Hi! Excellent video! I'm indecisive in my choice for a summer jacket. I already have a Beta SV for winter, spring, autumn, with my Atom LT and AR and my Cerium LT. For the warmer temperature, I hesitate between the Gamma MX, the Gamma, the Sawyer, and the Beta LT. I'm just looking for a jacket to protect me from the rain in town and I'll have an umbrella.
Hi, I'll try to help you out a bit. The gamma MX and Sawyer are really nice, but they are much heavier I never wear mine in the warmer weather especially in summer. My go-to lightweight soft shell is the gamma lightweight. But if you really want rain protection, I would go with a beta lt. That's what I use in the summer as my rain jacket the gamma SL will give you some rain protection, but not as much as the beta lt hard shell. You may also consider the norvan, as it is a bit lighter than the beta lt it is mainly used as a trail running jacket, but it can absolutely be used every day. It has a smaller Hood than the beta lt as well
Really nice video. Very helpful. I recently got once for each but all hoodies. For Gamma MX, there wasn't black color available so I got the black Sawyer hoody instead. Then once they introduced the new Gamma MX color Yukon I bought that one. Both are as great as you talked about. 👍

Absolutely love my Gamma Mx. Been wearing it 10 months a year everyday for 4 years at work. I wash it 1-2 times a week. It still looks amazing!
I'm a big fan of the Gamma MX, but I must say that I like my Sawyer Hoody better.
@@meandmyjackets now that you’ve been wearing it for a while, do you still feel the same way? Has this become your go to where the MX used to be your go to?
@@zackwool Yes, I do wear the Sawyer more often now than the Gamma MX. I just like the look and feel of the sawyer better. Also, my MX is non hooded, which I like, because I don't need the large helmet compatible hood that the hooded MX has, so if I need a hood, the sawyer for me is better. Although, I think that the MX is better in the rain. And a side note, if I'm wearing black pants, I'll grab the dark red MX rather than the black Sawyer. Both are nice jackets, sawyer is more urban, MX is more mountain.

Part of me wants to rebuy the atom LT with no hood.
I have a couple jackets without the hood, and honestly, I often think that I just should have bought the hoody. I do have a few fleeces, and with those, I do have a couple with the hood, and a couple without the hood. I do like having a fleece or two without the hood, as I can wear them more around the house, or under another jacket that has a hood. so I don't always need two hoods. But in an insulated jacket, it's nice to have the hood when it's colder out. Just my opinion....
