Wanna change my front pipe on my '72 some day. Hopefully the six nuts will come off with some PB blaster. But the studs are probably shot. Then it's off with the exhaust manifold !!!

I never knew there was a difference between the manifolds. I have just fitted a Weber dcoe and had to grind it to match my 'HIF' type exhaust as the dcoe manifold has thinker flanges. I could have saved an hours work by buying a £10 HS version. Now I know.......

I was able to do this with MAP gas, it took a little longer but it was possible
