Honestly, It depends on how detailed you want the model and what references you’re using. I tend to do modeling based off from 2d shapes for low-poly characters and then I’ll use 3D shape-editing for high-poly characters. Sometimes I’ll even do a model of the right sides and left sides separately and then rotate and use the symmetrize function for a cleaner result. I love this model by the way. Good job creating it!

Sir really great. I am just trying to make a character and I thought head is very very very complicated part. bro ,i have one issue in sculpting please help me . my sculpting brush is not appear in my edited shape but appear in all other new polygon primitive. how i bring brush on my edited poly. please help.😢
I really don't understand how you keep the mirrored face symmetrical! I've tried everything and turning symmetry on still does nothing for me. Centering pivot...baking pivot... Manually moving the pivot, deleting history... Nothing seems to work. I can't get it to how you get it whenever you start working on faces or brushes that whatever you're hovering over is showing on the other half of the face, for me it shows like on the side of the face. It's absolutely offset.
Its always better make the characters in zbrush or any sculpt software, you can see proportions, and add details that is harder to add in a poly modeling way. Then, you can just make the retopology without loosing the shape of the character. Actually, its the real character workflow, this way its harder and limitate the development of your character. Thank you for the video, its very helpful for beginners, you really use the main tools of maya for making anything
@@IrisOgli .... My professor shared this with the class. I'm absolutely baffled by the logic here. Cause there's not subtitles either. I know I'm supposed to pay attention to their method but a bit of audio or subtitles wouldn't kill them.
