- Video explaining Alatreon's mechanics as well as some build ideas that I have successfully beaten him in solo, duo and multiplayer with randoms. With all the rewards showcased.
A good understanding on the fight really helps and allows you to plan a build in order to survive his escaton's judgement. It's best to make extra copies of the builds for different elements so you can easily switch if you're playing a melee class (depending on quest/group dynamics) otherwise LBG is equipped for anything!

I'm glad someone finally reminded people that the lunastra lbg has both fire and ice rapid fire.
I love this gun and i used the high-rank version of it pre-iceborne back in Kulve Taroth farming days for the 4th stage.
Jandabear Gaming this gun helped me so much as well with this fight until I obtained and upgraded to the alatreon dominator 😄

@@MarkusKhan_ Making a blight resistance charm helps a lot, or building up to 20 fire res, wind resistance is good too, she's got a REALLY powerful nova so flash pods and life powder are kind of a must, also good luck

Heres a few extra tips:
When he does the Cascading Lighting columns, you can roll between the hit boxes and rush straight for his head.
If you’re doing this with 1 or 2 players, make sure your Palico has the Vigorwasp Spray, because it can revive you once per quest.
Eat for different bonuses after you faint. Definitely get Safeguard at least once for another extra life. I go for felyne Rider, Felyne Riser Hi and Elemental Res Up (L) otherwise.
Felyne Riser Hi makes his double whammy charge combo MUCH easier to avoid. Id even say that not using it will cost you a cart even, since he’s got a terrible tendency to do this after the 2nd phase.
The horns are VERY frail. When he’s in dragon mode, make it your mission to only go for face and smorC him hardcore.
Blight Resistance Lvl 3 is not that hard to gem in. And there are level 4 decos that have this skill and another for better synergy based on your weapon type if you’re not using a Safi set.
Sushifish Scales work the same way as Astera Jerky, if you need more of them.....
And GO FOR HIS FORELEGS / ARMS. His head moves around way too much for consistent damage . Only go for his hindlegs if his lightning storms prove an issue, and his head when he’s writhing on the floor in pain or when in Dragon mode.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the sets you make, they really helped me out during the Basegame Archtempereds, so nowadays I usually go with meta sets your videos really helped me get into setbuilding in general because they can actually made by new commers that don't have all the equipment and decos a speedrunner would have.
Glad you like them! Just remember that in a game like monster hunter, the "meta" is whatever you decide it is and by that i mean you work best with builds that fit your play-style. The rng on jewels/decos is just too big to give out a set that will work for everyone so i hope you find something here that works for you 😃
Failed for over twelve hours over two days. Was waiting for one of your awesome guides, and now have a fighting chance. Can't wait to clear it and get access to the event quests and make the armor and weapons.

Good choice of weapons and if you like bow, his one is pretty amazing for dragon element. Granted that not many endgame monsters have a 3 star weakness to dragon but it is a very versatile bow for so many of them!
I haven't had a chance to actually fight Alatreon yet but I was worried based on all the comments I've seen online about the fight but, you make it seem pretty easy so I might just have to give it a try later. Thanks as always for the guides!
Like any monster they add, it's always hardest at the beginning. Stick with it and you will be dodging his attacks without thinking about them. He is more challenging than most of the monsters they have added in Iceborne but not the hardest in my experience. Everyone has a different struggle i guess. Good luck!

Nice attention to details when showcasing the HH ( played a song to show how the horn sounds) and the set itself ( showed it with and without pigments so you can see which parts can be dyed) . The LBG from Ala alone is almost enough to flinch him in a 4man hunt , however people are carting from the normal attacks too , so WR+Ala HH (ele dmg boost + ele effectiveness ) OR the Ala LBG + Safi set , are my set up- choices .
Glad the editing is appreciated as it takes a lot of time in "sony vegas pro 16". If anyone else has good editing software they recommend then i'd be interested in trying it out. Yeah his normal attacks can hit hard but personally i found it easy to evade him on LBG and as for DB's you just feel invincible. Love my HH's though and cant wait to share more builds for them!

It's helpful to be able to visualise what active state you are up against and what that means for your builds/weapon choice. I did think to tell players of the "carting method" but opted against it as i think he is very beatable with some proper build management and learning his attacks, not to mention it's a bad method if you intend to play with others. Congrats on your win regardless of how you achieved it :)

after beating him the first time i noticed his own LBG is incredibly powerful against him, with full safi beta set, if possible 3 recovery up, if not 2 levels of it, 3 levels of fire and ice attack, health boost, blight resistance (obviously), fortitude and weakness exploit added in i was able to solo him with it, of course make sure to give it the 2 levels of health regen for extra safety, felyne safeguard to restock when you die the first time without consequence and get that 1st fortify as well, and for escaton judgement astera jerky AND sushi fish scales if you have them (warning that it takes about 26 minutes like this but it's doable), oh also give your palico the meowlotov tools,oh and i almost forgot get the spare shot charm, it will be a huge difference in this

For soloing Alatreon takes a lot of practice and focus for its attacks. From ranging ice breath, fire beam, thunder strike, dragon goes boom, and oil spiting (his water attack contains oil that can be set off by his fire)
Its LBG is great since its has all the rapid elemental ammo, which you can use for each phase, and plus is an endurance test that makes you to go freaking nuts!
If Frozen Barioth comes out in August and the special assignment quest requires you to beat Alatreon first, that where you need to get your A-Game on set.
I'm looking forward to Frostfang Barioth! I don't personally think Alatreon will need to be defeated in order to try the Barioth as it's coming to us as an event quest. Should be fun regardless though!
Great video run down! After seeing videos of speed runs i didnt really understand what I was up against. This gives me hope for my average mh skills T^T
Glad I could help! Don't read too much into speed-runners as they can often set unrealistic expectations. What you also don't see with a speed-runner's upload is the countless times they failed or got bad times so had to re-run over and over again. I sometimes speed-run for my own entertainment but i put my energy into putting up builds that most players would enjoy.
Just soloed him with the cookie build with some modifications to fit my style, thanks for the help ^^

Thanks and nah i've just been very busy in real life between moving house and other things but hopefully i can get things on a more regular schedule. I was also stuck without internet for a while and the move was already planned before the pandemic hit so there was no turning back for me at that point.
I don’t remember how many times I died while trying multiplayer. Lastly decided to play solo and after 3rd attempt I finally killed it. So far got 2 more win from multiplayer. My favorite weapon is LBG. Emmm, look like a shaver 🤣

Thank goodness for an actual quality guide, this monster is kicking my butt only cause of Judgement. I've straight up run out of materials (for once) trying different weapons so I can meet the Dps check. I don't know if it's just me, but it feels like after you get that first dps check to pop getting that second one is significantly harder. I swear with lance I can get it in a few minutes easy but I don't see a second one it'll I'm 10+ minutes into the fight, long after it's first Judgement.
So far my best chance had been Lance, but holy poop it's like capcom hates anyone using a shield for its intended purpose. If you don't run max guard you may as well not even bother counter lancing let alone trying to counter claw. Everything eats an unholy amount of stamina otherwise, heck even with max guard it's still hellish to manage depending on the attack.
That LBG look's disgustingly powerful I can't wait to craft and max that.
Escatons Judgement isn't the best of mechanics they have decided to put in a MH game and yeah some weapons will undoubtedly struggle more than others. I do miss the times in monster hunter games where a hunt was challenging due to the monster and it's entire move-set rather than 1 mechanic/skill being the deciding factor but Capcom seem to want to go that way and i can live with it since the rest of the fight itself is fun. The LBG is totally worth it and you should aim to get it made asap. It will help with subsequent clears.
I've tried many weapons on him already and from my personal experience i prefer dodging him to blocking but i see no reason why all weapons wouldn't be able to clear this solo given the right build/practice to maximise dps for the check.
No kidding, I had quit playing mmo's in general cause endgame stuff like enrage timers/ dps checks just isn't fun to me. Behemoth I accepted cause mmo crossover what else was I supposed to expect, Safi it wasn't actually hard to hit the dps check so long as everyone stays fairly close and it was a brief moment to catch your breath and sharpen/heal, but alatreon is just straight up we took an mmo mechanic now die and/ or waste healing resources. At this rate I'd rather be forced to wait for a monster to wake up from a nap so i can fight it, ala rathalos from the very first first game, then this as type of mechanic. This fight is what makes it so bitter sweet, cause Aside Judgement, I love this fight and that one move is souring it something fierce for me though I'm sure once it get the elemental dps check down I'll be in the same boat.
I wouldn't be surprised if i can already make the LBG, I've failed for multiple days snagging what drops and parts the cat's stolen. I might just do that honestly.
Yeah like the past few dps check monsters it's just a matter of time before the majority of the community gets it down myself included. It's just a little jarring that safi was fun, and alatreon is souring at least for me at this moment.
I don't agree with Capcom having added this type of mechanic into the game as i believe it is artificial difficulty and easy to overcome when you know how. I sometimes miss the hunts of older MH games where the whole fight itself was challenging and didn't rely on cheap 1HKO mechanics. Other than this 1 thing that is holding players back from beating him, i think the fight is awesome and well done to Capcom. I think we are likely to see more mechanics like this added in the remaining updates the game has left along with any future MH console game coming out so we may as well make our peace with it 🤷♀️
If they Monster hunter-fied the mechanic I wouldn't be bothered by it. like If you have a lance/ HBG with 3-4 shield mods and guard up user everyone can Brace that hunter for less damage taken, gunlance/ HBG with 2 shield mods can be braced with two hunters and S&S/ HBG with 1 Shield mod can be braced with one other. It promotes teamwork, it would be less punishing for the team as a whole, and it would help counter not meeting the dps check in another way. It eventually wouldn't need to be said( they could even throw an ingame tip if you have those specific users in your party), like how even now with Judgement, mear days after alatreon, people will group up in pubs cause of health booster nothing said. I love this fight and i hate hating it cause of one bad mechanic. hopefully in the future they make it less horrible
I've been reading forums/reddit and the such and from what i can tell, generally the Japanese public have enjoyed this type of new mechanic so i don't know what that means going forward for the franchise. It is what it is unfortunately and it definitely is dividing opinion amongst the player-base.

I was struggling as I’m not even MR 100 yet so augmenting most of my gear is neigh impossible, but an Evasion DB build worked like a charm. You can’t die if you are in constant I-frame not to mention you are pumping out insane dps
Congrats on your win! I do feel though the MR requirement of only 24 on this is very misleading to players who might be newly joining Iceborne. Should have been at least MR100+
@@Jandabeargaming Yeah Alatreons base attacks hit like a goddamn freight train and he is pretty aggressive when you are trying to pop a flare for help, This might be my favorite incarnation of him though, totally a different fight from the OG from Tri on Wii, (RIP medium bowguns)
I just miss his old arena with the moonlit backdrop but otherwise he is implemented very well in MHW.

The Alatreon hunting horn is the best hunting horn for this quest, high raw, high element, Lots of purple sharpness, positive affinity, and all the elemental boost songs you could ever want.
A lot of Alatreon's weapons are best for hunting him but that won't help the players who need to beat him the first time around :) Once you beat him the first time, you should succeed more often there-after.

Save you safi materials for other weapons for now and when you beat this guy, craft his LBG instead, it's pretty awesome!
I use alatreon HH to make sure my team pass element dps check. It works well, usually topple him in 2-3 min mark. Long before he switch to dragon element. The problem then goes to survive his normal attack, you know, randoms.
HH being 1 of my main weapons i concur that it's completely awesome to support friends still struggling with this 👍
It was recently discovered by dataminers that the dps check is treated like status buildup, and he gains resistance after each one. So subsequent judgment weakenings are harder to reach. Fortunately working towards the buildup happens immediately after you trigger it, so it's not like you have to start all over again after he uses his nova.
It was also discovered that each weapon has a different modifier that contributes to this threshold. So in theory it should be balanced between all the weapons since the ones with better elemental attacks have to do more elemental damage, and weaker ones like GS and hammer need to do less elemental damage to trigger the DPS check.
In practice though I feel like they need to slightly tweak some of the values since for certain weapons it's just way too hard, even if you counter build and play well. It's just not consistent. I try DB (a weapon I barely play) and think he's super easy but then try gunlance (my second most used melee weapon) and can't clear the DPS check once.
If you're having trouble, use ICE or FIRE and make sure you break the head. Dragon has elemental hitzone values of ONE when he is in dragon and ice form, meaning your dragon damage will be reduced to 1% power. Fire and ice on the other hand do good damage even when he's in dragon form.
I know it's frustrating when you fail the dps check, but I feel like it's ok, personally. This guy should be super super hard because he's supposed to be a black dragon with the power to eradicate civilizations. By all means fighting him should be suicide lol
I would agree on that the elemental damage is indeed like a "bar" that you "fill up" in order to cause the stagger or horn break. This much is true. The only thing that does not add up for me and others i know would be dragon in his ice or dragon form only dealing 1% of the intended damage to his "bar". If that were the case then there would be pretty much zero chance of me soloing him on dragon based weapons (so far ive done it with DB's, HH, Longsword and Charge Blade) and weakening his judgement.
Without a doubt though getting that elemental dps threshold is easiest on fire and ice weapons depending on what active state he is in but some of the findings from these data-miners doesn't add up with my own experience. It is easier on some weapons that others so the info on some weapons having varying modifiers is up still up in the air unless we see some concrete evidence.
I think in a large part his difficult comes down to how players have been conditioned to fighting monsters up until now. Alatreon clearly shook things up a bit and the player-base along with it. All in all i can say that he is 100% soloable with any of the elements on his weakness chart that i show in the video. Best of luck guys and don't give up! It's a fun fight and it'll be interesting to see what monster they add next to upstage him (not including Frostfang).

The core skills for survival and dps are the same in that you should be looking to cap out elemental damage for your chosen element against him. Depending on if you are solo or with others speed eating with recovery up will top you off quickly. Wide range charm can be taken to support team mates. Blight resist can be a godsend here unless you want to rely on nulberries. Divine blessing can be helpful but not needed if you are good with timing attacks and blocking accordingly. These are some basic tips and the rest is just building sets around those core ideas.
Honestly for solo if you don't wanna worry about breaking horns using dragonbone weapons fully augmented for element with 1 augment for affinity you'll have like 900+ Dragon that's how I finely did it anyway.
Dragon weapons are more than capable of killing him although there seems to be some bad info out there and people think it's impossible or the horns must be broken, both of which are wrong of course. Well done on your win :)

A good counter build is 3 pieces of Safi + 2 pieces of Golden Rathian + Kjarr Ice Dual Blades. That's how I defeated him the first time

My experience Wednesday Night/Thursday morning was awful. So many carts lol 😂 but we were trying to brute force it with Blast weapons. Using the Kjarr Ice proved to be the deciding factor lol 😂 very fun fight
Congrats on your win and please help spread the advice that going in with blast/raw weapons is just asking to be spanked by his ultimate 😂
This is the encounter that beat me. At this point, I am absolutely done with this fight. I got the fully upgraded LBG without ever killing it so I at least got a reward for the tries. I hope you all have better luck than me, and I hope you find it enjoyable. I don't even have that many complaints, it's a decent fight, but the standard attacks were a little too much even for my fully augmented/upgraded armor.
Don’t you have to kill him to unlock the weapons?
You only need the materials to craft the armors but i don't know about the weapons. You do need to beat him in order to unlock his pendant though.
@Emiroma: Give him a try using my LBG build with the one you crafted from him and you might get a decent result. Good luck if you try him again and take breaks between several runs/attempts or it can get to you.
@@SeppukuAddict You can somehow get the jewel from breaking horns (I think that's the requirement, as I got 2 in my runs with randoms where these guys were breaking them) and the other materials are one wing and scales/talons (those can drop from knockdowns and so on, but talons take too many attempts because the chances seem to be fairly low).
@@Jandabeargaming I definitely did a lot better with a similar build with the new bowgun (no release/vitality jewels, so I'm a little behind on dps though) and I'm clearing the nova very consistently. I think I just need to get better at dodging the water and ice moves. I feel I'm getting closer.

Will definitely try that LBG though. Went into the Assignment with the Frostshot, but that thing was useless if the horn didn't break.
Yeah it's definitely better going in with the more versatile "Blaze" and once you beat him craft Alatreon's LBG instead to have access to all elements rapid-fire.

You're welcome for the video. As for the "glitch" in my thousands of hours and so many of them on my Bowguns (both HBG and LBG) which are some of my main weapons i can't say i've ever come across such a bug. I will however say that there is a difference in the timing of the "tics" as they are known for when a bullet passes through a monster part and depending on how Capcom have created the hitboxes for the skeleton it could come across as power-barrel not working as intended. This is made all the harder to detect if the monster is moving and flailing around. I wouldn't pay much heed to such rumours unless someone can provide me with solid video evidence, i'll just put it down to user error.

It's a fairly safe way to go and i've done runs with all 4 players having LBG's. Needless to say we absolutely decimated him 🤣
The biggest problem I have as a GS user is dealing damage without being caught up in an attack; GS is naturally very slow. This is more of a problem when I try to solo. I have fought him off with a group of randos.
The problem is, I don’t really have much experience with other weapons and dodging/evading in this game doesn’t make much sense to me. I can’t figure out the exact moment one is supposed to dodge.

It's not the escaton judgement system that annoys me, but the amount of material grinding you have to do for augmentations and mods to be reliable efficient.

Are you sure you are dealing enough damage with the correct elements to weaken his judgement? Watch the video at this point and look at what i zoom into with the handler talking to me 0:33 This lets you know he was weakened in time before judgement is due to go off.
I'm still trying to get this complete.
Keep at him. Once you know what move he is throwing your way it becomes easier to find your windows of attack to meet the elemental dps checks. Good luck and take your time.

When you were firing the flaming & freeze ammo you were able to fire 4 times before reload. For me it's only 3. How do you add the extra shot?
"Ammo-up" skill to increase the clip size and "Spare-shot" skill to give a chance for ammo not to be consumed meaning less reloads.
This is a good guide. Too bad I suck so bad trying to fight it. I tried different builds and I just lack the skill to ever beat it. I guess I have to be okay with that.
Did you solo it with the blaze lbg? I found that lance is good element but i think laks raw i lockd him 3 times and broke both horns 20min in and he was still alive then i mesd up i carted thinking he was in ice mode came with fire and couldn't lock him up and nova time
Yes i've soloed him several times on LBG already and the "Blaze" made it really easy with the dual elements to meet his weakeness every time and then i went ahead and made Alatreon's LBG which has all elements on rapid-fire.
What's the best alternative armour for the LBG build? I don't have Safi stuff.
I'm dropping a video later today showing Alatreon's LBG but there are several builds within the video so you can pick one from there and use it with the "blaze". Keep your eyes peeled on the the channel!
How are you able to clutch claw onto him without getting thrown off? I need the temporal mantle for that and even with it I rarely get to stay on.
Certain attacks he does give more opportunity for larger clutch windows than others. The more you clutch him the more you will learn which ones give the best chance.
I've been trying so many different ice builds but sometimes I just can't hit that dps check. :')
Personally I'm not too comfortable with dual blades and I can't fight Lunastra so back to the drawing board to me. Gonna keep trying with my sucky insect glaive builds lol.

@@Jandabeargaming her blastscourge is my big bad. If I make my own builds I like to always have health boost 3, free meal secret and gobbler these days. I fell in love with kulve taroths gear after the event and is finding it hard to change to anything else. I'm not exactly the best at avoiding attacks even though I mostly play Insect Glaive so I tend to rely on the seemingly endless healing items with free meal secret. Other than those I usually try to max attack and/or critical. I find it hard to fit in anti blastscourge in my builds basically. I tend to rely on other people's builds honestly because the ones I make just arent very fun but at the same time I'm too much of a coward to make something different.
If you really enjoy the build you run then i suggest taking glider mantle and putting anti-blast jewels in it and as your 2nd tool take the fire-proof mantle which has anti-blast built into it. They should both be up most of the time if you switch between them as 1 runs out and blastscourge should be less of an issue for you. Also use my astera jerky method to heal through the super nova. You should beat her no problem with a bit of practice after that.

Hey mimikins my wife is having problems with beating the special assignment of alatreon i have tried to help her with it so many times but with no success i have even played on her account to help her out but still no luck we play on xbox though. I would like your opinion on her build for alatreon if you dont mind and also she doesnt have that many decos as well.
You would need to share your build/weapon/decos etc with me either in the comments here or via a link to an image upload site so i can give advice.
I've been at this for 3 days straight and i still haven't completed the special assignment once in solo or multiplayer i keep getting teams that just dont do enough elemental dmg and the fact that i play gs dosen't help. I've done the quest so many times if it wasn't for the wings i could make multiple full sets of alatreon armor just from plunder blade
GS isn't perhapsd the most friendly weapon on this hunt but the elemental damage values were modified for this quest specifically by Capcom so you shouldn't be at a disadvantage. Make sure your Gs is of high elemental value and also i woudl suggest playing with a "Critical Draw"+"Quick Sheathe" build which is what i do on my GS for faster moving monsters that lets me line up powerful draw attacks. You won't always get the chance to pull of a true charge slash combo without abundant slinger ammo reliance.
I'm trying to solo Alatreon but I don't know how to prevent it from changing element after I've broken both horns, can someone tell me what to do then?
You don't need to break horns to weaken the judgement but if you are soloing it then go with the stronger elemental option (ice is a good choice). Only break 1 horn per judgement so as to space it out and even after both horns are done you will still have plenty feints to fall back on and you should get it killed. Equipping fortify and eating for "Felyne Insurance" will serve to increase the lives you have to kill it. Good luck!
Wouldn't using Furor to get resentment be better than blaze jewels as it give a boost to raw damage as well since Safi Jiva armor keeps you in red?
I'm assuming you are referring to the LBG set as i had a resentment build for the melee sets already. Personally i would not recommend using resentment jewels over elemental as the dps check itself relies purely on amount of elemental damage dealt. Raw only contributes to bringing his HP down whereas elemental is for both the checks and killing it. You could add in resentment into the glider mantle instead if you wanted but keeping up maximum element is truly key to this.

If you have access to Alatreon's LBG then you should definitely go for that but if you are not used to playing with the weapon then i suggest taking a look at some of my other LBG videos to get some understanding on "Gun-mods" otherwise you will have bad times. The melee builds are pretty durable though if you are struggling.

I had this problem also with randoms joining with raw or blast weapons thanks to some UA-camrs out there giving poor advice and not having the decency to retract it.

for Multiplayer, Duo is the best. 4 players is dangerous only if u play with peoples that know Alatreon moveset and have the right weapon elements. sigh... the first day of Alatreon is hell
The first day is indeed the worst! If it's not you carting yourself then it's someone else. Firing an SOS on day 1 is basically asking the "quest failed" screen to rear it's ugly head. I found more players to be knowledgeable after the assignment quest was beaten. Success rates definitely took an increase at that point although there is the random run where someone isn't paying attention.

How much does the build matter?, I have the element freed up to 100% but I just can't seem to "contain", Not once has the handler told me im "doing a good job" i'm at the point where I find furious rajang easy compared to this. I can see you're doing way more damage than me on the dummy but that hasn't stopped me before. Frustrated dual blade user here. Like I just wanna know ifr im wasting my time, cuz I lack a lot of decoations and if I just have to farm those to win i'll do that. Also I wanna make claer im just asking, im not salty or anythintg towards this guide, it's good. There are just some things this game struggles with when it comes to handing out information in my opinion, so please don't take it like that.
IF anyone is wondering, yes this fight is just a gear and build check, nothing else.

Just to confirm that for you, yes it can. Already done solo by myself and several others using various dragon based weapons.

Takes a lot longer and you risk carting if you don't keep up DPS relentlessly but it's doable although i'd recommend going in with a more powerful element.
What augments do you have on the lbg?
Augments used were shown in the video here at 2:35 which are health regen and element increase.
Is there other LBG that have elemnt fire and ice than safi LBG ?
The one used in this video is the Lunastra weapon tree. It's not a Safi weapon so you can craft it any time you have farmed luna.
Does dragon element work on decreasing his ecaton judgment?
All elements work on on him so long as you are getting the message from the handler to say he was weakened like i show in the video. Check the chart in the video to see which element is most potent depending on his active states.

Depending on your weapon of choice, "Evasion Window" can be awesome. Once you have learned his moves and can dodge without thinking on it much then you should replace it with more DPS or a utility skill of another nature. Congrats on your win :)

The LS is nice but many of his weapons actually are worth making. The LBG is awesome!
If you want a dragon build his weapons are definitely the way to go with safi armor imo I used kulve weapons for the crit status before but alatreon beats it by a little and all the purple sharpness is nice the armor tho was a bit of a let down
I think the armor has potential to be used in some interesting ways although ofcourse the Safi set is pretty awesome but it kills creativity for making builds. I will be toying with the armors to see what i can come up with and i'll be sure to share it with you guys :) It's not always about the "meta".

Are you making sure to get the message from the handler by weakening him in time for every nova? As shown here what the handler says 0:35

From yours. Ask lbg From set the works is almost all element and one defence in augment?
Make sure to DPS nonstop. Don't try to aim for his horns or tail only. Fire at him without trying to line up perfect shots. You will meet the dps check if you follow that method and make sure your elemental damage is capped like i showed in video.
I've watched many of your vids. I should have subscribed a long time ago. I will try this out. Switchaxe is to slow. I get punished before I can get my weapon put away. I'm like 0-50 fighting this monster...smh.
Switchaxe is a good weapon for this fight (it's 1 of my favorites) but i agree that it's a cumbersome weapon to use without some key skill changes. Putting your weapon away is a problem if you don't build around things like "evade extender" to help close gaps and pairing it with "evade window" for survivability. Give these builds a try first before deciding on what to modify within them to suite your own needs and good luck! 😃
