Yeah, that part in Sector 2 when you have to run and hide - it seiously scared the shit out of me back in the days, this is the best GBA game ever, had so much fun with this.
the big thing that made me wonder was this: during that final interaction of the queen metroid, samus, and the SA-X, what were the motives of SA-X? Was it the fact that it being a X, had a natural loathing of the metroid race, or was there perhaps something more noble at work? That maybe a bit of Samus's inner nature rubbed off on it? Or maybe it hated metroid just a little more than it hated Samus. *sigh* too hard to say. Ideas anyone?

I would love to see a full 3D animated sequence in Other M style, of SA-X chasing the real Samus in lowly-upgraded Fusion Suit. I want to see how vicious and aggressive the SA-X would be, chasing with all of the agility that Samus had in Metroid Other M.
It's such a trip watching it from being this horrifying presence in the game to something you almost take pity on as the instinctual fear and hatred of Metroids is clearly It's motivation
LOL I had a dream once when I was laying in bed then I heard the same footsteps the SA-X made and I looked and I saw him standing in my doorway. It scared me to death!
Man, the SA-X is more intimidating than Darth Vader. I love how it just walks casually around the ship searching for you. I'm glad they had it so it didn't make any noise, it adds to the creepiness that way.
The SA-X was just an X that mimicked samus. Remember that after the metroid vaccine, Samus was able to absord X in their gelatinous, non-mimicking form. That's why he was able to absorb the SA-X.
The SA-X made this game almost like a horror game, and it achieved the goal of terrifying and unnerving me more than Resident Evil or Dead Space has. Mostly because I never expected THIS in my Metroid experience. Not to mention that the game's only advice for you towards it, at first, is to "JUST RUN"
@4:00 Is anyone else aware that you don't actually NEED to alert the SA-X in that room? Jump in Ball form along the left wall, to reveal the path. It doesn't actually need the Power Bomb. Outside of the fight on the Operations Deck, the one right after the Auxiliary Power is turned on in Sector 2 is the only Unavoidable Contact with Samus-X. I don't count the Omega Metroid Fight, because there, it's not trying to kill you.

I'm suprised nobody has asked why the SA-X comes to your rescue at the final boss battle.
this game is amazing i beat it when i was like 8 lol and i still remember how fun it was! expecially the boss fights
To think metroid could bring you fear. I kinda wouldn't mind seeing a remake of fusion but at the same time I don't want the games image to be harmed
imagine if the sa-x had x-ray vision in the game. you'd be horrendously screwed.
the reason that the SA-X helps you at the end, is quite simply that X and metroids are enemies, if the X and metroids wern't enemies, the SA-X probably would have wasted you right then and there
This was a very helpful video. SA-X killed me easily so now I know how to escape
Sitting in my room then suddenly remember about the only time I got jump scared by a non horror video game and came here. Feels good seeing so many people are like me.
i feel you man, and the encounters with it .. suspense at its best !! :D
Damn, that's a deadly SA-Xophone...
Yeah, that part in Sector 2 when you have to run and hide - it seiously scared the shit out of me back in the days, this is the best GBA game ever, had so much fun with this.
This was my FAVORITE game as a kid. It was so creepy but awesome, SA-X always scared the fuck out of me.
The concept of this character is terrifying
the big thing that made me wonder was this: during that final interaction of the queen metroid, samus, and the SA-X, what were the motives of SA-X? Was it the fact that it being a X, had a natural loathing of the metroid race, or was there perhaps something more noble at work? That maybe a bit of Samus's inner nature rubbed off on it? Or maybe it hated metroid just a little more than it hated Samus. *sigh* too hard to say. Ideas anyone?
Those damn footsteps. Whenever I heard them my heart rate would increase because they freaked me out so much.
dudeee when i was kid i never finish this game cause i was scared of that samus clone.
and now years later is coming METROID DREAD, and this game is damn full of fucking invincible robots, well time to fight this time!
I love how all antagonists throughout the game always help/save samus at the end
Eh, the SA-X was only trying to take out the biggest threat in the station, the Omega Metroid. If it succeeded, it would've simply killed you after.
The chases always scared the shit out of me O_O
Just seeing it gave me chills, but when I reached the chase part, it simply scared the hell outta me
man the sector 2 encounter where you run from the sa x always scared me as a kid. it still does haha
It took me forever to figure put that SA-X is just Samus's initials put a test subject format look
SA X chasing Samus in the core = ultimate scary
S-AX gave his life at least samus aran has her regular suit back
Man, the SA-X is more intimidating than Darth Vader. I love how it just walks casually around the ship searching for you. I'm glad they had it so it didn't make any noise, it adds to the creepiness that way.
If the SA-X ran instead of walking, it would imply that Samus’s death wasn’t inevitable
Yeah, it's called the Screw Attack and you get it after you beat Ridley-X. Samus' version isn't green like the SA-X's, though.
so is samus-x is the early version of dark samus.
That scene at 5:11 was awesome. SA-X was blasting like a madman lol
I really really really miss that game!!!!! :(
The SA-X was just an X that mimicked samus. Remember that after the metroid vaccine, Samus was able to absord X in their gelatinous, non-mimicking form. That's why he was able to absorb the SA-X.
sa-x is helping her with the final boss just like the metroid in the mother brain battle in super metroid.
Everytime I play this I get so scared when I hear the music. GOD!
The first actual encounter scared me so much i had nightmares
The video is OK but is missing the part when Adam tells the reproduction mechanism of SA-X
This thing is the stuff of nightmares
Justo apenas UA-cam me lo recomendó 14 años después
Lol at the restricted scetor samus X is like PEWPEWPEW!
Can't believe how many times you were hit during all the s-x final battles especially at the end
