I appreciate the honesty of this channel in saying the smalles teardrops are 'barely' affordable, because it's true. I think the best route for budget-constrained people wanting a mini-teardrop is to build a foamie, but in order to do that you need a garage or other work space, tools, and materials
I'm just started looking for an inexpensive small light camper. The lowest price for a decent camper I have come across so far is over $5K. THats new, I don't really want a used camper so I don't know those prices. After looking over the last month or so I have come to the conclusion that the best option would actually be to build your own camper. I'm almost sure that's the way I'm going. I have one diy video where they call it a foamy which is really light and the cost is basiclly however much you put into it. The video I saved advises they got it all put together for around $1500 to $2,000.
The cheapest teardrop camper offers an excellent way to enjoy the great outdoors without breaking the bank. Its budget-friendly price tag doesn't compromise on comfort, making it a perfect choice for cost-conscious adventurers.
I would love to know the actual cost of the product. Like we make it for 1600 and we sell it for 6,999. I have not seen an affordable barebones camper yet.
I might be able to help with that I could make a galvanized steel one 58 inches wide about 10 foot long almost 5 foot tall shell rest would be your build
I built mine for $4,900 at 690 lbs. Materials: aluminum trailer, carbon fiber, fiberglass and wood. Size 5x8. It is well insulated. And some of these are not.
I plan on getting one of these. Im going to saw a whole in the bottom and fasten a bucket with a toilet seat on it over the whole and maybe a privacy curtain. Which trailer is the best for doing this to?
Costs during/after trips are much more important. My 7 week coast to coast teardrop tour of 21 states pocketed us @$5k. No motels/restaurants, plenty of tent camp sites. I save big time on outdoor camping trips, near / far.
Reading the comments, I see that a lot of folks are complaining that a $5K trailer is not affordable. Maybe they should be looking at tents or waiting a few years until they have a better handle on their financial situation?
you can get a pretty good 4 person room tent, for over 100 dollars, and actually be able to stand up. These things are like tiny box's, your basically paying 5k to have a bed in a trailer and having to tow it.
Out of my price range, also i have a Honda CR-V with a towing capacity of 1500 lbs. So not being very handy in making it sutible for me, not so sure. I don't need much, I'm single and don't need a queen size bed. So what would bey options?
Would there be anyone interested in galvanized steel shells for their builds can make 58 inches wide by almost 10 foot long 5 foot tall they can be built very quickly
@@hellomjb not really sure would need dimensions and a rough sketch what you are looking for would just be a shell would have to cut doors and windows in yourself
Instead of calling them, "cheap," you should say, "Inexpensive." I'm surprised you didn't add the Road Toad in your list. My Mini Camper seems like a good buy, buy after looking at the reviews, there are have some delivery issues by the company.
This is very very true...I waited 20 months with very little correspondence from them regarding expected ETA. It was only after I asked about refunding my $ (after a promise date of Feb 2022 and delivery finally happening on Dec 2022) did I get a response. Although a very nice man I was very frustrated.
Most all of these trailers not coming with ATLEAST 200-300 watts of solar already mounted on top and wired to the inside is ridiculous. Very few people these days wouldn't want and need that. And stop using wood. It saves weight and potential future rot from condensation created by just breathing in them.
The accent and somewhat strange intonation is just because English is not the narrator’s first language…. You honestly think this is an AI voice? It IS a real person. 😂
Would you stop belittling someone who is just trying to give us some advice, because he's speaking in a second language 🤦🏽 So, how many languages do you speak? Judging by the narrator's accent, I would bet he speaks at least three, and wouldn't be surprised to hear that he speaks five or more.

Think buying a inclose trailer and build it into a camper would be a better option

seems like cheap is only a relative term these days

So cute 🥰 little trailers could anyone live in them😊
Going to put a cardboard refrigerator box on wheels and have at it. Waterproof it with Saran wrap.

Some of these are really heavy for being so small 😢
On your #4 Camper where do you mount a TV.????.😮

Try looking for teardrops designed for being pulled by motorcycles or ebicycles? They're small and light but some are pretty cool!

I need a trailer 40 inches wide with the wheels underneath so I can chill with my motorcycle and go camping in Rocky Mountain State Park

without any insulation these trailers would be bitter in a northern winter
I have a cubic mini Woodstove to use .... that would be my 1st day addon
How much is it?
I want more 👍🏾
Thanks
Even with inflation, some of these are still affordable and very light weight. Looking forward to part II. Nice job on Part 1. Thank you!

Give me more.
Can't listen to the voice. Gave up.
But a Teardrop with no accessories, or buy a house?
💪🏻😮👍🏻
Cost more than wallet has .. & these trailers are way to heavy ! Nope not one of them meets my budget & weight needs !
I can’t even watch this because of the robotic voice
Yeah, and why would someone need a camper to cry in? They are babies and should grow up.

Would you get a REAL PERSON to narrate your videos 🤦♀️

Oh that looks so f****** comfortable
You’re better off buying a van and put a mattress in it. That’s all these are a bed in a box.
Not even a kitchen.
Agree, but then the van has to be your main vehicle unless you have two.
