- Sedici Strada II Helmet Review
rvz.la/2v76wOX
Sedici’s Strada II helmet shatters expectations for its class, and it looks good doing it. The Strada II’s proprietary shell (3 sizes) uses fiberglass and Dupont™ Kevlar® to deliver a light, protective helmet. The Strada II has been tuned to aerodynamically reduce lift and turbulence for a better riding experience. Ventilation throughout the helmet gets air where it’s needed. Additional features include reflective accents, a drop-down sun visor, and a Pinlock-ready shield. (Pinlock not included.) The Sedici Strada II is DOT/ECE-22.05 certified. - Авто та транспорт
Had this for about a month and just realised it had a flip down visor. This helmet is sweeeet!
😂😂 I'm dead
Hahahahahahhah so good!
Got done on my first longer ride with this helmet, 230 miles.
- Foam cheek pads are tight against your cheeks, but not uncomfortable; can get caught and pulled out at the rear on handlebars/head...at the reflective pieces on the back.
- Very tight getting this on and off
- Wind noise is good under 45; 45-65 a little loud but not insane; 65+ gets very loud...definitely need earplugs for long highway riding. Vents being open creates more wind noise.
- Wind noise is from the top 2 vents; no wind noise from opening of helmet. I ride a DL650 and barely hear the motor and road noise at any speed coming from below.
- Cheek pads are a PITA to get back in correctly. The plastic skirt you see that slides into the helmet is difficult to line back up and get in. Takes a bit of force and practice.
- Visor is so clear it is weird. If there wasn't refraction at the very edges you could forget there is a visor down....besides less air and bugs in your eyeballs at speed.
- Tinted pop down visor is useful in town on bright days; does have a small amount of glare in lens at certain angles. Easy to ignore though.
- Wish it had slightly larger speaker cutouts. My measurements came in at 45mm on the dot. I'm looking to get the 45MM JBL's or IASUS X3's which could be tight.
- Doesn't seem to buffet(?) at any speed below 80. Even then it is minor.
Really happy with it overall. My only big complaints is the difficulty getting the cheek pads back in place, and wish it had better top vent design to cut down on wind noise, as the wind noise can get loud even with vents closed at higher highway speeds. Otherwise, very comfortable, very well sealed at the bottom with the chin skirts and cheek pads, I like the affirmative feel of the click/snap when you get the shield completely shut and sealed to the helmet. Had the helmet on for about 6 hours, more or less straight, and no headaches or annoying spots that my face found.
Final note - I came from a HJC FS-15 carbon helmet. I didn't compare actual weight, but they feel the same, the Sedici might even feel slightly lighter. For me, my FS-15 was a Large size and was loose on my head. I got the Sedici in large and it was too tight. Each helmet brand has slightly different sizing, but just something to keep in mind as I had to send the Large back and get an XL.
Great review!! I'm a new rider and I just brought the helmet today. Very comfortable and the clarity of the visor is amazing, I also agree with the tightness around the cheek area but I'm hoping it 'breaks in' sorta speak as I ride more often ✌🏾
I agree with everything, im usually a medium and had to buy it in Large, but im happy with it. Another thing ti mention it does not fog at all.
Yeah getting those pads back in is chore took me 20 minutes to get other than that it's the best helmet I've owned ofcourse I've only owned 6 helmets.
I got this helmet last week, I really like it! Its very comfortable and fairly lightweight. The faceshield is extremely clear, its easy to forget its there at all when you have it down. Overall I think it punches well above its weight class.
That was the goal with the total redesign! -DrewZilla
Got the gloss carbon and yes good helmet
@@RevZilla how is it with wind noise that's one of my biggest things
I have the Strada 2 love this helmet very quiet and works with my cardo. The chin curtain falls off if I try to put the helmet on with it attached .I ride without and still has low road noise
Quick note on the old helmets visor locks, they work fine. You just have to put them in probably, "L" goes on left "R" goes on right and when locked "sedici" should be right side up. If you do that, they don't fall out. The locks on the helmet RevZilla has on the table are installed wrong @4:35. It's "L" on left but the logo is upside down. Probably didn't get double checked when someone put the dark smoke shield on. All that being said I'm glad they idiot-proofed the new design and made it like all other modern helmets.
Just got mine today!! I love it!! Thank you Revzilla!!
I see the Carbon preorder. Looks awesome.
Hopefully there is also an option for no drop down visor on the carbon.
If they pull off a snell rating with the carbon, that will be an outstanding deal.
Yes, there will be a Snell-rated Strada 2 Primo Carbon, and the price should be the same as the Carbon with sun visor. Coming around May. -DrewZilla
This is my first motorcycle helmet, I got a lime green one with like that 90s Garbage Patch Kids decal style with like green slime and stuff on it, super cool helmet!!
I've just bought one of these and was REALLY pleasantly surprised. I normally wear top of the line AGVs but this is a terrific, super-comfortable, well designed helmet. Probably more comfortable than my AGVs! Amazing value for the money. Only tiny glitch for me was the speaker cutouts were too low and back in relation to my ears and Sena 10C intercom system. Overall though, excellent!
11 months later, how is it for wind noise? And can you comment on internal space for fitting a coms unit? I'm looking for another helmet...
@@GIZZMOTORSPORTS 11 Months later, this has been a great helmet. I have had trouble getting my speakers to a level where I can hear them well, through earplugs but I can't tell if this is due to the helmet being noisy or just that I've been unable to find the perfect location. If you don't care about in-helmet audio or wear audio ear plugs, this won't be a factor though. So the original review stands, a GREAT helmet for the price, with a top quality clear screen and screen attachment system too.
@@kennethwilliams9924 so you'd say this is a bit loud? That's my main concern, my current loud helmet is so fatiguing.
@@GIZZMOTORSPORTS I think it's louder than my AGV Pistas are yes. But it was 1/3rd of the price and with earplugs not really a big problem. I wouldn't say it was a loud helmet. They're sold at Revzilla and sister company Cycleworld. See if Cycleworld have a demo helmet you can try maybe?
@@kennethwilliams9924 that’s for the info Kenneth!
This was my first helmet, and I loved it instantly. Perfect bucket for my 3X brain! Only one complaint: The triangular chin curtain is a joke. Seriously, who designed this? It will always pop out when you don or remove the helmet. I ended up chucking it, as I couldn't get it snapped back in place once the helmet was on.
Agreed! I’ve owned one since early 2020, it’s an absolute joke, my only gripe. Pops out of place if you look at it the wrong way! Lol
The little pockets for extra padding is nice if you are a round head, but what if you are a Blockhead ??
The Strada One saved my life I trust these helmets lmao
Just bought mine today it’s coming in da mail this week🌚
Such a bad ass looking helmet! I'm curious about the front mouthpiece and blocking of bugs or material / screen to prevent that from happening? That's my biggest complaint really with my current helmet and the fact that I have to manually swap out visors to go from clear to tinted during the sun and day to night shifts but this solves all of that and looks amazing.
Like most street helmets, there's no specific screen inside the chin vent to catch bugs. That's generally limited to dirt helmets. Keep in mind that the front vent redirects air up to the inside of the face shield, not straight to the mouth, so that might help. -DrewZilla
*bit.ly/Sedici_Strada_II
The drop-down visor is nice, but it doesn't go all the way down so you get an outline of the frame in your lower line of sight. It gets a little distracting, but it does work well when you go around a curve and suddenly find yourself staring into the sun
My wife just gave me the demon 😈 helmet. Very nice, comfortable fit! So far a upgrade to my hjc.
Can you convert the medium size to large just by changing the liner??
Watched this video several times and am just about solid on the ‘Primo’ version. However, looking at your website I notice the Primo has is being offered only in the MATTE BLACK finish. Am I to assume it will be sold in matte black exclusively... or will it be offered in a variety of shades when it does hit the market..??
As always.... GREAT JOB with your product review videos.. 👍👍
More colors and graphics will follow however they have been delayed due to the current state of the world. Glad to hear you like the lid! If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our Gear Geeks at 877.792.9455 or cs@revzilla.com. Ride safe -Pat
RevZilla ... Thanks..!! GREAT customer service.. as always..!!
I have this helmet..love it ...one thing fog up...what can I do...its bad
Just got the Primo Strada 2 and its a great helmet.
I’m confused is it 3 shell sizes or 2? Your video says 3 put website says 2. Can you please clarify.
Just picked this up today tbh. First helmet bought.
Man, this helmet makes my very first (and still using) generic ass Duke helmet seem like total garbage lol I love the sun visor pop-down!
Just got mine today ✌🏾
Same
@Ryan H. hows it goin for you a year later ?
I like it very much. Pro or Con depending on the person for me it needs more venelation for the summer az heat. The d ring to secure the helmet needs to be a little bit lower. The chin flap needs to be redesigned to be more secure mines worn out. The likes i love the drop down sun visor dont care about the snell rating i prefer the ece rating. I like the pads and price. After 2 years still holding very good.
I bet it is LS2 Vector/Citation(FF397) helmet with slightly different shell - visor, visor lock mechanism and triangle washer looks identical on photos. And one more thing: real manufacturer of this helmet Jiang Men Peng Cheng Helmets Co., Ltd. (MHR) mentioned on the sticker inside Sedici Strada 2 owns LS2 brand.
how do i order one with clear lens, picture only show black lens?
Why is the chin vent cover not even? The crack above it is wider on the right side from the riders perspective. Is this a quality issue?
I think he previously didn't close it all the way or bumped it, it is a demo. You can see when he snaps it open and closed later it doesn't have that problem, I've seen in person and they seems to snap open and closed fine although I don't actually own this helmet though.
I have been trying to order the dark smoke visor for this helmet from you guys or cycle gear but there is some sort of cargo problem?? I’ve been waiting a month and still not in stock
Check today... I just ordered the blue iridium today it just came back in stock so maybe the smoke did too
Loved the helmet but the only cons for me is that it isn't eyeglasses friendly and it doesn't have the emergency quick release.
Also if it had UV protection on the visors
So everything was explained but the sun visor. Im not sure what happened but the slide stopped working and one side ended up popping out. Just trying to find out how to fix it
Never mind i think i fixed it 🤣
Why does the visor have those screws?
Mine came without the removable pads. The pads it has are glued in and I had to pluck them out in pieces to make the lid fit properly. Pretty inelegant solution. I can see myself buying yet another helmet in the not too distant future. It won't be this brand.
when will the graphic models be released? and can you buy tinted visors for the strata 2?
Graphics are in production currently and should arrive and ship by early summer. Also, yes, there will be light smoke, dark smoke, and 5 color mirror finishes for the face shield by early-April. Hope this helps! -DrewZilla
*bit.ly/Strada2_Face_Shields
RevZilla been waiting weeks for a tinted visor :(
Trying to decide between the Strada II and the Sistema II…. Tough decision.
Revzilla, How does the sizing compare to the previous strada 1? I have a large in the strada 1!
The Strada 2 will be a bit tighter versus the original Strada helmet, so if you feel like the size you are in is just right, or even a hair tight I'd recommend going up to the next size.
I hope that helps!
-Zack
RevZilla Zack, I actual went into cycle gear, tried on a medium & it fit me much better than the large, my head shape must be a bit more unique than i thought!
What're the screws for on the sides of the visor. Just a lone screw on the left and right.
They're Pinlock pins, not screws. They allow a flexible Pinlock anti-fog lens to be mounted to the inside of the face shield, which greatly reduces fogging. Hope this helps! -DrewZilla

When buying a visor would it be compatible with both the sedici strada ii and sedici strada ii primo?
Yes, the external shield is the same on both Stada 2 models.
Good vid but whats it like out on the bike and in the rain etc ?
Oh man! If only we had a video about testing it on the road. Oh wait ... BOOM! Enjoy!

Patiently waiting for those base plates to come back in stock…
Own one. Cheek pad slots for glasses please.
Are they coming out with a modular helmet based off this new design?
The Sistema II is brand new and updated, but it looks a little different than the Strada II. -DrewZilla
*bit.ly/Sistema2_strada
I think I really like the Sedici Sistema.
What are the shell sizes re head size, because...
The original Sistema only has two shell sizes, so smaller head sizes will still look a bit bigger. -DrewZilla
@@RevZilla Wow! Thank you so much for your reply to my query.
THAT is good customer service.
Looks like I will definitely be buying from y'all... Soon.
Looks like LS2 breaker is the one.
Are the 5mm pads already in the helmet when bought or would i have to add them in after i receive it?
They are already installed in the liner (by adhesive) out of the box. If you choose to remove them, you would just pull them off for a bit more space.
@@RevZilla okay perfect, thanks
I just got this yesterday and having little buyer remorse most because I originally was interested in the Scorpion Exo due to it mentioning that it had a UV protected visor and was also compatible with most eyeglasses. I needed a helmet for my beginner class Sunday cause finally took the initiative and got my motorcycle permit. Been looking at helmets and originally wanted to get the scorpion exo but unfortunately the site I was going to order it from showed it wouldn’t be here before the class. Saw there was a cycle gear shop near by and stopped in to see what they had. Also never wore a helmet before so wasn’t sure what size I needed. They only had one exo in stock and it was a medium but unfortunately it was to tight, but were getting more Thursday but he was showing me other options in store that had large available and I ended up asking which he preferred and he talked me into the strada 2. I didn’t have my glasses with me to try on with the helmet. When i got home with the helmet I tried it on and tried to get my glasses on but couldn’t get them on (I think the issue for me here is that the legs broke inside the rubber part that goes over your ear and since they aren’t solid they won’t push past the pads new pair of glasses come in a few weeks hopefully) but has anyone used glasses with this helmet. Thats my biggest concern.
I have glasses they fit just fine my glasses are thin though
I have glasses with hard plastic arms instead of the rubber and a more ‘flexible-bendy’ arms that I think you are mentioning. My head is 57cm and the employee said a M would fit and I’m in the same shoes as you, first helmet and I have classes coming up. The helmet was very snug that my cheeks are a bit squished-still can’t tell if it’s a good thing or bad. So the glasses as also a bit pressed onto my sides but nothing uncomfortable
@@bananachachen8068 hope class goes well. I ended up thankfully getting contacts shortly after and didn’t need to wear my glasses for the class. I only really need them for at night and for long distance reading which thankfully I haven’t encountered a situation where i needed to wear my glasses
Apparently my Strada 2 doesn’t have a drop down sun visor, like at all. No connecting points, no control for it, nada. I wonder why I paid full price at Cycle Gear for a helmet that had less than it’s supposed to have.
Did you buy the Strada 2 PRIMO Helmet? Because the Primo Helmet is the SNELL certified version of the helmet and by SNELL rulings, cannot have a drop down sun visor.
www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/sedici-strada-2-primo-helmet
So I lost my chin guard for my Strada 2 helmet, anyway to order a replacement?
Yeah there should be a way of grabbing a replacement. Reach out to our customer service teams and they should be able to try and locate one for you. Can't do too much via UA-cam comments but they should get you all set!
Alot of gear snobs on here. Not everyone has big bucks for gear. Different prices for different budgets
I would rather go with a SNELL rate HJC at the price point.
Modustollens1 yep
@Modustollens1 the Sedici is SNELL. HJC helmets have it all figured out for this price range. You're gonna get a better more well built helmet for your dollar.
Some parts of this helmet just seem cheap [feeling].
@Modustollens1 As this version has an internal sun visor, it cannot be Snell-rated, but it's both DOT- and ECE-rated. There will be a Snell-rated Strada 2 Primo version coming without the internal sun visor, so stay tuned for that one. -DrewZilla
different strokes for different folks
What are the 2 two screws for on the front visor?
For adding a pinlock lens insert for anti-fogging.
I hope it has less wind noise than the first version. I cant hear my harley at 80 mph
The design team worked a lot on noise reduction with the Strada II. Of course, with any helmet, we always recommend wearing earplugs to reduce the risk of long-term hearing loss. -DrewZilla
*bit.ly/Sedici_Strada_II
Nope. The wind noise is horrible even with all the vents closed. Mine fogs up at EVERY stop sign. If this is the improved version then I got hosed.
Never put it on?
No comments about visibility?
Good luck trying to find a tinted face shield tho
That reinforcement at the top ... that’s because it gets tested there and there is less incentive to reinforce all of it? Awesome.
zero11010 lol... so basically a crap budget helmet ?
Cool. I’ll stick to Shoei.
@@whatsstefon can't compare a $200 helmet to a shoei

Bugged the shit out of me the entire time honestly but walked away from the review totally wanting this helmet now!
Will y'all come out with a Primo version that has the Dino paint scheme or can i custom order one?
Currently this is no Dino Primo planned at the moment but that may change in the future and unfortunately, we cannot custom order helmet graphics. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our Gear Geeks in customer service! - Pat
RevZilla thanks for the very speedy feedback :)
WOW‼️Only $200 for an ECE or Snell approved helmet that looks stylish; No complaints!😎

I got mine yesterday for 369 but also keep in mind prices go up and I also got it with a built in sena bluetooth system sounds nicee
Where can I get a dark visor for this helmet?
The Face Shield for the Strada 2 is getting added to the site soon but given the COVID delays, it has caused a bit of a backlog. In the meantime, please reach out to our customer service Gear Geeks and they will be able to get you all squared away for right now. - Pat
@@RevZilla I just ordered mine yesterday. Does it ship with a clear shield or with a black one
I’m about to go buy one USED, but mint condition for $50 !!!!!!!
This looks identical to my wife's HJC cs-r2
IMHO, some detail in this helmet looks like LS2 helmet..
I would not be suprise if this is just an LS2 made helmet with Sedici branding stuck on it
The original Strada is almost an exact duplicate of the Bilt Raptor and the Speed and Strength SS1600 and SS1310. The only differences are basically the vents they slapped on em. So yeah, no surprises if it’s just another copy.
I have this and the ls2, I can guarantee that the strada 2 is it's own helmet and is actually really really nice and comfortable, it really has been built like a much more expensive helmet. I was shocked at how comfortable and quiet it is
Really? I tried one a few days ago actually and I thought it was just as loud as the first one. Although I definitely agree that the quality feels better than the old version.
@@mistah_ninja8676 my boy I ride with everyday has an Ls2
I’ve had a Sedici Strada 1 & 2 their quality is way higher than their worth
Can I wear it comfortably with glasses on
Yes, that is why I got it!!
Yes, even with the sun visitor down
No doesn't fit eyeglasses well
only issue is the left cheek pad getting it back in is a PAIN in the ass
waiting for ari and zack videos..
Love the helmet but it’s a little heavy for a sports bike .. I get home with my neck hurting .. I mostly ride with my kyt race helmet cause it’s so light .. but I got to say sedici is a way better made helmet .. but I only use it for short rides cause it’s heavy
i think good helmet doesn't cause pain and has a good view port, ride save out there.
How is this helmet with glasses???
tight but manageable
There’s something with the padding around the ear/audio area that catch the ear pieces and don’t let the sit properly. I fool around until it goes in properly. I wish Sedici would correct it. The problem has caused many to not buy the helmet. And, it fixable.
Thanks now show me how to re-insert the liner plz 😂
That lid is gonna be a flop, the drop down visor control is where most all com systems go. How did they screw that up???
Most current communicators use a hybrid boom microphone, meaning the boom mic is detached from the controller, and the base of the boom mic is mounted inside the helmet behind the left cheek pad. Additionally, the standard location for mounting a main controller is aft of the sun visor mechanism, so almost any Bluetooth communicator can be easily mounted on the Strada II. It even accommodates the popular Cardo PackTalk Slim, which only fits a limited number of helmets. -DrewZilla
Not bad...
🤔
Made in America?
I bought one of these and came here, then discovered Sedici which is owned by Cycle gear, is also owned by the same company that holds RevZilla.
Now I'm highly conflicted and am considering returning my helmet for a Shoei.
@@Leon-ql4qw I never did return my helmet, but professionally, it's irresponsible for RevZilla to advertise Sedici helmets if they're owned by the same people. It's not ethical and it's an obvious conflict of interest.
I haven't wrecked and honestly I think the helmet will be fine, but it's not right to advertise like this and pretend to be a third party reviewer.
@@OtherDalfite Revzilla openly states that they are partnered with Sedici and have direct input in their design. They've also rightfully criticized elements of Sedici they're not crazy about. What's unethical is making an accusation when you don't know what you're even critiquing. If you want an overpriced helmet that will offer no real safety benefit, go for it. Shoei and Arai are nice helmets, but they're value is based on features and fanboyism, not safety.
7:53 thaaaat looks like cheap EPS
I saw that too but the snell n ece rating makes that not so much of a worry for me
I thought cycle gear merging with RevZilla was good. Turns out it's just so they can push their Walmart in-store brands to more people. Kinda sucks hope it gets better, there is a bunch of new gear releasing and it seems like you guys are missing on those products.
We've carried helmet brands with affordable options for years, e.g. LS2, Bell, Scorpion, Icon, HJC, GMax, etc., and this new, improved Strada II model is as good as anything else at a ~$200 price. As someone who has been with RevZilla for a loooooong time, I was a bit skeptical too. It's natural, but I've been impressed with the new in-house design team. That's exactly how things get better. I really would encourage you too try this or the new Garda Jacket/Pants, Alexi 2 Mesh Jacket/Pants, etc. YKK zippers, CE Level 2 armor, lots of subtle reflective. It's all the stuff that we ask for from other brands. As for other products, we recently released videos on a lot of the new Klim, REV'IT!, Dainese, and TCX gear, and there's more to come through the spring. -DrewZilla
RevZilla these things are fine indeed....I’ve tried a number of them.....crash tested a few even...they do the job and they look good!

seems unfair to review your own house brand helmet
You know what's funny? I can't find any "sedici" helmets in Italy, I thought from the name they would be Italian but apparently not...
progste sedici and built are the cycle world brands. Built is garbage. Sedici is usually on par with a majorly budget alternative. Quality tends to not be good and a good warranty is used to compensate.
Would rather not deal with poor quality in safety gear.
@@zero11010 Definitely agree, warranty doesn't give me a new skull if this one breaks.
zero11010 It’s Bilt and Cycle Gear. But you are spot on, very basic gear that is barely good enough. Low quality craftsmanship with cheap materials that usually dont last more than a couple seasons. But they arent BAD, and if a new rider doesnt have much money, I’d rather see them kitted with Bilt or Sedici from head to toe than sneakers, MX gloves and a hoody

From my experience, most Sedici products are garbage. Especially the Strada II Helmet. I had one and it started falling a part after the first week. Exactly why they are low cost. Cause that shit will fall apart on you

It was only a matter of time before they started pushing that cycle gear crap.
It's a brand new design all designed in-house, so there's a lot of RevZilla influence in this helmet (and the rest of the new Sedici line).
