    Hi mate, building one of these on my channel atm but really struggling to find the standard jet size for a 08 CBR 125 can’t read the one in my carb as it’s so badly deteriorated you wouldn’t know standard jet size would you mate?

    Hi Sparky, great video from You. Very helpfoul. But question to You: in my CBR I have to much fuel in mixture,. Should I do something with main jet?

    • @BikeMates
      @BikeMates  5 років тому

      Patryk Gadomski to much fuel in the mixture could be a number of problems, it could just need the mixture screw adjusting, maybe your air filter needs changing, could be the float level is wrong. The jets don’t normally need replacing but worth checking to see if they’re dirty.
      Hope this helps👍

      @@BikeMates Can You please tell me what is purpose for AIR VENT TUBE(Service manual page 5-5)? It is for the opening vacum valve in tank? In my bike it is missing co that's why, I'm asking.

    • @BikeMates
      @BikeMates  5 років тому

      Patryk Gadomski hi the tube which opens the fuel tap via vacuum comes from the engine block not the carb. The only air vent I can see is from the bottom of the tank which lets the tank breathe and wouldn’t matter if it was missing. Hope this helps

    what is the thing you put in at 11:40? and where do you put it? underneath the main jet or in the canal next to it? you didn't took this thing out when tearing the carburettor apart. my carburettor doesn't has this thing and i am concerned that my motorcycle tech missed it when he put it together last time.

    Hay man me again. Just a quick one is the float an adjustable one or a throw away and replace job?
    Also I bought the furl tap like I said I would and fitted it. But when I apply fuel the bike stutters. So this is why I'm thinking I've got to play about with the float level.

    • @BikeMates
      @BikeMates  4 роки тому

      leom mitchell hi the float is not adjustable so if you suspect it’s at fault you’ll need to replace it, I would also replace the needle valve at the same time.
