I remember this STO mission. A lone Starfleet vessel was dispatched to provide aid to a group of scientists and archeologists collecting samples and conducting surveys only to find themselves under Gorn attack in planetary orbit. The Gorn lays claim to the planet and will lay waste to any trespassers, especially to those responsable for destroying one of their own ships which they believe it was Starfleet as the destroyers/the aggressors. Starfleet if I recall triangulate their sensors to create some sort of pulsewave that uncovers 3 Romulan ships to de-cloak and show themselves.
Good mission that one is!

They needed the Picard maneuver to flip the ship all the time , so the Gorn fails many of the shots😊

Maybe he or she is a young captain, i don't know it. But if the captain is tough to not to say "Oh no!" perhaps the captain would be a commander of a bigger or better ship 🥰🖖🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️

This is a Pioneer-Class science anf auxillary vessel. The USS Pioneer NCC 1500 was the first ship. It's a STO created ship class. 🖖
