    To summarize the above:
    -Keep your feet properly stable.
    -Judge the incoming ball.
    -Do not do unnecessary movements.
    -Try to get under the ball (Get your feet and body there before the ball gets there)

    Thanks coach , I appreciate the efforts, I would wish to ask, how would balance my hands while setting, some times give off net balls or on net balls , am not so accurate.

    Laughed SO HARD at the last one, I’ve never seen the double arc, but looks insanely hilarious. But have commonly seen the prayer cock-back. Another bad passing habit: not even knowing the ball that landed quickly in your section (usually two feet from you) was even your ball. Beginners will think that something not entering their immediate sphere (or about to land on them) is not theirs.

    If I have trouble estimating flight path, especially short ones, what should I do?

      Try to read server’s or attacker’s hit and movement, if they slow down hand be ready for short ball👍

    Should you mostly use legs or arms to bump?

    I heavily disagree with the statement at 0:58 that this position is unstable. Having both feet like 1:01 actually allows you to shift your body around slightly in all 4 directions to make adjustments to the receive without compromising your stand. Give it an honest try, it's a very stable position to be in.

    when I make my platform to receive my elbows touch each other is that a problem. Should there be a little gap? All players I see have an opening, their elbows don't touch. I've been playing for 4 years and I'm good at it but my bums even when the ball falls on the perfect spot it goes in a different direction.

      Your platform is good👍 Elbows should touch ideally, straight hands with big platform and you create the best conditions fr bump. But platform is not enough😀 I will have soon detailed advice for you😉

    this isnt really about bumping but could anyone give me some tips on getting a underhand serve to the back row?

    • @VolleyCountrycom
      @VolleyCountrycom  Рік тому +1

      Underhand serve is good for very young players since they do not have enough power for normal serve👍 If you are 15+ practise and learn float serve😉

    How do you pass a ball that's coming in straight at your chest, fast and flat?

    • @VolleyCountrycom
      @VolleyCountrycom  Рік тому +3

      One step back and bump next your body or lower your knees and overhead pass (it can be bad touch)😀 Most important, no ace!
