Oiy. Had to drive from Goldendale to Olympia and back yesterday for a doctor appt.... Started out in snow/ice, bad rain rest of the way, heavy rain in the dark coming home back to wet snow. So dang glad to get home!
I’m a 65 year old surfer alive by the grace of God. My big wave days have been over for 10 years or so. I like small days. Hey Michael! As a skier in the PNW- I very much appreciate your daily uploads/forecasting. I’m currently in the Timberline parking lot, in my van, drying out my gear from a VERY wet day! You were spot on the last 4-5 days. Lots of powder, a few sun breaks and (unfortunately) now r**n. But… I can get some things done around the house during this warm up! Keep up the great work. This was an interesting front, didn't get below 35.4 all night in Ephrata but once it started raining the temperature slowly dropped until mixed rain and snow then dropped to 32.9 and all snow in fact the ground is turning white so really glad to get the Tempest weather station because it showed that it really doesn't snow if the temperature is 35 degrees or warmer so it's nice to have a decent weather station Michael 😀 👍
You forgot to mention that we might be flirting with record high temps,once the wind shifts to S-SW and warmer air is advected inland.Record high at Sea-Tac for tomorrow is only 54.
Wednesday morning, last night was crazy in Gig Harbor! No big limbs down in our yard, no power loss, but I normally don’t hear the storms, and it awakened me. Something hitting the roof, maybe for cones.
So much for that big ridge the models were showing a week ago😆Just goes to show that even with our current weather forcasting technology the Pacific Ocean is a weather making beast.

Where the heck is La Niña at? Or at least the snow for lower elevations? This weather forecast has me bummed out because we usually always get a snow fall before Christmas to liven up the holiday mood.
