Nice video. One of the best ones i seen thus far explain Douglasville. I've been here for 5 years, originally from new York and he's not lying about southern hospitality. At first i thought people were trying to be smart but once i realized that i was in the south, i got use to it. Douglasville is one of the better places to live if your not trying to be crammed in the city, would recommended.
I never thought in my life that I’d see a UA-cam video recommending a move to Douglasville 😆! I grew up out here (age 6 - 18) so it’ll always hold a special place in my heart. The demographics certainly changed when additional homes were built in the years post-Hurricane Katrina, accommodating a lot of those displaced residents. “White flight” was a real phenomenon here, especially when you compare the 2000 & 2010 censuses. I very much doubt you’d see anything like a Costcos or Whole Foods added anytime soon, especially when a Dollar General was recently built in front of Chapel Hill Middle School.
I’m aggressively looking in the ATL area, today I live in South Florida and planning on relocating in June . Looking forward to connecting with you and your team to assist in my transition into Georgia great video fam
Costco would be nice, I shop at Sam’s now but once I went to Costco for the first time I didn’t look at Sam’s the same anymore. And a Whole Foods would be amazing.
@@MultiTommie Douglas County doesn't have the right demographics for Whole Foods, Costoco, anything like that. Over 50% of the county are renters, and there are not enough rooftops (single family homes) that are built and actually purchased instead of rented. The city has come out and said that we will probably never get anything like Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. Sandy Springs would be the place to go, they have Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Sprouts, Avenue East Cobb, and Morgan Falls Overlook Park that's right on the Chattahoochee River.
Awesome video. My family and I are planning to move Atlanta in the summer. My wife is actually interested in moving to Douglasville.Do you have any videos on the Atlanta job market and schools? What are good communities within Douglasville to move to?
I’m actually going to make a video talking about the top Douglasville neighborhoods, so stay in tune for that video. ua-cam.com/video/YXGe3b0l2fk/v-deo.htmlsi=VyrGll0lJbiUKPZY and this video is by far the most liked video on the channel that goes over the job market and Atlanta as a whole

Same here. I thought the southern hospitality thing was a myth until I experienced it for myself
I love to read comments like this. I’m leaving NYC soon and can’t wait to move to GA. Still undecided but Douglasville is at the top of my list

Thank you for reaching out to us! It’s really a pleasure to be working with such great people like yourself!
Cool. I like to see people skating info on their city.
Douglasville is 100% on the rise. Now that they added the Lionsgate studio, i wouldn't be surprised if it becomes more popular than Buckhead 🤷
Well just have to wait and see📈
🤣🤣🤣
Just wish douglasville ends up getting a costcos, bojangles, or whole foods. And more condos, and restaurants around the greystone amphitheatre.

@@atlhomeguide right. But you have any idea what's coming to Douglasville next.

I was born and raised in Douglasville in the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. I moved away in 1993. The Douglasville I left behind no longer exists.
Can anyone tell me if you have to drive through Atlanta to get to Douglasville ?
Do you guys have beaches, I live in Virginia that’s my future relocation States in a few years from now.
hell, nah, we good down here. Don't bring that BS.. already too much traffic just go to Cobb county
Lithia Springs is closer to everything
Sounds country, but thats cool.
Depending where at you live in Douglasville, it can get pretty country
