A year later and he's blown up. Bugs me a bit to tell the truth, I heard someone blasting a song of his in my small town today. My inner 8th. Grader is adamant that I liked him before he was big :)
I was really sick, for several years. During that time I discovered TC. His music was all I wanted to listen too. It’s funny how the right song, at the right time, is like medicine for your head and your heart ❤️ To have 20 min with him to explain how his music saved me during rough times.... I’d love to have that opportunity.
Dan Bern thanks Dan. Yes his songwriting is incredible. That man can sell you any song he’s singing too. Such a great performer! I wish I had the opportunity to share with him my little story and how much his music has been a savior to me.
Seriously I know what you mean. His music is what I never knew I always needed. As a guitar player myself I can say he's got a true gift. Every time I try to write something serious it just ends up turning into something funny.
That line in Matthew about Clarence White is incredible. Love that so much of his music is unreleased and just has one or two recordings on UA-cam. He’s been writing so much since the release of Purgatory it’s crazy. Can’t wait for this next album.
hoping you're still on here and see this reply - would love to hear, now 4-5 years later, what you think of stuff he's released since Purgatory. Personally, I still love this man and the art he supplies to the universe. What a gift.
@@jordancmccauley to be perfectly honest, I’m not really into the kind of music he’s making lately. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Take My Hounds to Heaven, particularly hearing the arrangement of the title track just disappointed me after hearing the rockin version for years. I think the newest album is a step in the right direction. I’ve never been a huge fan of his studio production choices in general but lately, it’s just really not the kind of country music that I like listening to. Happy to see him doing well and healthy though. Just wish that the energy of those older songs was still there
Most of the music he’s been playing lately has never been released. Some good recordings of it on UA-cam though. 5 or 6 truly incredible songs. Oughta be on the next album.
Best and most underrated Real country artist of today. This is what country music was meant to sound like.
Amen brother
I couldnt agree more. His music give me hope country isnt dead

I grew up near where he is from. I can hear the Bluegrass in his voice, yet he is different. Unique. Interesting storyteller . Deep.
This man is amazing, love the music.
