I loved this episode, Sarah. That area is totally transformed isn’t it? Absolutely wonderful planting. Those hellebores are gorgeous and I love the variegation on the fern. Thank you for sharing your garden journey with us ❤
Thank you so much, Clare. Really pleased you enjoyed it 😊💚 I am hoping this area will provide lots of winter interest to contrast with my spring border further down the garden. Big transformation coming at the back of the garden soon! The fruit cage arrives tomorrow! Sooo excited! 😃🎊 Have a lovely week 🪴💚
Hello Sarah and family Love your new shady border plants. They've still got to bulk up so you might not have room for many more. I like the fern and brunnera best. Yes, foxglove will be an ideal plant at the back of the border💯💕
Hi Sharon Yes, you are right. I imagine they might fill this space 🤞🏻 so if I want to plant more, it may have to be to the left of them. Thinking there may be room for another heuchera or two to sneak in though 😅 but will have to see how all of these do 🤞🏻🤞🏻🌿🌿 Hope you are well and thank you so much for taking the time to comment 😊🪴💚
Another area of your garden transformed! I am surprised by the number of different plants you can chose from for a shady border. I look forward to your updates to how these plants fair in that space. ♥
Thank you! Yes, really pleased with it 😊🌿 Yes, there are lots of plants happy in shade, like we see in woodlands around the country with all the snowdrops, bluebells etc etc. Can’t wait to see how this it all develops! 😊🪴💚
Gosh you’ve done so much work in the garden lately Love the way you’re cleared that corner and some beautiful perennials now in there! Absolutely love the Hellebores!! 😍😍
Yes, it’s all starting to come together! 🎊😍🪴So excited for the fruit cage arriving today! The hellebores are so lovely and it’s so nice to have some back in the garden again after the last ones were lost in the extension. Lots of winter interest! 😍
Hi Ady Yes, I expect I will. We had a whole patch of hellebores near the house before we had our extension, so I’m really happy to have them back in the garden again. Funny how one man’s weed is another’s treasure. I am like that with alkanet as it takes over my garden and I hate it, but some people love it and I know the bees certainly do.

Hi Sarah, that look's lovely, you should eventually get some nice sterile hybrids from those hellebore's.
They re actually a weed for me.

Loving the planting ideas Sarah, im about to move to a property where theyll be some shady areas, so this video was inspiring 😊
So pleased it’s been useful! I think shady gardens can be really magical if planted well! Look forward to seeing what you do with your new garden 😊🪴💚
