Vishwanathan Jayaraman runs. He runs from 3.30am to 7.30am. He runs barefoot. He runs bare bodied. He runs 32 kilometers a day. He has been running for 15 years. Vishwanathan Jayaraman is a living example of the power of the human will. That we can achieve everything we set our mind too. As long as we keep it simple. And we never give up. This is the untold story of a man who was just like all of us, but found a code to live by, which transformed him from the ordinary into the extraordinary.
"Be the change you wish to see in the world." Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.

I used to live in Triplicane, Chennai, near Marina Beach 4 years back. When I used to go for running I have seen him many times at the beach road early morning. Imagine my surprise when I saw him in this video. Good to see he's still going strong.
I'm addicted to this channel. Thank you God for this gift . Accidentally this channel pop up in youtube and after seeing one video i'm stuck, happy and connect with each single video. From Northeast (Sikkim).🙏🙏❤❤🍀🍀
Check our stories too, I think you will like them.
It's really hard to find people who really enjoy documentary style film making. Your comment gives us hope🙏❤
@@Kathadocumentingtales Yes for sure. Thank you🙏🙏
Some channels are really life changing.. Recently I experienced one with bava chelladurai who tell good life stories
Same happened with me . And I am really happy to subscribe this channel . Worth spending every minutes.
To think that we still have idealists like Jayaraman who is a true Gandhian, brought tears to my eyes. They are the unheralded lighthouses for the world caught in sea of Samsara.I had goosebumps watching this video.
I have read the article about this great man few years ago. Fortunately I could meet him today. Really hard to such a great man in the present materialistic, opportunistic and exploiting world. Who is holding such a position but live very humble. Thank you for having opportunity to met him. God bless him.
In a lighter vein, even if 50% of indian population starts following him today , the hospitals will run out of business in next 10 years.
why 10 years lol
@@shyamdubal6719: No problem Shyam , put your own estimate.
@Roguejin Da : yes ,I agree.
absolutely.
All the streets look so clean though...his feets didn't get dirty and all.
Love his perseverance.
Have seen him running bare foot in Dr Radhakrishna road. Gandhian principles are so deep rooted in values like truth and honesty and it can never fade.Kudos to Vishwanathan sir for taking it as his guiding force.
Mahatma Gandhi is the perfect example of being mahatma from very common man 🙏🏾🙏🏾.
I know Mr Vishvanathan since ,2010. He is all that is shown in this video and more. Kudos to the producers for having discovered this personality and presented him to the world. We need such examples to steer us towards the right path. Mr Vishvanathan is known as an officer with very high level of integrity, who speaks his mind on issues without prejudice or malice. He is known for his clear thinking and plain speaking. I am proud to be his colleague.
Nice to have another take on Vishwanathan Anand! Thank you for your words. Do follow the channel--we have many more untold stories on India coming up.
no words, mind blowing. Jayaraman ki jai ho!!!
Kudos to Bharat Bala Sir and his team for letting the world know about Vishwanathan Jayaraman and the many others we've so far been introduced to through this web series. Absolutely unmissable. Well researched, well presented and well made. This is vintage Bharat Bala stuff at his world-class best. Right from the days of Maa Tujhe Salaam, Bharat Bala sir's work has never failed to give me the goosebumps. Keep inspiring us with more of such amazing nuggets from different parts of India.
Thank you for your words! Do follow the page, we have many more untold stories of India coming up.
Vishu sir, with all my heart wish you become the Prime Minister of India, imagine what paradise of a premise you can help road runners with!
Wish you a Bharat Ratna or least a Padma Vibhushan, cos you deserve it.
Bharath Bala and team many namaskarams and thank you for such inspiring stuff.
Please if you can do a 3-4 hrs film on him.
Sad fact is that he will be trapped or get assasinated. This is what happens with loyal people in politics.
Bharat Bala - an epitome of quality production, including sound and music, and a beautiful story telling - and most importantly, presenting the best that Bharat (India) has to offer to the world.
Keep up the fabulous work Bharat Bala and team! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
This channel is full of gems ! After long time found a channel which is fantastic !!! Thank you creator !
Every time I've see this man on the road, I have thought to myself "if there's someone who's purpose in life is to run, its him". I've been extremely curious about him and his life and I've really wanted to connect with him for all these years. Thank you for sharing his story!
Xmas to me that
Best part is last slide of info.... Principal Financial Advisor to Southern Railway.. India is amazing. Bharatbala from where you get such good things. Really thanks
Hello Kunal, Vishwanathan Jayaraman story is so compelling that it had to be made into a film, to inspire young minds about dedication, devotion and perseverance.
Very interesting. What self-discipline! (One quibble ... he does not run bare-bodied, he runs bare-chested; there's a matter of a few inches of cloth around his waist. :) )
I regularly see vishwanath ji at beach road or dr radhakrishna road, I salute his will power of running, and jogging
Incredible. He is a role model for the world.
Shine enough light for the next step....
Thats a very worthy question to ask the creator...🙏
So inspiring 🙏🌹
thank you for such motivation... he is truly inspirational to see on screen.
We do cycling in the marina , We did not miss this person always chacing his target with a happy smile in the face when we wish him good morning
Stupendous will power and grit.Great!

Thanks for bringing him to the notice of all people.
Keep up the great work..🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
One . Makes me jealous that he can run as his free will asks.
I can barely move from point a to point b.
Secondly, he is oblivious to what people would think or talk about him...
Hats off to a guy who will never be bothered by Sugar and BP.
Thinking of all those traumatised Drug manufacturing fat cats. They are alive because I spend 9k a month on meds.
Must change the way I live. One step at a time. Reduced food intake off late.. next on list ,physical torture by walking if not running long distances.

Because of the wrong fake jnu history taught to you.

The number of likes does not really reflect much, but I do see your point. It is surprising that large numbers of viewers are not moved to _at least_ click the 'like' button. What amazes me is that at this moment there are 1.9K *dislikes* ! What in this story is there to elicit that response? Some people are just miserable gits, I guess.

wanderlust forever
I was never quite happy with this "chasing" bit.Gandhi has been always around- like the grass, the leaves that drop, the wind that blows or the still air often times. You never notice, though.
Since childhood and then as I aged Gandhi stared out of every nook and cranny.large or decrepit hoardings, quotes true or not, insipid and ritualistic govt sponsored anniversaries for birth and death from the raucous to the sombre and of course, the relentless research for finding new meanings in his life and thoughts. There is only so much- but,the image building industry never tired of its profitable enthusiasm. My appreciation was always begrudged -my criticism, equally blasphemous.
What manner of man was this Gandhi? Most certainly, not a Walt Disneyian Mickey Mouse was he, when the best of the British were aghast seeing him bare - chested in a loin cloth at the Royal Buckingham Palace. With equal derision had he sniggered at the jack - booted Subhash when he saw him at the Kalyan Congress. He loved the suave and faithful Nehru and hated the violent rebels.Bhagat Singh and his ilk,the Royal Indian Naval Mutiny including the Communists were misguided, recalcitrants who failed to see that unity and non - violent processes were the only way that India could become free. The Muslims were one of the two eyes of India and he zealously stuck to that theme.Personally,he experimented with his sexual proclivities privately and publicly shocking his more conservative votaries at that.
Today,I keep wondering would we have been proud of our freedoms if we would have fought for them and bled and died- instead of having just broken backs and maimed limbs and died without a hand being raised in retaliation and to be calling that Satyagraha or Non-Cooperation?Ironically,how does it feel yet, when a Mandela or Martin Luther Jr. make this unmanly struggle a heroic inspiration to liberate distant peoples in faraway climes.
His stories continue to insult my intelligence while the bloodied struggles of a Lenin and a Mao keeps me in awe.I shall never be sure, if he deserved to be shot, which almost seven decades later seems to be a secret joy of many.I shall never know that an Ashfaq or Azad were wrong.I shall never understand why unity at all costs of all communities, religions, castes and classes was the need of the hour. And only non-violently could India have become free?
I was not born then or been a part of that history. But Gandhi still keeps me humbled. ..🐾
Bharat Bala in another of his deep searches gifts to us the story of one like us who raises the bar of his life and loves quite anonymously and very silently. He tell us of his very own unique take of the Mahatma which I found beguiling .☘

Did anyone notice he runs on the wrong side of the road?
Walk Right, Drive Left. He is running correctly
thats the normal / regular practice to walk opp the traffic, thing is he did run in middle of the road .. may be for drone movement
@@rossconnelly6891 You are putting yourself in risk walking along the traffic. You don't know who will come and knock you from back. No scope to react. This is the reason globally pedestrian walk opposite to traffic and if something goes wrong in upcoming vehicle you have some chance to react

I walk barefoot, I'm starting to run barefoot, and making my feet strong and changing my shoes changed my life last year - Basically because it gave me strong legs and made me want to walk, which I did, and walking with minimal shoes what happened was I didn't get tired... even if I was quite a heavy smoker - I started a second youth - Then one thing led to another, and I lost weight, I started eating better, I started reducing my anti-depressors, I gave up weed, and some months later, this April, I gave up smoking tobacco - In the last months I'm getting to breath with the diafragm and on holidays I climbed to a 2.900 m high mountain in the Pirenees - Strenghtening my feet and respecting them has been the best thing I've done in my life and I recomend it to everyone because it's easy and very nice, and if a lazy man like me could do it I'm sure anyone can do it - This is also to say I understand this guy can run for 4 hours barefoot, because when you learn a about the subject it's all natural - Read 'Born to run', chapter 28, and you'll see.
