- This video will show how to reset and fix the 58v battery by Jonsered or Husqvarna or PoulanPro. If you receive the red error LED or similar error codes you may be able to reset the battery as shown unless it's a catastrophic error.
Jonsered no longer makes these products. You can search for Husqvarna to find the products under the new name.
The replacement battery for 140Li is the PoulanPro PR140Li. I bought the replacement from eBay before I was able to fix my batteries. - Навчання та стиль
THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! I have 7 batteries and only one worked. Looked for months trying to fix it or get it fixed, but no luck. Purchased a couple of replacement batteries on Ebay two years ago for $59, now there selling for $100-$125. Came across this article, tried it and so far 4 are working. Still have 2 batteries to go. Again my friend, Thank You!!!
YOU ARE A GENIUS!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!! Mine is charging now!!!🎉I truly appreciate you sharing the solution to your (and our) frustration with this battery!! My husband LOVES this blower and was so upset when he saw the “red light” and the cost of the battery (from an unknown seller) at almost the same cost of the original blower kit!! He is going to be so excited!!😅😊 Thanks again!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! You're awesome. My battery is charging now
I spent days looking for a replacement battery and found this video
This s crazy good best instructional video I have ever seen!!!
Thank you so much! I already threw out one of my Jonsered batteries before and replaced it with a Poulon Pro one. Then today my other Jonsered battery did this, and your solution worked! Wish I still had my old one but that was before this video was out. You rock!
Thank you, friend!!! I have a trimer and blower that I bought from Costco 3 or 4 years ago. Same problem. Error that I was able to reset the way you explained here. Thank you. You help so many of us. God Bless you!!! ❤
Thank you! I have a McCulloch lawnmover with this same 58V battery system. And the red light problem😒 As soon I go home from work I will test this solution👌
Unfortunately this tip did not work with my broken mcculloch battery...
Thanks so much for taking the time to do this for the rest of us. As others, I had threw out the Jonsered battery and replaced with a Snapper. It went bad too. I haven't checked how well it holds a charge yet but it is now green and charging. It is great that you give back to the community with your knowledge and time. I occasionally make you tube videos too when I figure something out. I get so much from this medium.
My pleasure. That is exactly why I posted it. I went through a lot myself with many fixes so now I share them to help others. I have many more but no time to edit and share!
I tried your method and it did not work for me. But I just held down the button for several minutes while not in the charger and it brought it back to life. Thank you so much for the time that you put into this. I wish I had seen this last year before tossing my other battery away.
How many minutes did you hold it down for? I have two batteries and his method didn't work on mine, unfortunately.
Excellent advice. The test button is in a different spot on a Poulan 58V battery but, once you find it (in the center) the technique works just as well.
Thanks for sharing
A few months ago my former neighbor gave me two of these with charger and they worked great and now they won’t charge. I found your video and neither would reset and charge. I used a can of compressed air some wipes and cleaned all contact points. Still no luck.
So I switched the batteries to opposite chargers. Did the reset And finally got both batteries to recharging again. Thanks you saved me $170.00
What do you mean, opposite charges
@@dannytippetts6671 switched the chargers they were setting in.
I only have one charger@@thrillbilly6147
Thank you for making this video! Just saved my afternoon!!
Thanks for sharing, was able to get my father in laws back charging, even fixed it to where it would stay on high speed for a while…before it quit would only work on high 30-40 seconds
Just had a snapper battery with this same issue. Saw your video and I’ll be ……this worked. Thank you. Saved me from having to buy a new battery too soon.
Great to hear
Thanks for the tip I bought mine exactly like yours but working for 50$ two years ago and they work great. But should I have any errors I now know what to do thank you that's a great tip.
Thak you, resetting worked for me, this is a great help
Thanks, you saved me 100 bucks!
Man, thanks! Avoided buying another one, but I wanted another one as it is so thanks for that info as well!
Awesome
Thank you, you are awesome, I spend almost 2 months contacting dealers, with no use. It worked with this reset
Awesome.
Thank you, worked perfectly
This worked for me. Thank you Sir!!
Worked on my Poulan Pro battery
🎉it really was that easy!! Thanks for sharing 😊
Just did something similar with my Husqvarna Bli20, than you. I had disconnect the charger aswell for about a minute.
Thank you. Works for me
Thank you SO much for this!
Thank you so much!
Thank you!
Danke, es funktioniert 🎉
This worked!
This worked thank goodness. I tried to buy a replacement and it was never delivered. Do you have the name of the off-brand battery you bought? I would like to have a backup. Thank you again.
Great to hear. This was the exact replacement battery I got: POULAN PRO PR140Li
My battery is fully charged but getting red lights on battery and charger. Nothing here has helped, any suggestions?? Thank you!!
Use a voltmeter to check the battery voltage and that it's not too low. It shouldn't be more than a few volts off
Did not work . Red light came on then went out but did not reset and start charging
Something permanent could be the problem. Either cell voltage too low or possibly a temperature sensor bad or something else. Take it apart carefully and just look for visual signs of a problem. Be careful though not to accidentally short anything on the circuit board. They're not easy to repair but if a visual reveals something that may help. You can also check the fuse for continuity.
I have two of this. Your method didn't work for me. Can the charger be the one bad? If so, any way to check?
Shall I assume it turns on and just give you the red exclamation mark when the battery is installed?
@@practicalthings Correct. red light on battery went off just like yours but green doesn't come out.
@@hg2305 If the battery completely drained you may need to jump start the battery to charge it a little bit directly. Try measuring the voltage with a volt meter and see how much you read. If it's too low then it will not charge anyway.
Lol a lot of technical preamble for pressing a button
