Ah what a relaxing, chill episode where everyone makes it back to Ashen’s Rest and are happy and healthy. With a chill NPC chat with good friends next week.
Ahh! I've been missing this so much over Christmas and it's so great to be back in Altheya! I adore Mark letting the group discuss political implications while silently ~planning~ Hope we get more intrigue among the dragon courts :3
I've watched 17 hours of this channel in the last week, starting with the BG3 cast videos and then the Altheya series. Someday, I will actually catch up to the new episodes as they're released!
"they're more concerned with the consequences than the circumstances" is such a high wisdom line to explain judgement without context. I gotta remember that one.
What a ride this quest has been and it’s not even over yet lol the quest just got longer and it’s survive the next encounter. But for real, though, they definitely deserved getting yelled at for the letter that I agree with, but I suspect xan is about to get chewed out for something he couldn’t really control. Also, anyone else think that that prophecy is about xan? I suspect the robed man is likely the god from whom the crown steel comes from and he’s looking to take over xan and fulfill that prophecy
my theory is that any dragonborn with certain traits are unknowing candidates for the revival of Galdvisaar (spelling?) I think the certain traits are probably scale color? Xan is gold scaled and Eldrak is (i think) red scale so it might be affinity for fire.
@@captainenergon6579 that tracks, though xan's perlonged contact with crownsteel likly is what is allowing the connection to grow and strengthen, it was kind of surprising that the reclaimers didnt try to pursuade him to join them or at least capture him, but I suppose they didnt see his corruption untill the final battle.
@ i was gonna suggest exactly that, the reclaimers don’t know about him and those that did are all dead or incapacitated now. our sweet boy is flying under the radar ahahaha
Yeah, I agree that it’s probably a ploy of Galthazar (I think that’s his name, the big bad gold dragon boi) to take over someone’s body and come back from the dead. He probably planted the “prophecy”in religious doctrine, but it certainly doesn’t contain the home truth I think
Brilliant 😂 The crazy bastards are basically buried alive, unless there's another secret entrance or they think to try and swim out. Let's hope fate favours the party when Mark rolls to see what they do.
One of two things are gonna happen there the first is that Mark is going to say that the party along with his NPC’s completely forgot about them in that case after finding out they’re buried in there they’ll try to make it out the rivers and probably die, but maybe live? They will most certainly take some if not all of the Crown steel though or at least move it back in the water. The second thing which is a bit more reasonable would be to say that they did remember them because the characters wouldn’t have forgotten, especially the dragon since she wouldn’t want to hurt them by burying them like that. In this case, they need to find a way to either have brought them on the journey or found an excuse to release them. Likely they would have just released them since there were others in that village, who obviously knew what was going on, so it’s not like it was a big secret to the cultists.
LOL... There was a spot up the road from where I lived once, that made a roasted garlic bread loaf (with LARGE chunks of roasted garlic in it) that was absolutely delightful. No matter how hard I tried, that loaf NEVER survived till the next morning.
End of episode (I didn't take the time to jump in with comments, like I often do, and stick my foot in my mouth for what will happen 40 seconds to 10 minutes later) But, yes, Gruff is extremely fortunate no one read the letter before it was delivered.
Welcome back team! I hope Katie feels better asap and can be there for the next one, although... . . . . . . . Poor Katie may return only to be shouted at by an angry dragon and have Daisy pass out. Obsidius coming in hot with "know your place" made me want to slap a dragon, despite knowing exactly how poorly that would go for me, lol.
My initial reaction to obsiduas coming in like that was to be mad at him, but then I realized that he is 100% correct and the party should be admonished for what they did lol. Although one could argue that the honorable thing would be to tell the Duke as that would be the correct course of action but still, it was a poor way of doing so due to the vulnerability of the letter. If you factor in the Dukes temper about Crown steel it makes it worse though.
@@adamyoung976 I might not be remembering it, but when was it ever said to avoid speaking of crownsteel? It never seemed like it was a secret that there is crownsteel in ashenhills.
@ I believe it was mentioned that the existence of crown steel was not common knowledge and it's considered heretical to even speak of it but I could be wrong. I am not going to dive back through looking for it in the lore tho sorry.
Just here to confirm that I, a viewer and fan, am younger than both Ace Ventura movies. All you ancient beings may proceed to crumble into dust. That is all
Does anyone know the name of the song that starts @1:46:42? They used it a lot during the Aerois campaign as well but I've yet to figure out the name and the artist
Best case scenario for the party is that since everyone even the NPC’s forgot about them due to it having been weeks since the fight they would retcon and say they released them on the surface after taking their weapons since others had already escaped anyway, so it wouldn’t have mattered. Worst case they roll with the fact that they all forgot about them, and they either die in the vines because they couldn’t escape, they die in one of the rivers trying to escape the underground since it was collapsed, or they miraculously break their way out of the underground. In either case here though they would likely move the crown steel back into the water or take it with them when they leave.
Spoiler alert question about Percy Am I wrong or didn’t Percy have a short sword I remember Ophelia giving the whip to Percy but I could have sworn during the first couple episodes (during the mines) we were told Percy carried a short sword
I am disappointed they've moved onto the 2024 ruleset. Wizards has done plenty of shady stuff over the last few years from the OGL to the use of Ai art it doesn't sit right to carry on supporting them

i love just watching mark's little square of the video while they debate something, rolling dice every so often, looking so smug and satisfied...

I like how the gang just leaves all the cultists down there who are still very much alive lol.

So proud of our heroes for walking away from that tempting crown steel. Excellent episode. Feel better Katey
I've had a few days off work for Weather Reasons so this popped up at the perfect time lol

The elf bard reminds me of the elf minstrel the group's fellowship encountered in the LotR 5e one-shot.
I can't believe Altheyan Jesus died off screen!
