For one, the Version 2 VZ-R had a completely redesigned rear sub frame done by NISMO to get the best out the torsion bar suspension. I believe it was set up to have 0% toe in. which helped dramatically around the corners, a second thing to note, that this VZR having yellow interior, was the Super lightweight version of the VZR N1 V2. only about 60 or so made out of the 200 VZR's. most of them were converted to track cars, they are rare as hens teeth. The engines from the V1 And V2 are the same, and with the V1 it really goes to show how much the torsion bar suspension let it down. you cant compare it to the Civics individual strut system. which just goes to show why the V1 got completely dominated by the civic, but the V2 was all over it, plus dori dori obviously, but really goes to that Nissan really gave honda a Run for their money for 1.6 class. >totally not biased owning 2 VZ-R's myself. :3

@none Non electric windows lightweight seats id say about 10-20kg but it wasn't just that they changed version 2 gearbox to shorter ratios for track use and setup the suspension as you can see compared to version 1. There were no engine modifications V1 and 2 are the same

you are correct, most people dont care about "the driving experience." If I can get a small RWD turbo ehybrid with modular traction control for 40k that does 0-100 in 5s in 10 -15 years I would be a happy man

it's a N1 spec engine it's built for race it's quite amazing that the civic ek9 doesn't have a racing spec engine and keep up with the pulsar yes the chassis/suspension played a big role but in straight lines the civic wasn't left in the dust (or rain in this race)

LMAO....Pulsars have always been faster cars than Civics. Their are also standard versions of Nissan Pulsar family cars which have no turbo sport and has over 190bhp. Sport version GTIR are a beast from the East. Nissan are known to be making the fastest cars in Japan, Honda comes 2nd and Toyota 3rd.

Nissan suspension is garbage. The Superstrut in the Levin/Trueno is much superior around corners, even better than the Civic stock for stock.

Just version II...No mods...sr is a better engine and the n15 with the right ratios and rear toe is faster than the type-r...
