What a neat time capsule Kevin! The stuff inside stayed perfectly preserved, with old business cards and more, wow! I would never get rid of any of this stuff if it was me! Thanks buddy for sharing.
How awesome! I love anything old, but that was truly an amazing gift. The chain looked like a pocket watch chain. One end went into a button hole, and the other attached to your pocket watch. How flipping amazing!
Hello Kevin. Awesome video and Old Antique Doctor's bag gift. 🙂Nice finds in that bag! The 1888 shirt cuff items are awesome and Lew and I like those. Too bad the old postage stamps are damaged on the envelope with the playing cards in it. Maybe next time you can find some and maybe even marbles in a old bag! LOL! We are looking forward to watching more of your videos. Take care and happy hunting to you.----Jeffrey Hull Jr. (Jeff & son Lew)
Great little doctor's bag. We sold quite of few of various sizes in the shop over the years. We always made sure to write on the receipt that they were antique and the approximate date. The leather was usually elephant, alligator or hippo - all that you don't want to have to explain to customs why you have one in your possession unless you can prove antiquity. Overall a nice find - I would think $75 for the bag and $75 for the contents would be a great deal for someone. I have sold single antique playing cards in protective plastic sleeves for $10.00 each so it is possible you could do much better parting everything out. Well done!
@@kathylong4712 Are you asking me ? I laugh at his laughs, and funny remarks... I just want to show him that I found humor ... I don't laugh at stuff... All finds are awesome. 😎✌
That was awesome. It reminded me of going through my mom’s desk. I really love those playing cards! The pipe stem mouthpieces were cool too, especially the one with all the metal decorations. By far, all the paper inside is what makes it the most special. Great video!
This was great dude. Looks like it is performing well too. My #1 video was that antique store upload where i purchased that battery. This kind of stuff outperforms EVERYTHING for me. If you can find anything like this that is an oddity....it will make money and people will watch it............forever. I am serious man. id say you and I could both make more $$$ just driving around to antique stores...LOL.
@@rockscousteau this one is going to be my best revenue generating video in awhile. So far, it's doing great. The presentation could of used some work, but the final image of everything displayed on the table looked great. Gotta get more of these random, odd, old pieces... they seem to do well in a mixed bag.
Woooowwweee!!!! That was SUCH a neat video!! Absolutely fascinating!! I think I've found one of those cuff clip things and never knew what they were! I got so excited when you opened the tin with all the cuffs!!! Sooooo fun! 🙌
What an awesome bag of goodies. I wondered if it could be a woman's purse, but it does seem to be a mans. What an amazing collection!! I enjoyed every minute of it
What a treasure you have there! Will you be keeping it all together? Hope so! The book looks to be early to mid 1800's - would be great to find the date. The font and spelling is quite old. Look forward to hearing more about this treasure!
This is such a great find and so unique...it gives us a look into some early 1900s New Brunswick history.I think the playing cards are a lot older.Maybe the good doctor was doing some gambling at a few taverns along his rounds.
I have a leather 1860s -1870s embalming bag with all kinds of neat stuff including 2 different types of embalming bottles. (2 of each) I want to keep one of each of the embalming bottles but the sets look good together. The early blown Dodge bottles are nice but the still Unknown Eagle Politician brand with an embossed eagle and swords are the reason I mentioned this.... anyone have a clue or information?? .I used the cuff clips to cheat at cards back in the 1800s 😳😉

Historic stuff! Interesting stuff in that bag!
Pretty wild, huh ?! First time I've had an opportunity like this

Oh yes ! I believe you are right about that pocket watch chain... amazing !
what an awesome time capsule.
For sure... I had so much fun looking at that stuff. Not exactly what I was expecting to be in the bag at all !
WOW awesome !! Love it all ! So interesting
Not at all what I was expecting to be in it lol
I thought you would never get in that bag, lol So cool to see it all like that. All in good condition for it's age👍
Haha... I was worried there for a bit. I'm glad I managed to get into it
Lots of New Brunswick history in that old purse, Kevin. That old hair comb is beautiful!❤
Some pretty cool stuff there isn't there, Cynthia ?

I was wondering the same, but the fellow assured me that it is a doctor's bag... he gave me the good doctors name and location of past residence.
That aluminum cover would have been worth more than gold a decade or two sooner than 1903.
Sounds like it was rare stuff

Oh wow ! So it is... thanks for the info. I would never have guessed that in a million years
The card at 6:30 is a stereo graph card ,early 3D device

The chain is for a pocket watch
Thanks, yep, that's right
I wonder if he got arrested for stealing that blanket!
Right... left us hanging lol
Those aren't cheat clips - they held detachable shirt cuffs onto a shirt sleeve - adjustable
Yes, I said that in the video and also included the folklore about them being cheat clips lol
