My Elwell heater is leaking anti freeze from underneath the 2023 Revel and I came across your awesome video. I haven't had a fuel pump issue but thanks for showing us how it's done. Cheers.
got the new pump today...I would not have had the confidence to do it myself without your helpful video...hat sweet smell of burning Diesel finally! thanks so much and safe travels!!!norm@@amandaandwhit
My Revel is about a year older and the fuel pump hasn’t failed, but since it has a Metal mounting bracket it made a Click, Click, Click noise while running. I had to put a rubber grommet on it to deaden the noise. If mine fails I’ll upgrade to the rubber holder like you have on the newer Revel.
Yeah it’s nice to have! The new fuel pump we put on wasn’t as loud as our old one that might be because it was struggling to pull fuel in too.. The guys at Elwell were great to work with too!
Hope I don't have to ever do this for the diesel pump on my '21 Revel's Timberline but bookmarking this for reference just in case - thanks for sharing. I did already have to replace my Timberline Binar 5 unit - Timberline warranted it as mine came from a bad batch that had gaskets that were too thin allowing the hydronic fluid to leak out. If the hydronic fluid gets too low as it did in mine, air bubbles in the exchangers can very negatively effect the system performance and can be so hard to get out that Timberline actually had to use an external Sureflo pump.
I hope you don’t have too either!! We just sent our fuel pump back so maybe they can tell us what happen with it. But so far it’s been working great we just got back from a skiing trip that we were in 18 degree weather and worked like a champ! 😊
@@amandaandwhit for your ski trip, curious what anti-gel diesel treatment you used and if you winterized your water system with RV anti-freeze or kept the water on for sink/showers etc.?
We go up north to Flagstaff which we fill up with there diesel and it’s treated for the cold weather. We also have diesel 911, just in cause. We don’t winterize our van because it doesn’t get that cold in Phoenix and when it gets close to 32 degrees we just plug in and turn the heat on plus opening the drawers to help to get heat where the sink is and so far that’s worked great for us.
Yah, most cold climate areas treat their diesel supply. Also, the coldest we’ve camped was 12 degrees in Yosemite, fully loaded. Kept heater at 62-65 degrees. No water or fitting issues. 😊🏕️
Great Job! I have a 2024 Revel and was getting a Code 14 error and a message on the panel, "Pump Short Circuit." In replacing the pump, which is in the bench cabinet I found that only one of the fans was working. Prior to the Code 14 errors I always thought the blower from the bottom of the bench was weak, now I know why.. Any fan issues?
So far the only issues we had was the fuel pump and once we fixed that it’s been working great! I would reach out to their team and see what they say, they were so helpful with us and getting it working correctly! Thanks for watching! 😊
Certified Mechanic made it easy when its lubed up lol good job you crack me up
