@@akshatgupta5580 if I may join in here, Yes all the methods of non violence he used in boycotting British goods, his salt march etc and his inclusion of all people regardless of religion or caste in this path to freeing India from the British left a deep impact on the whole world. Other leaders were greatly inspired by his methods , applying some of these wonderful methods in their countries with success. Nobody denies the greatness of other great leaders who preceded him but the path Bapu took worked very well for the independence India ultimately got. I’m American, Indian-American, born and raised in America.
I’m 24 years old, born in 2001. To hear such a reasonable stance such as his from 100 years before my time has meant a lot to me.
His message of admitting that he isn’t arguing from reason, but of a higher faith, and that this higher faith can be translated through government, is something so simple and yet so powerful.
Many people where I live have forgotten such sentiments, it makes me feel proud that his messaging transcends time.
I wonder if he knew that people around the world a hundred years after his time will be intentionally listening to his words.
I would like for him to know that everything he worked for wasn’t a waste. Even if countries right now in the 2020s are fighting, infighting, he should know that his message still hasn’t been forgotten.
We are facing similar issues once again that we have in the past, it’s no different, the same fight but in a different era, we cannot forget or lose these voices that predate our era.

So,don't compare historical persons with today's standard .Gandhi as a young lawyer was a racist but later he understood that he was exactly doing the same atrocity that the British was doing against the indians.one of the most famous thing about him is that he started to call lower caste Hindus harijans.pls read a few books about him.half knowledge is very dangerous

Such a revolutionary man he inspired for so much change martin luther king jr himself was inspired by him making change in America there must be more. We need to apply his logic in modern times. To change the world not with force but peace.

One day, soon, the age of lies of this University will come crashing down on its head. And when that day comes these false gods like our current PM will be written in history as "selfish totalitarians"
Gandhiji said that every time a tyrant rose to power in history, the day came within a few decades or a few years his reign ended and truth triumphed.

Wow! What a cultivated and uplifting intellect he possessed. An intellect which acknowledged the limitations of reason and the supremacy of Spirit.
His lessons on being moral and ethical too are simple to understand and inspiring.
India is lucky to have a Mahatma like Gandhiji who has and will always guide her.
Only if we listen and pay heed to his message of love, brothethood and truth.
