians, the Turko-Afghans, the Mughals, the British could not obliterate Hinduism and now it is under threat since BJP said so? Does that even make sense?

Taking up arms as the last resort to protect Ahimsa and Shaanthi is true Karma Yoga.
It is a fraud and a lie to speak of Peace from others but not Peace from oneself. There are certain religions in the world that do this very well.
The idea for this video is good. The presentation is faulty.

In the past I use to think MKG was a great man but after doing some research I realised that he was too busy showing compassion to others and forgot to show compassion to his own wife and his own kind i.e. Hindus and frankly he may not have been pivotal in getting India its Independence.
