- It may not look bad, but I just got a ladder with levelers and the timing couldn't be more perfect. Pretty sure I wouldn't have got this install done without.

Love this tuff !! Good video man !!

is there a reason why you don't use those green connector plug things in those grey boxes when you do the splicing?
We are about to get the long jumpers and that will be the way going forward when we get them.
What kind of bag are you using to hold your splicer while up on the ladder?
It was part of the t49 splicer kit I bought, I cant seem to see anyone selling it by itself.
How's come the plant don't use corning pushlok or something similar thereof? Seems very cumbersome to have to splice like this at each endpoint.
Here in the Toledo area w/ at&t, their building out with pushlok. I want to say Buckeye Broadband has their plant like yours.
I see buckeye in Sandusky uses the push in style, but we call those MST connections. I have a couple videos of those on here. We only have a small area in 2 towns that way. The rest seems to be going aerial splice unless it's a new development with utilities already underground.
@@naturallyrootedgrowers Interesting! When they (Buckeye) first embarked on FTTH in the wealthier areas of NW Ohio, it was all splice without the MST. It sounds like maybe the newer plant builds are going to be equipped with that.
They're in the process of building the plant near me. They've got the fiber all lopped up on their CATV plant ready to be spliced out and lashed. In fact, in May, they started the process of running it behind my house but never lashed it and actually left a huge loop on the ground. This was back in May and they've yet to be back.
you was forgot the silicone tube😅
I actually made it back for this one, alot of others got forgotten.
@@naturallyrootedgrowers I hate forgetting my tools, and I usually forget some of them at the work place.
I don't know if it's just me but your voice is quite muffled and the external sounds are real loud. Every time you snip something it's super loud!
I enjoy your content though. Good to see how you do things over there.
Might be the camera. I think I need a fuzzy thing for the mic, but I drop the volume on some of the loud drilling or wind where I can.
@@naturallyrootedgrowersooh a dead cat for your mic! It's weird how it's picking up weird sounds from the environment but not your commentary. Technology hey! 😂
