So glad I watched this. I was building a tank Hunter and that’s not at all what I was going for lol but guy in comments is right. This is a ton of information all at once. I had to rewind a hundred times
Few days ago just watched the "Beginner guide" video and it's really helpful and everything explained in every detail. Now it's time for this video and of course will check others too. Just keep up bro ,BIG SUPPORT and thank you!✌️💪💪💪
thank you so much for the support! I just saw your other comment as well, so happy both videos were helpful. I just made this one as well that is kind of an extension of this armor video :P here it is : ua-cam.com/video/JTSUG-Lch7w/v-deo.html&ab_channel=OrdinarySense
It currently does both of those things, but not passively. It allows the use of mods that can cause both of those effects and many more. However, once lightfall comes out Feb 28th the affinity or elemental type will no longer be on armor. They are simplifying the system for the future. Hope this helps!
When you get to the powerful cap (only specific powerful drop rewards shown on the map will increase your power further AND you get some legendary armor with good spikey stats rolles in the areas you want for your build. Hope this helps some !
I can’t believe i’ve wasted money buying armor when it doesn’t even have a respectable power level. I never seen a game disrespect their fans this much
2 reasons. Firstly, you get +2 in each of the 6 stats. if you get +2 from all 5 armor pieces... then you get +10 for each attribute which is a free tier upgrade for all attributes. secondly, each lvl (1-10) you get through upgrading on your armor piece... you gain another "energy". mods require this energy. so it lets you use more mods. the energy is not used up, once you level up gear it will stay leveled forever. so getting lvl 10 (max) allows you to use the best combinations of mods. hope this helps!
Sorry but why should i upgrade my lvl gear if the stats dont change at any gear lvl? An helmet with 1350 power gear has the same stats if i upgrade him at 1590
correct. Mostly wont "upgrade" any gear until you are a much higher power level. It just costs upgrade modules for no real benefit. for this reason, keep legendary armor with high stat values... but mostly just wear blues until they stop increasing your power level. why? because blues have 5 base energy so they allow you to use mods still. hope this helps!
Just a very friendly suggestion, but maybe you could explain a bit, or just tell us why we should care or bother with elementals? As a new player it's one of the 1st things you notice, & yet nobody seems to want to talk about them, & I've heard that next season it won't matter anymore! Lmfao. I've searched high & low & I still can't find a definitive answer; do I match my armor to the enemy type? Does it better protect me against that type or give me more power against it? You were halfway into this video before you even mentioned them, so I'm confused how something can be everywhere in the Destiny world, but little is said about it? I'm just going to assume it better protects me, but you spit your amor set up between two elements, so what does that do? Thanks for the video!
it is going away in 3 weeks, as in no armor will have any elemental affinity tied to it anymore. so all armor will be 'type less' but.... think of it like this: there are 2 types of mods currently. The 1st mod type is "general" mods. These mods will be available on all armor pieces of the same type regardless of what element the armor is. so all helmets will have access to all mods of this type. The 2nd mod type is "elemental mods". these are only a few mods, but they can only be used on an armor piece of a particular type AND a specific elemental affinity. For example, there are 2 specific mods only available for a 'void' helmets. generally speaking you would look through the mod page and find the specific mods you want to help best with your build... and then you would use that elemental affinity in that slot. on your chest armor however, the elemental affinity determines what specific elemental damage reductions you can use. So a void chest armor would be able to equip a void damage reduction mod. 5:35 in the video for the explanation and a showing how to check the mod pages :)
@@OrdinarySense as a brand new player, it was helpful but your video kinda confused me in the beginning. The beginners guide started at like 2mins or so.
@@whysoserious9026 I appreciate the honest feedback! Its a hard thing for me to wrap my head around because i am a very details focused person... but in this case i believe i understand where i went wrong. I tired to include all info required to make a perfect armor set.. but in doing i state to much info to quickly and simply end up confusing people who are new to the game systems and how they function. in this, i should focus on building a decent set of armor that will serve as a learning platform.. but not any advanced details. the basics and how they function... then build on it in other videos later. things like advanced mods and "spikey" armor rolls.. do not matter that much for new players. Thank you very much for helping me get a better understanding of how to make videos for new players. I will make a truly beginner friendly guide in light fall for the new changes. I am sorry this video wasn't better able to help you, but i hope you have a wonderful day!
i believe you have to level up your "guardian rank". This can be found in the "journey" tab in your menus. i am unsure exactly what is required as experienced players started at rank 6 and cannot see the requirements for previous ranks
Dude, take a breath between sentences. That helps viewers to actually digest what they are hearing, without having to watch the video again or pausing constantly.
It's honestly impossible to find the right timing for everyone. If I talk too quickly I believe you can put playback speed to 0.75 or 0.50. Hope that helps!

Perfect video! Clear and straight the point. Thanks!
Does the affinity matter? Like does it mitigate damage of that element or boost that damage output? Or is it just different mods that are different?
It currently does both of those things, but not passively. It allows the use of mods that can cause both of those effects and many more.

Wait I bought a bunch of ornaments and I can’t find them, Do I need to be a certain level to unlock the thing that I bought?
How do you equip multiple exotics?
Cant. 1 exotic gun and 1 exotic armor piece :)
How do you get 100 in three stats? I only get it in two.
ye, when should we upgrade armor to masterwork to get more mods?

It’s called D2 Armour picker
