      @jpdj2715 Рік тому

Yamaha is the Toyota of instruments? Most, and if not all most definitely the best ones, of the engines made by Toyota, have been designed by Yamaha. I would not say that Yamaha needs Bösendorfer to improve their pianos. But, the acquisition gave access to Bösendorfer's specific production techniques as well as their knowledge of which woods to buy where. In the same way, Yamaha did not need to buy Selmer Paris for them to design and produce great saxophones. The reason the grand pianos in the famous concert halls of the world have all been (Hamburg) Steinways, or at least these halls had a Steinway D available, is because the artist agency that had all the important pianists under contract was owned by Steinway and the pianists had a contractual obligation to in public play Steinway only. You'll see that in recent years, at the Polish annual best Chopin pianist "games" there now is a choice and 50% may go Steinway, while the others chose Fagioli or Kawai.
The famous Austrian piano brand is called Bösendorfer and in that registered trade name the ö is short notation for "oe", so if you don't know how to get the ö in typing, then you can replace it by "oe" - in the German language, in correct computer implementations, the ö and oe are sort-ordered as equals. The same applies to ä/ae and ü/ue.

Here are some historical stories about the famous Yamaha in Japan!
    History of Yamaha
First, Yamaha repaired imported pianos and then made musical instruments.
The company started out repairing imported pianos, and then started making musical instruments, and then started making electronic musical instruments, and then started making DSP.
Then, in order to use DSP for other purposes, Yamaha started to make routers.
In this way, Yamaha began to make musical instruments, electronic devices, and network-related products.
Then, why do I make motors, furniture, and so on?
Piano repairing gave him expertise in woodworking, which he used to make furniture, which he then used to make housing equipment.
During the war, the military said, "You make furniture, so you can make wooden propellers," so they made propellers for fighter planes, which led to the production of engines.
We made engines, so we will make motorcycles.
Since we make engines, we also make boats, and FRP is used to make the hulls.
Using FRP, make a waterslide, and then a swimming pool.
The water in the pool became muddy, so we made a water purifier.
Water purifier was a failure, and algae grew profusely → Started algae cultivation → Bio-enterprise
As a result of Yamaha's continuous efforts to turn every possible success and failure into a new business, the word "Yamaha" conjures up images of all kinds of products, and this has led to a phenomenon where people have lost track of what kind of company Yamaha is.

The 1LR-GUE V10 in the LFA was not solely built by Yamaha. It was a collaboration with Toyota. The creation of the V10 was lead by Lexus' chief engine designer Okamoto Takamitsu.
The engine starts life at Toyota's Myochi plant. It is at this plant that the engine block is made from molted aluminium. The block is then sent to Toyota's Honsha factory. The same factory that used to be Toyota's F1 engine facility. The block will get milled, drilled and polished and emerges as a precise engine block. In a sealed room Takumi’s hone every sharp edge using precision polishing tools. After this a highly skilled Takumi pre-assembles the finished engine blocks to check if they fit precisely. Disassembled they travel as unit to Yamaha’s Iwata city plant. It is at this plant that 4 highly skilled Yamaha Takumi’s fully assemble V10. A process that takes 2,5 days for one engine. Before the engine gets put into an LFA, it undergoes a half day of exhaustive testing. Everything mentioned here was documented on episode of "Mega Factory" by NA- GEO. You can find it here.

When you first showed the first generation Ford Taurus SHO, you inadvertently identified it as having 356 horsepower. Only the EcoBoost produced that number.
My second year SHO was a great car for the times until the throttle cable stuck which incidentally occurred several years later in my Contour SVT.😡

I had a Yamaha PW80 dirtbike as a kid, and later a TTR-125. I remember asking my father once "Why doesn't Yamaha make cars?" Since they make electronics, motorcyles/quads and other motorsport vhicles, and even instruments.
When I looked into it I was amazed to find they had worked on many carp projects, but never had their own true division.
Now I have another question.. Why doesn't Toyota make motorcycles?

Hey Jay as a kid I had a 1981 yz 80 2 stroke dirt bike! I bought it old and it seized but got it rebuilt for a few hundred dollars and boy did that thing sing! Effortless power all through the rev range! I remember the ttr 125 good reliable bike! And in 2010 I bought my 2 sons a pee wee 50 yammy for them! They loved it till they got into pc gaming ! I then offered them a go kart and to my shock said nah and went on to playing there games! If my parents said do you want to a go kart I would of leapt with joy! Boy today's kids are happy to play a computer game over a go kart! Then I got rc cars for them that lasted 2 weeks then back to pc! Anyway have a good day when I saw you having a pee wee and ttr I had to say hello! Take care God bless Glenn! I'm a male this is not my iPad!

@@mareewalker1096 You know I was pretty big into computer games as well, but I still would have ran at the chance to ride.
I was never able to ride the bike at my home though, so we would have to load them up and go to places where there are trails since I live in a very suburban area.
So riding wasn't something I got to do very regularly.
But I also was very into skateboarding.
PC gaming is a huge thing these days, and there are lots of grown men & women playing games, but people need to learn to unplug a bit and get outside more.
Thanks for the comment though, Glen. And yes that's interesting that we both had those models. Even today I try to go and ride when I get a chance, and I've been considering getting a street bike now that I'm a little older and less reckless.
God bless you as well, and take care!

@@drownthepoor ha ha I could not ride my bike as a kid at home but there was a spot about 30 minute walk and dad said you can ride it there but you MUST push it there! Ha ha I pushed it far enough for dad not able to hear then I'd kick it over and ride the rest of the way! That turned to riding it all over the place till I got caught by cops! Lucky they did not take it they warned me! Still kept riding it to the spot but stopped riding it anywhere and everywere! It impressed a girl I dated for a bit ha ha! I learned to drive at young age as I had .family with a farm 12 years old! Anyway I started waking up at 1 am in morning and quietly get keys to dad's car and sneak out and push the car down driveway then roll down the street and start it and go joy riding with my mates! Around 15 years old! Kept doing that till I had an accident going to fast and had to swerve to miss a parked car and drove up onto foot path and damaged front suspension! I rolled the car down my street and into driveway and in the morning dad went to shop and as soon as he got home I new what was coming! He charged into my room and you can guess what happened! See my house was on a street on a hill so I pushed it out of driveway quickly jump in then roll down street and start it and coming I came from top of street switch engine off and roll down then had enough speed to turn into driveway then push door closed quietly and put keys away job done! Anyway pleasure talking with you Jay I thought you might like that story we had some fun back in the day! Hope all your family is well and happy take care God bless you all! Glenn from Australia!

Close. Yamaha worked on the 1JZ, Toyota made the evolution on the JZ with the various 2JZ models. That's why you won't find YAMAHA markings on a 2JZ, but you will on a 1JZ. Still the DNA is there. Toyota investing in Yamaha was one of their biggest moves for sure.
